Horrible experience at Fritz Ford of Riverside service dept. My first truck had a new turbo put on it by Fritz, only $2800, truck blew up in less than 50 miles. Now I had them look at my 2023 Escape, radio screen not working. $215 diagnosis, now they have no idea what's wrong, they want to take apart dash and want $700. They need to look at wiring, the screen lights up for reverse camera, screen works but not for radio. It takes 20 minutes to access back of radio. I tell them no; they still demand $215 diagnosis and have no idea of what's wrong. SCAMERS. Do not use Fritz service dept, they are also the highest price parts in the inland empire. Specific to Quick Lane more than anything, but it solidified my overall, lackluster experience as a first, and last time Ford owner! Schedule service for a recall and a small maintenance item. Still end up waiting for the vehicle for 30 and half hours. No loaner offered. Items on customer concerns listed, that I didn't mention and also labeled as 'customer requests not to perform'. One was tire inflation. You'd think that would be the easiest to take care for a customer ...just further proof Ford doesn't back their vehicles. Only minor win, no one was ever in line, so I was in and out of the office in minutes and why the one star other than having to give a star. I will say, the front office seems more a fraternization area than an area of business. Multiple staff in the front socializing, I get it. But none could open a door for a customer. You could feel the mood change when a customer entered the business like a manager walking into a conversation they should not have been having. I know, I'm leadership at my own company. No customer should experience or feel that. The overall feel was dark due to the lighting inside, open, but not really inviting. (All is specific to their QuickLane to the east of the dealership towards CarMax). Overall, underwhelming, no one going out of their way to do more than the bare minimum at best. Honestly the first, and the last time our family purchases a Ford. I could care less for Fritts more than where we bought our vehicle, at the old Citrus Ford location in Ontario ...their new one sucks! Multiple recalls, warranties that only go 36K miles. Cannot recommend Fritts Ford at all. I was looking for a 2023 Ford Expedition and contacted Costco. They put me in contact with Fritz and they were fully aware of what I wanted. Person who they put me in contact with or who contacted me was basically a telephone operator for their online sales operation it would appear. In her correspondence with me she provided names of other individuals within the department that could also help me. I drove out to Fritz to talk to this person and the sales person went back to get her and she was too busy to visit with me. Sales person was basically clueless to what I was looking for and all the information I had already shared. I couldn't believe this lack of customer service or concern for a customer who was ready to buy. I thanked the salesman and said no thanks and went to Hamborg Ford in Norco. What a difference in customer service! Needless to say within 90 minutes from the time I stepped on their lot I was driving off with my new 2023 Ford Expedition. It was everything that I had wanted in the order form that I had told Fritts Ford. They had outstanding service and great follow up. When Costco called to follow up on whether I purchased a vehicle or not and I explained my concerns with them they said they would take care of it and reach out to the dealer. Someone from Fritz did call me back and listen to what I had to say and thanked me for sharing it. I have purchased six other cars using Costco and it was always seamless. On the fourth visit, I was told the first three times I bought the car into the dealership nothing was done and since the warranty expired I need to pay a deductible before they would look into the same issue I bought the vehicle into Fritts Ford three previous times and they did nothing but lie to me regarding the issue with my vehicle. Fritts Fords service was so bad I had no choice but to laugh at it and move on. I went in for a recall and asked to have the tires rotated as well. They couldn't rotate the tires because the tread was too low, no problem with that I'm glad they told me...except they didn't tell me. They charged me for the rotation even though they did not do the rotation. They also did not tell me about this and I only found out when reading the techs notes after paying. (The notes were also wrong as they said my front tires were worn even though it is clearly the rear tires.) I went back and told them I needed a refund as this wasn't completed but they can't refund me since I used ford points. I sent an email to the general manager which is what I was instructed to do if I had any problems. She said she could refund me my points. This was a month ago and I have not received anything. She also offered me a free oil change for my trouble which would be great but I have an electric car. I raised this point to her and never heard back. So I guess no free oil change or refund now. I had been looking for a new 2022 Ford Maverick for several weeks before learning about Fritts Ford. I contacted them and over the next few weeks, they kept me abreast of what was going on with the Mavericks they had in stock. For some reason, they got 14 of them. When we finally showed up at the dealer, they had just 2 left. I finally made the 5 hour trip from Fresno, to