I hate being upcharged $2 for avocado and then receiving literally the most rotten avocado (not even fully peeled) that I've ever seen (pics included) I get that ingredients expire, but at that point just don't put it in my salad. I paid $15 for a salad with no meat that came with rotten avocado, tons of browning lettuce, brown apples (cut to the size of chick peas, there were probably 1-2 actually apple slices in my salad). I'm not writing this after a one off bad experience, this has happened several times. Ambiance is nice and service could obviously use improvement as they don't know how to throw out expired ingredients.

We had an errand to run in Sturbridge and figured we'd include a lunch stop in town. The Yelp app brought us to Soup to Nuts. #1) I love soup and #2) it's located inside the Sturbridge Marketplace, so we figured we'd do some shopping and browsing too. When we approached Soup to Nuts we saw a sign that said they opened at 11:00. The front door had another sign that said they opened at 12:00. Since the door was locked, and it was about 11:30, we figured we'd check out the Sturbridge Flea Market and come back. At 12:02 their front door was unlocked, and the sign announcing the 12:00 opening was gone. As we entered the restaurant, we were "greeted" by four words spoken (or more accurately snarled) in a very gruff and rude manner - "we're not open yet". Tone of voice matters, and I will look you straight in the eye and put my hand on a stack of bibles and tell you his tone was beligerant and angry (to the point of aggressive). It was beyond rude.
