Updated Review: I Had given a 2-star review 7 months ago, and said I was thru w/ this D'Angelos's = I was wrong on BOTH statements; gave them another chance few months back, and have been continuing to go there every few weeks for GREAT GRINDERS....Maybe they had a bad, busy day, but last 5 times I've been to D'Angelos's in Plainville, Ma., it's been very good quality food, staff, and customer service. I sometimes have problems logging into acct., & using coupons or earned savings = each time I did, the staff at store helped me easily to have discounts entered. I'm glad I was wrong & that this location has been doing a great job in all my different orders recently. I will continue to frequent the Plainville, Ma. D'Angelos's. read more

I work close by and frequent this D'Angelo. By far this is the best one I have done business with. The orders are always correct, the food fresh, and service with a smile. On-line coupons make it a reasonable lunch also. The staff here is great! read more

Love D'Angelos but this location is not the greatest the steak is always soggy from not straining pickles or it's squashed I've ordered here 4 times and they always forget something soda brownie they even forgot my sub one night they really need to communicate more with the delivery drivers to get their orders right these few simple tasks would really make a difference and have customers returning. The food is decent (wouldn't eat IN here though) - as they could think about cleaning their tables and the seats. I guess that's OUR job if you choose to eat in. Chains, shouldn't expect anything less, but whomever owns this one should think of doing a cleanup ASAP. It's gross in here. read more

Thanksgiving toasted is always amazing. Plus the girl who works the front desk most days is absolutely the sweetest!

First and foremost: I got FOOD POISONING from eating here. Do not order a chicken bacon ranch, or anything for that matter. The facility and people are dirty and disgusting. Second: the staff is lazy and disrespectful, as this dismissive girl taking orders literally snickered to herself and started counting money at the register when we walked in. There were five people working and we didn't even get our order taken for 5 minutes... lazy. Third: took way too long. 20 minutes for a sandwich at a fast food restaurant?? You're doing your job horribly because you're all lazy, miserable people. The guy who ordered AFTER got his sandwich first. DO NOT EAT HERE. Yes, I took this personally because businesses like this should not exist. I used to eat here all the time when I was younger. Recently moved to Plainville and this is the best D'Angelo's I have ever had. This was never one of my favorite restaurants, but now it is! I get the steak number 9 with extra cheese and is phenomenal every time. We easily do an online pickup order and it's always just finished being made when I get in. Hot,fresh and the service is always super friendly. It's funny, I asked a bunch of locals what places they recommended. Every place they recommended I thought was garbage. But leave it to D'Angelo's being a chain to be my favorite!! read more

Do not order Door Dash from this restaurant. Ordered a meatball sub and they delivered a sandwich with one meatball and minimal sauce. When I drove over there the response was they couldn't refund any money because I ordered through door dash and I "shouldn't do that next time". I understand Door Dash takes a percentage but if they aren't willing to lose that money they shouldn't sign up for the service- incredibly disappointing. read more

Let me start by saying I LOVE D'Angelo's #9. Stopped into this particular Plainville location for a late lunch. I had been thinking about it all day. First thing I noticed was a lot more leaning than cleaning which worried me. Before ordering I wanted to wash my hands, at least, as I was working. I was informed that no, there were no restrooms for the customers. The nearest one was at Dunkin' Donuts.....a quarter mile down the road! Seriously? WTF? So I was heated. A goddamned sub shop with no restrooms. I went down the road, past the Dunks and got a couple Drive Thru burgers. D'Angelo of Plainville can suck it. read more

Clean, politely staffed sandwich shop with perhaps the worst 'steak' this side of Pimlico. Responded to 1/2 price e-coupon come-on and still think I was suckered. Steak was so stringy I had to (excuse me, I'm sorry) pull in out of my own throat to avoid choking. Curious thing is that sister chain PAPA GINO's has location literally just up the street.. maybe a quarter mile, and their steak subs are fantastic. If you want a great steak sub, try Gino's. If you're lost and need directions, then try D'Angelo's. read more

Slowest D'Angelo's I've ever been to. Took 25 minutes from the time we ordered to receive 4 sandwiches. Plus, they made the one toasted sandwich before the 3 cold sandwiches, so the hot one was cold by the time we got our order. Also, the music is blaring. Just ordered the large lobster roll. Paid $22.46 and it was worth maybe $5.00. They have a nerve. A bit of mushed up lobster then a few skimpy pieces of claw meat at one end . Can't image how horrible the small must be. Just goes to show you. Stick with what you know. $20 dollars is a fair amount for a spectacular lobster rolll. Will tell everyone I know. I just ordered a chicken caesar wrap, which WAS one of my favorite things to get at D'angelo. As I was eating it, I found a short black hair in it. It was stuck to one of the pieces of chicken. Disgusting! Never will buy again from this place. Do the employees not wear hair nets?!?! I've read a lot of reviews on here about the lack of cleanliness in this particular D'angelo. Okay, I was really happy to learn the lady who is ALWAYS there and ALWAYS screw up my steak and cheese sub is gone. But I felt like I got food poisoning, diarrhea, the sweats, the whole mess after eating there. Its obvioulsy not a clean place. I ordered a free birthday reward sandwich and paid for my drink and chips. I asked for the steak and cheese to be cooked well done, I mean like burn the damn thing! Everything!! Onions, peppers all of it. I got back to work, started to eat the sandwhich, it was great! meat had the well done texture I was looking for and then about half way through, there was a piece of raw onion inside my sandwich. I thought to myself, how could that be? But later recalled, there was a young kid standing by the cook, just talking and making jokes. Kind of distracting someone from actually wanting to work imo. But i saw him grab a raw onion, he played with it for a while, but I didn't think anything of it. However it ended up inside my sandwich. Thanks kids for the two days of going in and out of the bathroom. I hope you continue to poison people. You will get caught! Result: I will NEVER go back there again as I don't want to put food in my system that makes me ill. One star is that least I can give, however we should definitely have an option of zero stars. read more

I've been an occasional visitor to this D'Angelo's for a few years now. I remember one of the first times I ever ate there, one young women working there was having a meltdown of some sort and making a wild scene. Since then, I've never seen any behavior out of the ordinary. The food is pretty standard for D'Angelo's understandably, but that's not a bad thing. I've never had their lobster options or other pricier menu items, but the regular basic subs are always sufficiently tasty, sizeable, and filling. Compared to Burger King and McDonald's down the street, this is a common sense option for quick food without guilt. read more