Riverside and I was glad I did! I now am the proud owner of a 2022 Maverick. German Mendoza was my salesman and Nick was the sales manager. Both were outstanding! No pressure, no unnecessary car dealer "show biz", just a straight forward car buying experience. Every dealer that I contacted was charging $5,000 up to $20,000 over MSRP for Mavericks. I looked at probably close to 20 dealers and Fritts Ford's markup was "only" $2,995. While it bothers me to have to pay over sticker for anything, given the market, and Ford's ability to produce several of their models, I was pretty happy to only pay $2,995 over. And just for FYI, Villa Ford in Orange was asking $20,000 over for Mavericks (and more for some other models), Huntington Beach Ford wants $15,000 over sticker, Galpin Ford wants $15,000 over and Advantage Ford wanted $10,000, Auto Nation Ford in Tustin was a close second for my business at $5,000 over sticker for Mavericks. German and Nick both understood that I drove 5 hours to try to work a deal with them and they ended up giving me $900 more on my trade in than I wanted, and took $500 off the price of the truck. So, the $2,995 overage actually turned out to be $1500. Additionally, my wife needs to eat with her prescription medication. I told them we needed to go out and get some food so she could take her pills. Nick told us that if we stayed and continued working the deal, he would have food delivered to the dealer. Good to his word, a large chicken bowl was delivered to my wife within 15 minutes. Say what you want, that is excellent customer service and it shows that they care about their customers. German and Nick also stepped away for 15 minutes or so, so we could have a quiet lunch and discuss the purchase. Based on past experience with the dealership and service department, I would have given 5 stars. Recently however, the service dept hasn't been the same. A few months ago I had my car in for warranty service. I didn't hear from them the next day so I called to check the status and they hadn't even started to look at my vehicle. I called Ford support to see if they can resolve my issues with software update but they directed me back to the dealership but they can't take me back until after Labor day (today is 8/14/23). I took 1 star off and will adjust further depending on the outcome of my next service appointment in 3 weeks! ******update 9/8/23****** Taking 2 stars off for my experience so far after finally brining my car in for warranty repairs. After waiting several weeks for my appointment and numerous email reminders from Fritts about my appointment, the service advisor shows up 27 minutes late. Just like another post, the same advisor, Steven kept me waiting nearly a half hour after they had just opened. They've had my car for 4 days without a call or update until he finally calls me this morning. He goes on to admit he got a call from Ford corporate since I had escalated my issue to a manager there. He claimed they couldn't duplicate a lot of the issues I had claimed. When I asked which specific issues, he didn't know and claimed he had to talk to the technician. Wait, didn't the technician just tell him the problems couldn't be duplicated? I will start out by saying that the staff are very polite, well mannered, and friendly. But I didn't come here to tell people about my day, I came here to buy a reliable vehicle for my family. And that is the furthest from what I received. I bought a used lemon for $30,000. Here is a list of a few of the issues I've had in the first few months: Week 3: turbo actuator needed to be replaced Week 8: turbos needed to be replaced (they had my vehicle for almost a month) Week 16: EGR cooler needed to be replaced Week 18: key fob can't be detected Week 20: cool and level sensor needed to be replaced... I've never been so frustrated in my life. On top of that, I called for my first service and told them the year make and model of my truck. They told me to bring it into the "quick" lane. When I arrived they told me it would be 90 minutes. 90 minutes later they told me it would be at least another hour because they didn't have the parts they needed to do an oil change. That is the reason I called. I've had the vehicle for 6 months and the check engine light has been on for 5 of those months. Synopsis: called to make an appointment- I was advised first come, first served basis as per the service department. I show up at 7a, I'm 3rd in line. My car goes back at 7:10am- impressive. Advisor said about an hour, maybe an hour fifteen. Kinda weird for an LOFS (lube, oil filter service) coupled with tire rotation and MPI (multi-point inspection) but ok. Over two hours and 20 minutes later, the car is finally done. When I specifically asked the reasoning for the delay, "not sure but at least you got everything done for free" WTH?!?! I visited Fritts Ford on Indiana in Riverside, California. I received SUPERB service and would like to share the experience. I went to Fritts to inquire about the "locking mechanism" on my Ford Bronco. It seems that the car was "programmed" to unlock ALL doors once I unlocked the vehicle. I did not feel that this was "safe" because ANYONE could, at any time, enter my vehicle from the passenger side. I spoke with Skyler. He was an exceptional and attentive listener. He researched the matter and immediately called me back to the dealership. (It was my choice to drive back to Fritts, incidentally.) Skyler entered my vehicle and changed the "programming" for me.
