I took my car in for a new break line and to fix a front end wobble. They were so slow they wound up keeping it for 3 Months, yes thats right, I said 3 MONTHS. When I got it back it was wobbling more than ever and fishtailing all over the road, my hood was bent and now has a permanent crease across it because they could not figure out how to close the hood properly, one of my hood springs was missing but at least the brakes worked. I took it back to them and told them to fix it, they replace a tire, add some "special" adjusting joint to my front end and when I got it back $1100 or more later it still shook in the front end, and they ran it out of gas while working on it so that when I was driving home, I got less than one block away before running out of gas. I called them and told them to come and bring me some gas, which they did but then asked me to pay for the gas in the can. Needless to say, I'm not happy with the outcome and won't be going back. read more

The last service we received was great. We had a simple coolant flush done that time. We must say, we are very particular with our car and unfortunately we won't go back to Friends Auto. The reason why is a large section, about palm sized of the clear coat on my rear drivers side door was scraped similar to sandpaper damage. Also, fade type stains looked to be on the plastic headlight cowling and we are not sure how to clean it off. James offered to pay for a wash, wax, and detail of the car in good faith. I must admit the parking at Friends is super tight and so many other businesses are going on that I can't risk bringing my car there to get anymore body/paint damage for great low price service. I have never received paint damage at the dealership. Be happy for you all, at least we won't be taking up space on that long wait list for Friends auto service. read more

The latch on the hood of my car was acting funny and two other mechanics were not able to fix it. They both told me I needed a new latch for my hood. I took the car in and withing 10 minutes the latch fixed just like new WITHOUT having to buy a new latch. Very friendly and great service! read more

Just took my car there for a major service 120k in stead of the dealership. Primarily because my car is getting older and I just didn't want to get slammed at the dealership when I have so many miles. I had gotten a recommended by a friend of mine who swears on this place. I walked in and was greeted told the girl what I needed to get done, a guy by the name of James came out so he could go over everything with me. I had a copy of my last major service (90k) and after speaking with him for about 5 min, I showed it to him to make sure the same items are done. I felt very comfortable with him. He told me a couple items on there that would not need to be done since they had been done before. He wasn't pushy at all! His prices were excellent, and some of the items I wanted repaired I wanted him to get the parts straight from the dealership (That way I could feel confident it was like dealer work, but for much less labor). When I saw the final invoice, he had charged me less than the dealership had charged me for the same parts!!!!! Thank God for James, I won't even go for an oil change anywhere but him. GO TO THIS GUY! HE IS AMAZING And anyone who is skeptical, go and talk to him first and see what you think, you will know when someone is swaying you, or if someone is giving you a professional opinion. Me being a woman I was very leery about going to him without a man being present because of all the horror stories you hear about women being taken advantage of by mechanics, since the first day I walked in the door (5 years ago) I have never gone to another mechanic. Besides the great service and prices, James and his wife Rose are extremely friendly and helpful. There has been times when I showed up without an appointment (Which I would not advise b/c he is ALWAYS busy) and he still took me in. There was a time when I needed a very small fix on something and he didn't even charge me for the time. This is the kind of place where once you're in, you'll never leave. I went earlier this week and after everything was fixed I was preparing to leave and heard buzzing. There was the BIGGEST flying bug in my car I have EVER seen!!! These guys are awesome. After having my vehicle broken into, I brought it to Friends Auto to have my door lock replaced. I have a remote control to unlock my doors and rather than pushing an upsell and talk me into getting my locks re-keyed, James talked some sense into me and reminded me that the truth is I never use the driver side key and to re-key the lock would be $185 I didn't need to spend. Left the shop without doubting about what I've paid for and with confidence that my car was thoroughly looked at. James even fixed my remote control button that was almost dead at no cost when I asked him if they program car remote control! Saved me ~$50-100 easily xD.
