Honestly? Kinda blown away by the Attleboro Friendly's when I visited this week. I haven't been in a few years, and I was pleasantly surprised go to see that both the interior and exterior were gorgeously redone in what I can only call Friendly's Renaissance style. The floors and tables were no longer permanently sticky, and while I had a view of a vacuum cleaner leaning against the wall near my booth, I consider this a major upgrade. Growing up going to Friendly's, I became accustomed to the suuuuuuper long wait time. Every restaurant moves at lightning speed compared to Friendly's. Not anymore!! The food came out so quickly. Perhaps because it was a Wednesday night and there weren't many patrons, but still. It was basically instantaneous (do with that info what you will). I had the fried clam strips with mashed potatoes and corn. It was alright. I wish there was more clam than strip, but I'm dining at Friendly's. I thought the price was really good for a generous portion with two sides. I also got ice cream of course, and I decided on a cup of cookie dough with chocolate sprinkles. There were very few chocolate sprinkles (which cost $0.99) and not that much ice cream. The ice cream itself also wasn't very good. Not very creamy and not many cookie dough pieces. I was disappointed to say the least. Friendly's will always have a special place in my heart, however, and I'm glad this one is still kicking. I was always fond of the hamburger sliders as a kid so maybe those are still great, or perhaps my taste buds have lost their youthful naivety. It's a New England staple and I really hope it doesn't go anywhere! read more

Great attentive service at this location in Attleboro, MA. The building is so adorable, like something out of a fairy tale. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. The food was mediocre..my burger and fries were yummy. Ice cream was where it was at, at Friendly's..so many options, it was hard to choose. My cookie dough friend-z with added chocolate syrup hit the spot for my sweet fix. Quality food and service at a great price. read more

The food is basic and earns about three stars; kids like it, but for me it's ehh. The sundaes are the standout, deserving 4.5 stars. The Hunka Chunka PB Fudge Lava Cake is decadent, topped with ice cream, hot fudge, peanut butter, caramel, sprinkles, whipped cream, and a cherry. The Reese's Peanut Butter Cup adds extra richness. If you love peanut butter and chocolate, it's a must-try. read more

YUM! Impromptu visit to Friendly's. We hadn't been in years! Happy to be supporting my childhood favorite and have it not be a disappointment. The service was great! Before my drink was empty, the waitress came with another. We had the tenders as an appetizer and they offered all the sauces. Recommend the buffalo sauce, just the right amount of spicy. Don't forget how good their ice cream is! Bring your kids! The mac & cheese, chicken tenders and ice cream all delicious! Service is good too and it's clean! I remember other locations being super slow, not here! read more

Friendly's 1995 vs. Friendly's 2023. Total Apples vs. oranges. Totally gone down hill but the ice cream is still great! It's not about the food, it's the environment- aka the facilities. Last year, the bathroom just smelt and I don't mean like let's air if out for a few minutes like constant made me want to vomit! The Friendlys I knew as a kid and a teenager was clean (not squeaky) but taken care of. This place had one table covered in personal belongings and all kinds of reports and such. I watched an employee sit down at said table and have a meal. Now I am not opposed to employees having meals with patrons, it's about one table begin dedicated to being the restaurant office. I also noticed a few holes in the back wall. Made me even question was there a camera in one of the holes? The light fixtures- layers of dust on the inside which patrons can see. This place needs an overhaul. The Honey BBQ patty melt- always delicious in my book (hey I grew up on them!) And I can't tell a lie- the peanut butter topping at Friendly's is the BEST! read more

Friendly's is a classic and it's sad that so many have closed over the years. Luckily this location in Attleboro is pretty close for me. The food is always good and the ice cream is amazing. I'd say it's the best ice cream of any chain places. Even tho we don't come super often Wendy the waitress remembers us everytime. She knows where we like to sit and honestly even most of our order. She is an A++++ waitress!' The only negative about Friendly's would be the same as any similar place. Sadly spots like this have gotten more and more expensive making it harder to come as often as before. read more

Very clean and cute retro decor. The food was fresh and hot and the sundae was perfect, The only issue was the waitress had too many tables. Food came fast but after that it was difficult to get the check and get out. Friendly's should have a cashier or us pay at the table options if they're going to under-staff read more

If they keep up the strange tactics with seating and high prices, they're probably going to have difficulty staying in business. They had 4 servers on and we requested a booth near the window because all the other booths were occupied except for a dirty booth. So they offered us a table and we declined. They outright refused to allow us to sit in a booth near the window. It certainly wasn't due to staffing, just being difficult apparently. The food was the same as usual except the burgers went up 50%. They should act more friendly like their name implies. After we took another booth that was cleaned off in the crowded section they started seating people in the booths by the window! read more

Our server Jenni was very nice and attentive! Food was good and came out in quick manner.

