I called Friendly as my first choice, randomly. I called at 4:46 PM, and waited for someone to squeeze me in for a bed bug check. LUCKILY, one guy was gone, but the receptionist returned my call at 5:09 PM. The owner, Juan (JD) showed up just after 6 PM. He was polite, unassuming, and answered allll my questions. I have been using them for a few years and they are very professional and friendly whenever they come into or around the home. I have seen an immediate decrease in pest activity and if I have a one-off issue (likely due to our rainy seasons) they send some out quickly to address it. I wrote an initial review when I first worked with these guys and intended to finish it when I had results. I can't find my original review on Yelp now--which is probably because I don't know how to look--so I'll combine it all here. Short version: these guys are outstanding! I had rats in my house, and they were well established before I realized they were there. My efforts to trap them were pathetically inadequate. JD and Moe went through my house thoroughly, finding and sealing holes that I NEVER would have suspected. They followed up regularly, checking traps and bait, during the day, on evenings, and on weekends. It took a while, but the rats are now gone from my house AND from my yard. Friendly pet services as one of those companies. I researched and saw their online reputation before contracting with them and glad I did. What other ms said about them I experienced myself, Mo is one of the hardest working folks I've ever met. We had just moved into a new home in a new area; about a week after moving in we started to see ants. I didn't know anyone in the area and I didn't know who to consult about a reputable company so I began searching Yelp and reading reviews. I found Friendly Pest Solutions. I reached out via Yelp message and they contacted me back immediately. They answered all of my questions and scheduled a visit very quickly. Elvis came out within the scheduled time frame, kept us informed via phone with his ETA even before arrival so we were ready (so helpful with kids and dogs), and when he arrived he was so professional and personable we were happy to welcome him into our home. The name is accurate, although it could also be Effective Pest Solutions. We had a family of possums under the house, squirrels in the attic and walls and some annoying appearances by some ants and a few palmetto bugs. We know that the insects are everywhere here in Florida, but we're not seeing the ants anymore and I think we found about 3 dying palmetto bugs over the next couple of weeks. That's it for those guys. They set some traps for the critters and closed off the entry points into the walls & attic, and everything seems good now. All the possums were caught and released in the woods, as I had hoped. Dereck was our personal pest control guy, treating our account like we were family. We met a couple of the other guys who work there, including JR, and I spoke with the office several times arranging appointments. I had a millimeter ant infestation. After shopping around a bit, I called Friendly Pest Solutions and set up an appointment. Moe showed up an hour early (a pleasant surprise) and began conducting an inspection. Have a conversation with him and you'll see it for yourself - he's an experienced professional, and courteous to a fault. He pointed out how the ants were getting in (a poor seal around the front door), explained how they behave and spread, and told me how FPS' product works. I signed up for a treatment and he got to work. Moe works fast; it's clear he knows what he's doing and has worked in many different kinds of homes. He clocked all the different places he needed to treat in each room and went methodically from one vulnerability to the next, room by room, until my house was protected. Then he treated my lanai, and lastly the yard. It's been three weeks and I haven't seen a single ant. I signed up for quarterly treatments and am very happy with the price. This place is seriously just the definition of amazing customer service! I originally set up a free consult after having a German roach infestation (which is not so easy to get rid of). I called back and cancelled because I THOUGHT I got a better price with Terminix but they didn't even show up and I found out later that the price they give is just the base price. I called friendly pest solutions back and at this point it was 5 PM, and explained to them what Terminix did to me and how they didn't show up, and the OWNER of friendly pest solutions came to my house at 7 pm for a free consult and once I agreed to his quote, he did the service at 7:30 pm until it was all done which took him two hours because he was that thorough! He was so nice and took his own time to come outside of business hours to start the process of getting rid of these roaches. I seriously have never been impressed with a place with great customer service until I discovered this place, I will tell anyone and everyone about this company and this is THE BEST exterminator in Tampa/Brandon.
