I've taken my vehicle to Fritts Ford three times for the same problem. On the fourth visit, I was told the first three times I bought the car into the dealership nothing was done and since the warranty expired I need to pay a deductible before they would look into the same issue I bought the vehicle into Fritts Ford three previous times and they did nothing but lie to me regarding the issue with my vehicle. On the dealership website, I left a similar review. Someone from Fritts Ford left a message for me to contact them, but no name or extension. I would avoid this dealership and working with Ron in sales. My wife and I had been car shopping all weekend and we had our eyes set on an explorer. Wanted to downsize from a suburban because of gas etc. Went and saw a vehicle on Friday from another dealership didn't want to impulse buy let's look around for the best deal. Went to this location and Ron at first was nice and having great conversation. We looked at multiple vehicles and found one we wanted to make a deal on. Then things just shifted out of nowhere. We explained and were very open and upfront with Ron about how we went to your competitors and we wanted to see the best deal out. On the lot looking over some pre owned vehicles for 20 mins and no one approached me, OK im good. Called my daughter to come over and see a vehicle that looked good. In the meantime salespeople are looking at me and I guess since im down at the far end of the lot didn't want to walk over, that does tell me a lot. I walk past them, no one greets me. I had been looking for a new 2022 Ford Maverick for several weeks before learning about Fritts Ford. I contacted them and over the next few weeks, they kept me abreast of what was going on with the Mavericks they had in stock. For some reason, they got 14 of them. When we finally showed up at the dealer, they had just 2 left. I finally made the 5 hour trip from Fresno, to Riverside and I was glad I did! I now am the proud owner of a 2022 Maverick. German Mendoza was my salesman and Nick was the sales manager. Both were outstanding! No pressure, no unnecessary car dealer "show biz", just a straight forward car buying experience. Every dealer that I contacted was charging $5,000 up to $20,000 over MSRP for Mavericks. I looked at probably close to 20 dealers and Fritts Ford's markup was "only" $2,995. While it bothers me to have to pay over sticker for anything, given the market, and Ford's ability to produce several of their models, I was pretty happy to only pay $2,995 over. And just for FYI, Villa Ford in Orange was asking $20,000 over for Mavericks (and more for some other models), Huntington Beach Ford wants $15,000 over sticker, Galpin Ford wants $15,000 over and Advantage Ford wanted $10,000, Auto Nation Ford in Tustin was a close second for my business at $5,000 over sticker for Mavericks. German and Nick both understood that I drove 5 hours to try to work a deal with them and they ended up giving me $900 more on my trade in than I wanted, and took $500 off the price of the truck. So, the $2,995 overage actually turned out to be $1500. Additionally, my wife needs to eat with her prescription medication. I told them we needed to go out and get some food so she could take her pills. Nick told us that if we stayed and continued working the deal, he would have food delivered to the dealer. Good to his word, a large chicken bowl was delivered to my wife within 15 minutes. Say what you want, that is excellent customer service and it shows that they care about their customers. German and Nick also stepped away for 15 minutes or so, so we could have a quiet lunch and discuss the purchase. Advisor said about an hour, maybe an hour fifteen. Kinda weird for an LOFS (lube, oil filter service) coupled with tire rotation and MPI (multi-point inspection) but ok. Over two hours and 20 minutes later, the car is finally done. When I specifically asked the reasoning for the delay, "not sure but at least you got everything done for free" WTH?!?! A few months ago I had my car in for warranty service. I didn't hear from them the next day so I called to check the status and they hadn't even started to look at my vehicle. Since they don't offer a rental, I had to pick up my car to bring back later when I can make arrangements to be without my car for several days. I called Ford support to see if they can resolve my issues with software update but they directed me back to the dealership but they can't take me back until after Labor day (today is 8/14/23). Their online reservation system shows availability the next day but apparently not for me. I took 1 star off and will adjust further depending on the outcome of my next service appointment in 3 weeks! ******update 9/8/23****** Taking 2 stars off for my experience so far after finally brining my car in for warranty repairs. After waiting several weeks for my appointment and numerous email reminders from Fritts about my appointment, the service advisor shows up 27 minutes late. Just