Very disappointing...The service is pretty bad, we waited a good 10 minutes jus to be greeted at the door and to be seated. Then after ordering our food it took a good 20 minutes just to get out appetizers. We had to ask two separate servers to get a drink refill an still had to wait. Once we were done eating our server gives us the dessert selection and forgot about us for another 15 to 20 minutes......anyways we didn't get the ice cream and now we have been waiting 25 minutes for our cc and bill. Needless to say I will not be coming back. Btw. The parking lot lighting sucks. read more

Went there for a friends Birthday dinner. We had a party of 6. They gave us the slowest server that could not get the orders right. Never came back to check on us. Had to ask 3 different waitress's to get our server. Plates were never cleared, and it took an hour for ice cream. Seriously?! Why would you put the worst server on a bigger party? Trash. First of all, it took way too long for my food to come, but the flies kept me company!!! Asked for no bacon, but of course, got the bacon waitress took her sweet ass time checking up on my table, really unnecessary in my opinion. Asked for a side of bbq sauce. shit was straight out of the freezernot sure why it had a sour taste to it, had to put that shit to the side, so absurd, and disgusting. I asked for separate checks, didn't get that. And had to wait a good 20 minutes till we finally got someone's attention, and it wasn't even our waitress. I used to love this location we never had anything bad to say about it. Even though they recently remodeled the store, it does not make up for the horrible service. It took forever to get our food and it was nasty. I was hoping they would redeem themselves with the ice cream but that was also a disappointment. Horrible experience. The waitress Danielle was really rude. When my table got our ice cream it was half full. I brought it back up to the counter and I was told that that's how it is supposed to be. We just got back from Friendly's. I have never had service this bad in my entire life. The waitress barely stopped by. The food took over 40 minutes to get to the table. The utensils to eat with took another 8 minutes. My 4 year old son couldn't eat his food and it got cold. The worst part after I complained, which I have never done before, the manager didn't even take time to come over. We decided to take the ice cream home. I stood waiting for another 30 minutes. I finally grabbed the female manager and she didn't apologize. She actually turned her back on us. When we got home to eat the ice cream the fudge on the bottom was bad. It was burnt from not being cleaned. They must have kept dumping the new fudge on the old fudge that had been sitting on the warming tray all day. It took all that I could muster not to go back in there after I saw my son eating it. read more

We have been to this location a few times and always gotten average service. HOWEVER, we went there last night and waited 30 mins just to put our name on a list to be seated. That was only because we sought out a waitress to do so. Nobody even acknowledged we were standing there. No hello, or someone will be right with you, sorry it's busy...They just kept walking by. There was about 4 other groups waiting to do the same. We put our name on a list and then waited another 15 mins with no help or estimate of seat time. There were 8-10 open tables this whole time! We ended up leaving and going to the Stonybrook location. Needless to say we will never be going back here again! read more

I have only gone to this location a couple of times, but with the few times that I did it was not too impressive. Some of the staff there is very nice, but the wait for food was very long and it was exhausting just waiting for the check to be given to us. Otherwise, the food was good and of course the ice cream was, too. The environment was pretty clean, too. read more

Went there this past Sunday and place was not busy.. Waited to be seated about 5 minutes and no body came over. Asked girl behind counter if anybody worked here after 2 waitresses walked past us and didn't say anything. She said someone will be with you in a minute, and after another 10 minutes of waiting we left. Seems like they need lessons in customer service. I went to friendly's with my sister, brother -in-law and 2 year old niece. I have never seen such horrible service! All of the adult orders were wrong. The clam chowder was spoiled but the server said that it was fine. We asked for the management three times and no one came. The only good thing was the tomato basil soup. The restaurant was not crowded but it took the waitress 15 minutes to come by, and another 25 minutes to get the order. The fries were like rubber and not hot. The turkey blt was eh, everything lukewarm, missing the temperature variation between the bacon n lettuce that should make this sandwich good. The soup was lukewarm in spots and actually cold on the bottom. The requested rye bread on the sandwich was white bread. Just wanted a quick lunch, very disappointing. Not one thing was right. I loved Friendly's years ago. After the last time, I'm going to a diner for burgers and ice cream. Especially after what I paid. This place is filthy, greasy, and sticky. From the food, to the utensils (could not identify matter stuck to it, lipstick on cup), to the dining area, tables, carpet, bathroom. No excuses for a dirty restaurant. It doesn't matter how Friendly the staff is if the place is a pig pen. read more

One was mint chocolate chip and it didn't even taste like mint nor was it even green! The second one was vanilla and tasted like straight milk! They were disgusting and watery... Love this place!!! The staff is always so Friendly...Food is delicious. We went for my sons birthday and everyone came over and talked to him and sang. The place was decorated for Valentines day too! Love the half price appetizers after 8! Very clean...They also offer a 2 for 20 menu with a very good variety. The ice cream of course is my favorite part. My little guy is allergic to peanuts and the manager made sure she made his ice cream so there was no problem. We cant wait to go back again! read more

Where do I begin? Let's start with that my fondest memories growing up include weekly trips to Friendly's with my grandparents. I'm now a Mom of 2 and decided after some fun nearby to go have a nostalgic lunch with my children, a close friend and her child. Our children are both 2 1/2 years old and love ice cream. When we got there the place was completely dead and we arrived around 12 noon. So we figured the food would be fresh and would be served rather quickly especially since clearly we had two toddlers and a baby with us. That couldn't be further from the truth - we were able to immediately place our lunch order with our waitress who was very pleasant however we were seated in an area with two very dirty tables one of which we were offered. Upon being able to place our orders we were excited that the food would probably come quickly and the waitress even said she would have the children's food come out first. I also need to point out that the general manager or a manager (different much nicer logo'd shirt) was seated two booths in front of us and there were at least eight staff members that we saw working. Well guess what it's took 35 minutes for the food and the adult food came out first. OK fine we can let that go things happen. We had to continuously ask for napkins, our waitress was very rarely seen although she was very nice and clearly was working very hard. At one point I went up to the front to ask for something and the woman at the little podium had such a horrible attitude meanwhile like I said the place was pretty dead. At this point there were a few patrons ordering lunch. It's took forever for anyone to come and check on us closer to the end of the meal and we were getting very antsy because the kids were getting a little rambunctious and the baby started crying the ice cream took another 20 minutes to come out and at that point we were already pretty annoyed wondering what the heck everyone was doing and I myself as a general manager of a larger establishment was very shocked that this manager - if she was not the GM - was just sitting there. Anyway we finally got the ice cream ate the ice cream I went up to pay the bill and the woman just stared at me and I asked her can I pay the bill here and she told me that no I needed to wait for the waitress so I asked if she could grab the waitress for us because the children were getting out of control and the baby that I was holding in my arms right in front of her was screaming. she rolled her eyes and proceeded to walk away. Point being now I know why most of these have gone out of business on the island and it's extremely sad that my children will not grow up with the same fun memories that I did of coming here. read more
