Salmon with crab and shrimp
Andy C.

Lamp chops , heard were amazing and they were. Cooked to perfection. Spinach and asparagus were just ok, had a grainy texture. Salmon with shrimp and crab very good as well. Ps spouse said mashed potatoes were very good. Alice was a great server. The restaurant is nicely laid out with a bar area and table service. Will return

In my opinion, this is the best restaurant on Kent Island and I've been to every single one of them and there are several that are trying to be too fancy and they're not and there are several that are just little places to get a crabcake or something like that and that's fine if that's what you want, but if you want really, really good food at a fair price with good service you go to Frix's

The gumbo, French dip, mac and cheese, and crab dip (not pictured) were 10/10, absolutely delicious and worth getting. The grilled pound cake being grilled was so unique and delicious, the pineapple tasted canned, but all in all it was decent. We didn't realize how close to closing time they were when we came in and only realized when we left - I point this out because the servers seemed to rush, be annoyed, and weren't calm/cool/collected, but I get it. I would be that way too if someone came in late. The interior design was simple, lots of brown and blacks, but an ADORABLE bunny greets you on the right when you enter.

Deliciousness !!! Lamb chops, spinach & asparagus:)

This is the best restaurant from bay bridge to ocean city md. The food is consistently excellent. I always get the same thing, lamb chops, spinach & asparagus. Delicious every time.

Ribeye, mushrooms and broccoli

I was visiting the area and looking for a casual dinner spot. We made a reservation as it was Saturday, but it was not crowded at all. They have a spacious seating area with tables as well as seating at the bar. They had a live guitarist playing which was nice and added to the ambiance. The food portions were pretty amazing based on the price paid. I had the sirloin with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The steak had a great grill flavor, but was lacking in seasoning. Aside from that, it was cooked perfectly. I had a martini drink with tequila. That was very strong! Just a heads up :) service was great! We would come back again.

The ribeye steak was terrible. Small tough cut of horrible beef. The grilled sirloin steak from Golden Corral is superior to the ribeye here. The hand cut French fries morphed into a limp soggy ball of oil covered potato. The macaroni and cheese was bland. The Sweet Islander cocktail lacked any alcohol taste. For a $55 dinner, you gotta do much better. Spend your money elsewhere folks.

Great steaks and great service. The sautéed spinach was delicious and the filet and the ribeye were tender and tasty.

Beware. They almost doubled some of their drink prices recently - and we didn't find out til the bill came. Very disappointing.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and incredibly quick, and all of the food we tried was so good. The atmosphere is lively without being too much, and makes the lunch feel a little more fun. We definitely left way too full and ended up walking around the mall afterward just to recover. The location is perfect for that too. Always a fun lunch spot and somewhere we're happy to come back to.

Someone in the group noticed the swirling tornado of trash right outside the front door. That didn't bother me, though I could see how someone would think that represents overall management and attention to detail. Just like a previous reviewer upon seating we got our glasses of water but waited about 30 minutes AFTER we'd drunk the glasses dry to get another. At least two of us asked for a refill during that time. So that's quite poor in itself. The first round of meat was actually incredibly delicious (it's why I went from 1 to 1.5 stars before graciously rounding to 2. Yes this could have been a 1 star review). The following rounds ranged from ok-to-good but nothing made us say "wow". Here the Star Rating killers... and I'll start with the big one. Or should I say Bug One. After about two rounds I happened to look down at my salad and saw several fruit flies trying to escape. Either they wanted a better dressing or wanted to go back to the trough, I dunno but at least 3 were trying to get off my plate depressa. You'll ask why I didn't say anything? This dinner was a lovely treat from family members who I may never see again so I didn't want to ruin their gift. I was however watchful to make sure none in the party went for a second helping at the insect bar. 2: I know it's a Brazilian place and the music is trying to accommodate that but unchecked playing of Sepultura over the speakers is a tough bite to swallow at a "nice restaurant". I'm sure someone spotified "artists from Brazil" and simply pressed play. 3. It's actually filthy in there. Sorry but grease builds up.

I had been here several years back with my sister but finally made it in again with my husband…read more Now that we live nearby hopefully we will come more often. You have a choice between AYCE or by the pound. I know last time I came I got AYCE but honestly I don't eat that much anymore, so by the pound is more cost effective for me. There also are two different prices based on whether you want BBQ + sushi with your buffet. (Sushi??? I'll stick to BBQ when going Brazilian.) I tried to sample small amounts of the dishes on the buffet and then got some picanha and another steak cut (maminha). Both BBQ cuts were very good - I liked the maminha more. (Fraldihna is my usual favorite, and it's kind of similar to the maminha.). They had a chicken with capers that was probably my favorite of the buffet dishes. The stroghanoff wasn't bad. Some of the other meat dishes on the buffet were a bit dry. I got a mystery empanada which turned out to be guava & cheese, if it had been warmed it would have been better. I love guava, but there was just a little small rectangle of guava paste in the very center; probably 80% of the empanada had no filling. Similarly, the cheese bread balls were cold and hard. Those need to be right out of the oven to be worth it. It's a shame, they probably were good when they were first made but they weren't by the time I got to them. The potato salad was ok but the balance of mayo to potato & other veg was off (too much mayo). I had some fresh fruit too. All in all, I'd definitely come back (I love the steak!) but I'd focus on the things I know are good rather than trying a lot of things.

I used to live walking distance to here and went once for lunch with my girlfriend of the time for the lunch buffet. It was solid especially the carne asada. I also loved the fried tapioca squares. They also give you a much food food, as you have plenty of sides and toppings to go with your meats. The service was friendly and quick, with our waiter even handing out these little jars of Brazilian spices to his table so they could try an authentic bite. The ambiance was also well done, with good music and low lighting to make everything seem more intimate. The only small con was the open kitchen meant there was the smell of smoke in the beginning, but they turned on the fan pretty quickly so it didn't feel smokey at all for the rest of the night. Would def recommend and return.

Most recently, I was able to come in for brunch with a friend, and we had a great time! When you make a reservation, you're given options of chef's counter, dining table, or bar. The chef's counter is bar seating, but you can watch them cook, and there's plenty of space for your own food. I ordered the Escondidinho com carne and split the Rabanada with a friend. The Escondidinho com carne takes on the structure of a shepard's/cottage pie with a layer of meat, yucca, and cheese. It was flavorful, but heavy and salty at points, definitely something I would share. The Rabanada worked well as a dessert for us, and it was great! The outside was crispy, and I really enjoyed the hint of passionfruit throughout. The drinks were also good, as they're what they're known for. I'm not an expert on alcohol, so all I can say is that I enjoyed them.