like another post, the same advisor, Steven kept me waiting nearly a half hour after they had just opened. They've had my car for 4 days without a call or update until he finally calls me this morning. He goes on to admit he got a call from Ford corporate since I had escalated my issue to a manager there. He claimed they couldn't duplicate a lot of the issues I had claimed. When I asked which specific issues, he didn't know and claimed he had to talk to the technician. Wait, didn't the technician just tell him the problems couldn't be duplicated? They didn't look at my car because I can check the status online and had seen the car hadn't moved since I dropped it off and until after Steven called me. They hadn't even started the car for several days so how could they have checked anything? I asked him to have the tech call me so he can expalin what it was he couldn't duplicate. Haven't heard from Steven or anyone from Fritts since. The guy lied. ~~~~I should also add, the last time I took my car in to check several issues I am still experiencing now, they didn't even start looking at it for 24hrs so I too my car back. They did however leave a sticker to remind me of my next oil change. ELECTRIC CARS DO NOT USE OIL!!!!!~~~~~ 9/11/23 Still no call from Steve or his tech so I call the EV support manager at Ford but she's on another call but will call me back later today. No call. I get home and check my email and see a message from Fritts saying they're sorry I missed my appointment last week........ Apparently they don't know they have my car! Not only can they not "duplicate" the issues I reported, they can't even find my car! I will start out by saying that the staff are very polite, well mannered, and friendly. But I didn't come here to tell people about my day, I came here to buy a reliable vehicle for my family. And that is the furthest from what I received. I bought a used lemon for $30,000. Here is a list of a few of the issues I've had in the first few months: Week 3: turbo actuator needed to be replaced Week 8: turbos needed to be replaced (they had my vehicle for almost a month) Week 16: EGR cooler needed to be replaced Week 18: key fob can't be detected Week 20: cool and level sensor needed to be replaced... I've never been so frustrated in my life. On top of that, I called for my first service and told them the year make and model of my truck. They told me to bring it into the "quick" lane. When I arrived they told me it would be 90 minutes. 90 minutes later they told me it would be at least another hour because they didn't have the parts they needed to do an oil change. That is the reason I called. I've had the vehicle for 6 months and the check engine light has been on for 5 of those months. All I wanted was a reliable vehicle for my family and that is the furthest from what I got. I'm beyond pissed with sales and service here. read more

I went to Fritts to inquire about the "locking mechanism" on my Ford Bronco. It seems that the car was "programmed" to unlock ALL doors once I unlocked the vehicle. I did not feel that this was "safe" because ANYONE could, at any time, enter my vehicle from the passenger side. I spoke with Skyler. He was an exceptional and attentive listener. Our family has been very loyal to Ford but the greed from grimy dealerships is ruining the brand. We have an f-150, a Raptor, and we ordered 2 Mavericks. I placed an preorder for a Ford Maverick from Michael Hatter back in June 2021 and after 10 long months with zero communication, we finally got the call that our truck was delivered. I got off work early and headed straight to Riverside (a 1 hour drive) Everything seemed great, we arrived and saw the truck with the color and every specific option that we chose. It was the only Maverick on the lot. This is before we realized that Fritts is one of those very grimy dealerships with scandalous sales managers. Specifically, Jessie Lamas. With a 750 credit score they said that we would receive a 7% interest rate?? And they would not honor the rates going on at the time of the order. After we told them that we would rather get financed with our own bank and come within the next couple days with a better interest rate, Jessie said that they would sell our allocation right from under us to the next person who wanted it and for an added dealer markup. We had to haggle and do all of the typical sleazy dealership stuff while we just waited for them to give us a better rate. I almost paid cash for the entire thing to avoid the situation which I did not even want to do. This is how they treat paying, loyal customers that patiently wait 10 months for their custom orders! After the whole situation, it completely ruined the experience for us and my mom almost didn't even want to get the truck. It was no longer fun and exciting, just very stressful and it left a bad taste in our mouth. FYI if you have a custom order from Ford you can still contact Ford directly and change which dealer receives your allocation.
