My kids decided on Friendly's for dinner the other night, and it turned out to be a complete disaster. It was a really slow night as I recall, and you could tell that the staff was in no hurry to seat you at a table. By the time we finally got situated, our silly waiter came out with the menus and games for the kids to play with. There was nothing unusual about our orders that would seem to throw off the kitchen staff, but apparently, there was some sort of problem with how they were preparing the food that night. My wife ordered beef that tasted like chicken, and I had ordered a cheeseburger that wasn't cooked properly. After three bites into the burger, I felt a piece of the uncooked meat drop off in my mouth. Such a horrible taste that it made me sick to my stomach. The goofy waiter noticed that my food was not cooked properly, but didn't do much to make me feel better, either. Friendly's has always been one of my favorite regional chains; growing up I ate at quite a few in Pennsylvania. My main one was in Palmyra, but I frequented this location and the one in Hershey. As Friendly's hit hard times, they closed many of their locations; I was happy at least this one stayed open in the area. I recently came back here due to having coupons. My mother, grandmother, and I had lunch on a weekday. The restaurant was not busy and the staff was attentive and friendly. Friendly's is located along Quentin Road south of Lebanon. It's in an area filled with restaurants and local shopping options. The area isn't doing as well, but this location still seemed happy. The restaurant stands alone in its own colorful building. The dining room isn't large, but has comfortable tables, high tops, and booths. We sat near the window; it was nice to be in the sun on a cold day. Everything was clean, including the restrooms. The menu has gotten larger and more unique since last I've eaten here. I tried one of their specialty burgers and loved how it was cooked and tasted- everything was fresh and crisp. The fries were thin cut and yummy. I was thrilled with their strong and delicious fresh brewed iced tea. Of course eating you, you have to have their ice cream! They have countless options. The GrubHub delivery was perfect and I am impressed that eggs cooked in different manner were absolutely correct in the way they were made. My only complaint is that the delivery packaging which is excellent for our Earth, but not so great for eating sunny side or over light eggs. The cardboard soaks up the yoke. The beef stroganoff was high in salt , the worst part was the beef , the beef was chewy , it tasted over microwaved. Today my husband and myself went to eat lunch at Friendly's in Lebanon Pa. What a mistake!! We both ordered the Fish and chips dinner. Well, the fish was terrible, like rubber and slimy. We called the waitress over and she took my plate to show the manager. When she came back she stated that 5 people have complained that the fish was spoiled. My husband only took a few bites and I only took one bite not able to bite through it. My question is...... if other people complained that it was spoiled, WHY did they keep serving it?????????? We never ate there before and were happy to see it was a place of business that was finally reopen. Well they better close their doors again. My mother in law and her friend were out to lunch yesterday (2/4/2020) and after they left their waiter came running out to them and yelled "where's my money?" My mother in law and her friend were sure they left the tip on the table and the guy said I was expecting a $20 tip for that! So being in an obviously uncomfortable position and thinking they possibly didn't leave a tip by chance gave him the rest of their change from lunch. When they got home they checked their purses and pockets and couldn't find the money they left for a tip so they definitely left one. How terrible of a person must you be to have the audacity to rob senior citizens at lunch. read more

This place used to be so good. Today it was not. A friend and I went for lunch and first off the place was freezing like a walk in freezer. Secondly the waitress acted like she couldn't care if we came in or not and third the whole atmosphere has changed. We used to love coming here but now instead of the cute baskets the food is put it, it is just put on a plate like it didn't matter. The french fries were not the way they used to be. We were there for almost 2 hours and it was a Wednesday evening they weren't even busy. Ugh, talk about a wretched dining experience. If you can't ace service on a slow Thursday evening then theres a problem. Here's how it went...my daughter asked if we could have a "girls night" and go out to eat while my youngest was away on an overnight trip with school. I agreed and originally she wanted to go to Infinito's but changed her mind at the last minute and asked to go to Friendlys instead. We *never* eat there and now I remember why. We wwre greeted kindly and it was all downhill after that. The first words out of my mouth when our waiter left after taking our drink order were "Whoa, what is he on?!?" Our entrees both came with fries that were still uncooked when served to us. My burger was subpar, nothing special. Upon leaving, no one ever took the check. I grabbed it thinking maybe you just pay on the way out. Another nice kid took us back into the dining room to clear the tab and apologized for our waiter stating, "Dont mind him. He has a heroin addiction" and was obviously using while on the clock. By this point my $35 tab was paid but the young manager comped us meal coupons which I dont ever intend to use. I could've paid $10 at McDonalds for a better meal and better service. The fact that you have active, using addicts serving people good is beyond disgusting, let alone the influence he may have on your other young staff members. read more

The dining room was awkward to sit in, the plates came out dirty, the floor had trash scattered everywhere, and the fish sandwich I ordered came out soaked in greasy grossness.