I went into this Friendly's to redeem my birthday Sunday coupon they give you a medium sundae of any kind that you want for free for your birthday he said they show the email so they can take the code number off I also have also had a small peanut butter type Sunday as well the girl was very nice and accommodating said happy birthday to me and didn't mind they were just in there by one sundae and get the other one for free that's exactly the way and way she would've treated any customer in her store read more

I need to go back and read my reviews before going out to eat. Waited 10 minutes for our waitress, who only had one other table who had all their food. Took another 10 minutes for our fribbles to come out, the food came out pretty promptly and was hot. It was a slow night, very quiet inside. While trying to eat, the waitress proceeded to noisily vacuum next to us for at least 3 minutes. She never came and asked how things were, never asked if we wanted dessert, and then brought over the check before we even could ask. While the food was okay the whole experience was not read more

Friendly's has been around New England almost forever. The original owners sold the business several years ago and since then it's gone through several peaks and valleys. Lately it seems to me this company is on the right track offering good meals and ice cream treats in a reasonable amount of time after ordering. It's a great place to take the family for quick meal while busy doing other things or the team of young athletes that just played a tough game. If your visiting our area and have never been or haven't been to a Friendly's in awhile it's about time to check these guy's out again as I don't think you'll be disappointed. Oh, don't forget to "save room for ice cream." read more

Food was ready on time and very tasty. Hope to see their ratings go up. But please bring back the watermelon roll ice cream. I miss it.

Food was delivered perfectly as ordered and ice cream was still frozen. my daughters meal was warm and she enjoyed it greatly. Thank you!

Great food! Fast and fresh, will definitely be back! The service is great and servers are very nice and welcoming!

Amazing food & quick, friendly service! Ordered online and was ready quickly and the food was delicious

The Negative Nellies all need to calm down. Guys, it's Perfectly Fine burgers and Really Good ice cream. Nothing highfalutin. It doesn't need to be. If you're trying to get your hands on a french dip sandwich or salmon or something... why? Don't do that. Burgers, fries, ice cream. That's all you need. We called ahead and asked to place a to-go order and were told that they weren't taking them at the moment, but that they were open until 11. We were just looking for ice cream from the to-go counter, but when we arrived at 10:45, the doors were locked. There were several employees inside on their phones ignoring us and all the doors were locked. We were really disappointed given that we called beforehand and drove 25 minutes and all we wanted was an order that would have taken two minutes. Will not be coming again. read more

Went in last night , we sat down and the waitress took our drink orders and never came back . We sat there about 25 minutes meanwhile people who sat after us had already got their food while we were still waiting to put our order in . Finally approached another waitress and asked if we could just pay for our sodas that we were waiting for 25 minutes already . She apologized and told us we could just go . Thanks read more

I don't know how this restaurant is still open, waited 10 minutes to be seated another 20 -25 minutes for a waitperson to come over and she couldn't even get the order right, My 17 yr old grandson waited for a ultimate grilled cheese which turned out to be a grilled cheese so small I had to ask if it was a toddler meal and we were almost done eating before he even got the measly sandwich. Went for dinner with my family on a Wednesday evening. Wait time ended up being about 25 minutes. One woman was the only person clearing tables, taking names for the waitlist, and working the counter for the to-go orders -- despite there being enough servers to help, they didn't. The food was less than mediocre. The staff wasn't familiar with the "new" menu, so my husband had an item missing from his meal. The ice cream is the only good part of this place. That being said, grab some Friendly's ice cream from Stop and Shop and avoid this restaurant all together. read more

This Friendly's branch must be run by dementors, because as soon as I walked in, all of my joy and youthful spirit was sucked right out of me. It looks empty; completely devoid of all decor and people. I only stopped for a quick place to use the bathroom and check out what they had available for packaged ice cream novelties. My timing was poor because I walked in the same time as another lady and her son there to get a cone. I waited eons just to be rung up, but the employees were very courteous and cheerful when it was my turn. read more

I'd say overall not the worst experience. Staff was pleasant, our server was nice, I believe Amanda? I'm sorry if that's wrong! . My roommate and I were out for a quick bite, we soon realized they lean heavy on the family concept, cafeteria feel very noisy. The menu reflected as much but I honestly just wanted the classic burger and fries. No pickle tho! Nobody has em anymore haha Food was prepared well and tasted good and I thought the bill was very reasonable(for two) Another star if they were to tweak the seating a bit to better accommodate couples and or adults. read more

I was worried about the potential for a long wait but my son and I love the loaded fries. We went at noon and it was pretty packed. We were seated right away. We are now at 1 hour.... no food had to beg for service.... i say management needs to be replaced!

Gave two stars just for the fact our server was great! This is my older son's favorite resturant, I haven't been here in awhile so I decided to take the family here, we were so extremely disappointed. There food use to be so good! M favorite was the clam chowder and grilled cheese. I ordered it only to find out my sandwich was cold so it ruined the cheese melty goodness. And the chowder had this over cooked film on the top, ugh so nasty. It was so way overcooked. My youngest son had the grilled chicken fingers with fruit cup. Out of fruit cups but I was fine that they offered apple slices instead. However the grilled chicken looked gross and the tiny pieces was about the size of my kid's thumb! They were tiny! He took one bite and he refuse to eat them. My eldest had grilled cheese and French fries. He loved the grilled cheese but didn't bother with his fries. I ask why, normally he would finish those first. He says "It tastes fishy". I took a bite and ugh! They were fishy! They must use the same frier and oil with their fried seafood to cook up their fries. Disgusting... Ice cream is on point, no disappointment on that end. Weekend nights are busy, extremely busy so prepare to wait to be seated. I won't be going back ever! read more

Came here to celebrate a birthday in the family, it was a busy Friday night but the wait was only 10 minutes which wasn't bad. We ordered our appetizers and our food and began waiting. Our appetizers came out but no silverware. Our waitress (Megan) came back and explained they currently only had 3 forks and 4 knifes (there are four of us). So other than that the food was okay and the waitress was great. Overall it was a good visit and I would be back but I wouldn't say it's my favorite place to go. read more
