We went to the location after finding Frog Burger and they recommended trying out the actual brew pub. I was not disappointed. The beer you can test out comes in shot glasses and you have choose which one or few you will enjoy. The service was great, although they didn't speak English quite as well as the smaller restaurant it still made the night enjoyable. We were spending only 2 days in Paris and felt a bit intimidated since we don't speak the language and aren't adventurous eaters. I had seen good reviews for Frog online and wanted to try it out, and were very happy to look across the street and, voila - there it was! The waiter spoke perfect English and was able to translate what was needed, but a lot of the menu was easy to decipher. We felt very much at home. We ordered 2 orders of the fried chicken with a side of mac and cheese. I asked the waitress if there was anything else except macaroni or cheese in the mac and cheese and I made it clear it was for my 3 year old daughter,and after checking with her manager, she said it was just mac and cheese. The manager came over later to confirm again, it was just mac and cheese. When our order came we not only both got the porc meal, not the chicken, but my daughter's mac and cheese has big chunks of jalapeño in it. I called the manager over, who said that the slices of jalapeño was "part of the sauce". He brought our chicken over later with the corrected mac and cheese. To end this terrible service, my daughter has just spent the entire night vomiting the mac and cheese they made. Three giant vomits of macaroni. Terrible. read more

Man, first we asked for wings and we were told they don't sell them anymore or don't have them. Well, someone outside was enjoying them. O_O. Second, we got our appetizers pretty quickly and enjoyed them. However, we waited around 30 minutes for our food that never came. I asked a different waiter to just give us the check and told him that we never got the pulled pork tacos and HE SAID " I asked you if everything was going fine and you said 'yes'" WTH. Outstanding little bar in the trocadero neighborhood. It's got that shot/beer type vibe going on, which is not all that easy to find in Paris (or at least for me it wasn't) On Halloween, they had a DJ playing, and he was excellent. I got the impression that most of the staff was English/UK, so speaking English isn't a problem. Very friendly staff, good vibe. Worth going again. read more

This has to be the worst customer service that I have encountered. Th Pub has the worst bartenders, who are rude and bypass certain customers and attend to others first. There is one active bartender and the others are no where to be seen. Would not recommend this pub for travelers, seems as if only locals were welcomed. read more

Excellent chicken wings! Very large with super tasty fried coating - a bit like sweet and sour chicken. We had their in-house Ginger Twist beer - very good! Yep. Been there done that. Haven't eaten this bad since Italy. Got the BBQ platter for three of us to share and fish and chips with Carmel ice cream for one of the kids. Coleslaw was flavorless and had cilantro in it. Bbq ribs had a single bite each and were over cooked almost to jerky. Bbq wings were more Asian than anything else and were heavily breaded almost like something you would find in the freezer section. Beans were ok, but a little undercooked. Sliders were ok. Texas toast was like eating croutons. Mac and cheese was sour. Yes, sour. Not creamy cheesy, sour cheese. Son got one small piece of fish and a small side of fries, and a small carton of strawberry ice cream. Was supposed to be Carmel. Guess you have to use your imagination when eating here. Got one napkin for the four of us. One. With BBQ food. Part way through we managed to get three more. Asked were the wash room was and was given lemon scented wipes. Guess they don't have a wash room? Looking around, most people were not eating, just drinking and watching the game. Total waste of $42 euros. Didn't finish everything, but still left hungry and a like sick inside. Extremely extremely loud. read more

The Frog XVI is a great spot for a hand crafted beer in the 16th. The pub food is fantastic (of course it's mostly fried, or it wouldn't be pub food), and the appetizer platters are more than enough for two people. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere gets jumping after about 7 at night. Believe it or not, it's also a great place for kids. The kids menu is reasonable at EUR7 for dinner, drink, and dessert, but on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 4-6 they lower the kids menu price to EUR2 which you're just not going to find anywhere else in Paris. Kids menu includes a burger, fish sticks, or chicken fingers, all with fries. Staff is completely bi-lingual English/French. read more

Good beer, BAD service. Came here on my last night in Paris. The cute female bartender looked like she didn't speak a word of English and was bitchy towards me the entire evening (reminds me of a server I know back home). Anyway, I asked her if they did a flight of beer since I wanted to try the 7 on tap. She had no idea what I was saying (even though I can see the paddle where they can transport them in the dish rack) and slapped down the food and drink menu on the bar in front of me. Luckily, I did research beforehand and knew what I wanted. Unfortunately they never heard of keeping the tab open and quickly closed on me. Couple minutes later, I ordered a 2nd beer from the male bartender who I saw speak some English to a guest. I asked if they sold their bottled beer here at the establishment and was disappointed to hear they didn't. For the love of...they're a brewpub! They should be selling their beers here on site.
