I got so much more out of this class than expected. It's a safe and judgement free environment. I can't wait to come back to do Level 2.

Ask the Community - Improv LA

Have you guys started in person classes yet?

Yes! In-person classes have returned! We now have both in-person and online available - both the same class, so the choice is yours! New session starts in a couple of weeks.

Does Improv LA have shows? (They don't have one-time intro classes, they don't have drop-ins, they don't have auditing-how are you supposed to get an idea of the quality of instruction before forking over hundreds of dollars?)

I had so much fun and enjoyed my experience, I would go back and do it all over again. I wish/hope the owners can create similar interactive museums just like this. Our reservation was at 3, but we didn't arrive until 4 and stood there all day until they were closing around 10:45. It went by so fast it didn't feel like we were there as long as we were. By far one of my most favourite things we've done together. We did most of the activities with the exceptions of just a few. Maybe we can go back for round 2, just because I enjoyed it that much. We will be returning for the other museum, Museum of Love another time- which i'm very excited for! They have packages you can choose from- I've heard it's recommended to get a two day package so you can return and complete Crimes of Passion as you might not finish in an entire day or use the second day on the other museum. I recommend earlier reservation time and have no other plans for the day. Be prepared to spend all day here or make sure to come back! Maybe eat beforehand and bring snacks. :) Staff very helpful and assisted where needed and explained activities if needed. They may validate parking if there is enough parking in the back. My favourite activities were: 18 minutes handcuffed doing mini challenges together only using the only hand that is cuffed to your partner, the lie detector room, anagrams of the zodiac killer. This was a really great opportunity for us to get off our phones and bond as a couple.

I wish they had more sections like that. The rest of the time you are free exploring the museum at your own pace. You get to leave small mementos in the museum as well that you create with your partner. Super cute activity

Instead, there was no game master. He (Steve) didn't show up until 8:30 PM, and the group before us took 2 hours and didn't finish until 8:40 PM because, according to him, they let teams keep playing until they escape--even if they go well over their one-hour reservation. The game master then tried to blame our few-minute delay for the situation, which was ridiculous. Even if we had arrived exactly at 8:00, our room still wouldn't have been ready until around 9:00 PM--the time our game was supposed to end. We've completed 60+ escape rooms, and we've never experienced anything like this. What made the experience even worse was the terrible customer service. Instead of taking accountability for their scheduling failures, the staff acted like this was normal and didn't want to issue a refund, despite being unable to provide the experience we paid for. The complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for customers' time made this by far the worst escape room experience we've ever had.

She shared interesting stories about the neighborhood and the restaurants, which made it feel more like exploring the area with a knowledgeable friend rather than a typical tour. The food was delicious and plentiful, and we even met some really nice new friends along the way. Our very first Six Taste tour was actually the Arts District tour back in 2016, so it was special to return ten years later and experience it again. Over the years we've also enjoyed their tours in Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Thai Town, Koreatown, and Little Tokyo. Every tour has been a fun way to discover great food and learn more about the neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Highly recommend!

Six Taste Food Tours is a family-owned, LA-born-and-raised business, and you can feel the love, pride, and intention in every part of the tour. We did the Little Tokyo food tour and it was incredible from start to finish. Sally, the owner and our guide, is an absolute force. She is warm, knowledgeable, fun, and has the best energy. She doesn't just show you where to eat, she teaches you the history, culture, and stories behind the neighborhood while making sure everyone feels welcomed and taken care of. And the FOOD. Wow. You will not leave hungry. Sally feeds you like family and thoughtfully curates each stop so you're getting a true taste of the neighborhood, not tourist filler. Every bite was delicious and meaningful. This is not just a food tour, it's an experience. You're learning, laughing, vibing, and eating extremely well. If you live in LA or are visiting, this is a must. They offer tours in so many different neighborhoods, and after this one, I want to do them all. Do yourself a favor and book it. You will not regret it.

Our party ordered mocktails and cocktails - the verdict on the drinks was half and half. I thought my mango mule was just okay. It was lacking the mango flavor. When we asked for an accommodation, the security guard was rude and told us that if my son wanted water, he could walk all the way to the entrance every time, despite the distance from the bowling area. Hoping to resolve the issue, I spoke with the manager, Luis Gonzalez, but unfortunately he was just as dismissive and uninformed about autism and disabilities. Rather than listening and showing compassion, he was rude and unwilling to understand my son's needs. Businesses that serve families should make an effort to educate their staff about disabilities and neurodiversity. With autism becoming more widely recognized, basic awareness, empathy, and reasonable accommodations should not be too much to ask. This experience left us feeling unwelcome and unsupported. I will also be reaching out to upper management, including Cynthia Torres, to make her aware of this situation and to see whether changes can be made. As an autism mom, it is my responsibility to advocate not only for my son but for other individuals with autism and disabilities as well. No family should have to experience being dismissed or treated without understanding when simply requesting reasonable accommodations. My hope is that this feedback leads to better education, awareness, and compassion from staff so that all guests feel welcomed and respected.
