From the box - fish sandwich.. ohh the fries!!
    Krista Z.

So took me a day to get to write this .. but we tried Frisch fish sandwich this past Friday and while we typically think of this restaurant we thing of delicious broasted chicken and potatoes - hoagies ( you gotta try the Italian) and pizza... but now will have to associate fish during lent there too! We settled on the fish sandwich meal which was $11.95 for what you see pictures and does come with a drink .. oh the fries .... yes they taste as good as they look! The fish was delicious and it's on a Breadworks bun ( that was very fresh) .. had a little trouble getting though to order - hey it was a Friday night during lent - keep trying it's worth it! We probably could have gotten one and shared - there was def enough food. Well done to all at Frisch's ... I am all about supporting local places .. especially now .. so get out south hills and support this place and our other long time locals!

I've been here only once before. I attended a graduation party here a year ago in their banquet area. I enjoyed the food then, so decided to try it for lunch today. I started with a cup sausage ravioli soup. I wasn't sure if it would be a thick and creamy soup or a broth (thin) type soup. It was a thin soup but flavorful. It was $4 for the cup of soup which I thought was a little steep. I was impressed with the care they gave it however for transport. The put the styrofoam soup container and placed that inside of a plastic bag to avoid spills and then put that in a paper bag. That was a nice touch. Then I ordered a ham, turkey, bacon club sandwich. It was only $7.99 and was delicious and huge. That was a really good sandwich. I know that their breasted chicken is really good from what I've been told by coworkers. I would definitely go back again.

I had to stop into Fredo's after seeing photos from my daughter who had just spent two weeks in Bosnia. The interior of Fredo's is like stepping into a small shop you'd find in Bosnia. The yellow walls are welcoming, and cozy. There's a small variety of snacks, and beverages on one side of the shop, and a large counter where you'd place your order. There are a few tables for dining in, but I chose to take my order home. I ordered a small Cevapi and Sirnica, plus picked up some Croatian chocolate for dessert. The Cevapi were delicious skinless beef and veal sausages, that were nicely savory and well browned. A cup of chopped onions, and what I think was a yogurt sauce came with my Cevapi which added more flavor and an overall goodness to the Cevapi. A bread similar to a pita made eating Cevapi easy, and filling. The Sirnica was equally delicious. A wonderful mix of flaky, chewy phyllo pastry, and cheese baked inside the pastry. It definitely hit the spot with a nice balance of a light pastry and mild cheese. I ate the leftover half cold, and it was just as good! The lady at the counter was friendly, and patient with me. The menu is truly a deli menu full of sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. If you're wanting to go for the House Specials, you won't be disappointed!

Upon entering the place is very cute and spacious with plenty of seating both indoors and outside. Of course outside there are some games for the kids or adults. We were greeted immediately upon entering and was seated right away. Our server was nice but we had some things wrong with our order and just didn't complain. There is a good amount of options for Gluten Free people which is nice. When taking our order I asked how many sauces we could get I'd we got the 12 count of wings. He stated we could get 2. We ordered the Dry Rub and the Garlic Parm, we only got the Garlic Parm. We got the Buffalo Cauliflower for an appetizer. Some pieces were super mushy and I wasn't the biggest fan but my boyfriend thought it was pretty good. The wings though overcooked has a decent flavor. My son got probably the best deal in the menu but he said the Mac and Cheese had no flavor. He loved the tenders though he said they were really good. I like that they have a happy hour and they do have seltzer on tap which is nice. I got the Watmerlon one and it wasn't overbearing fake watermelon flavor it was refreshing and light. We didn't complain about the food because there was only one cook the day we went and it got pretty busy in there and he was doing it all himself. He was definitely overwhelmed and you could tell but he did a decent job. It did take a good while to get our food but again he was by himself. Id be back to try their burger when I looked over at the table behind me they got it and it looked super juicy, big and yummy!

This coffee shop is in a plaza right on Library Road in Castle Shannon. The inside of it was cozy and had a Christmas tree with a couple of stuffed armchairs and then there was a coffee counter as well as a small retail section filled with mugs, shirts, snacks and a wall decorated with a wood plank backdrop, a Coca Cola sign and a bright yellow quirky map art piece. For our coffees on this afternoon I decided to go with a large eggnog latte while my wife went with a pistachio cold brew as recommended by one of their signs. The wait was somewhere between 10 to 15 minutes as even though the shop was closing in less than an hour, people kept rolling in. My coffee here ended up being pretty good as the eggnog made my latte thick and silky. The sweetness and flavor were definitely present and while the spices were there they were subtle and I wished there was more of them. My espresso was also hidden behind the eggnog flavor which wasn't surprising at all. As for my wife's coffee, it was entirely too sweet. She took one sip and didn't take another which prompted me to try it. It was ridiculously sweet and until we added some milk at home to cut that sweetness it was borderline undrinkable. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. While my wife's coffee was a miss, mine was a hit so I would like to try some of their other drinks.
