Be warned! I've had this company for awhile. My grass is in worst shape then it was when they started! July 21,2022 I was told by the service tech that I just had dead grass and to water it more. Fact is, it was Take all Root Rot fungus according to the sample of lawn that I brought down to UF/IFAS extension at the botanical garden in Largo on August 18,2022. I contacted the office on same day and they said the service tech Scott L. would come out the following Monday August 22,2022. I waited till noon only to find out from the front office that he was on a bigger project and could not come out that day. Maybe they or he could of had the courtesy of actually calling me to let me know...... The office then said he would definable out the next day, Tuesday August 23,2022. Scott texted me early in the morning and said he definitely would be out that day. Guess what, by 4:45 pm had not received call or text from him or the office. Called the office and left a message. Texted Scott L. same time only for him to text me back that he had to reschedule! Obviously this company doesn't hire qualified and professional employees. It was a very stressful experience for us, especially since I live over an hour away from my parents. My research brought me to McDonald's Pest Control. They are truly top-notch. I found them to be honest, reliable and very customer service oriented. Maria, in the office, that helped me was helpful, compassionate and able to provide very specific information about their services and costs. Many companies are vague and evasive about cost, insisting on giving quotes only for a service fee. So I really appreciated getting some answers before paying for estimates. And our technician, Glen was fantastic. He called me before and after going to their home and took the time to answer my questions. He was so clearly experienced and knowledgeable, I knew I had found the best company for our needs. Outstanding service like this is not easy to find these days. After returning to Florida I purchased a home. Initially, fruit rats in the backyard shed were an issue. After reviewing companies on BBB and Yelp, I chose McDonald's and they took care of it. Next, the fruit rats invaded my roof crawl space and McDonald's took care of it. This month, ants invaded! Again, McDonald's! They were thorough, professional, polite and pleasant. read more

I was a short time customer of a large pest control company with lousy service. I purposely shopped for a local company with a local customer service number. This company is great! The customer service technicians are all very friendly, they are knowledgeable and most importantly there when you need them, even on call backs!!! read more

We would rate "0" stars if allowed. After being customers for several years we failed to get a notification renewal for our 2019 termite contract with McDonald Pest Control.   The company annually mails notifications with a bill to renew contracted services for the next years.   Upon realizing we hadn't received a bill this year to renew the contract we called the company.   We were informed that they had mailed us the renewal twice & when they didn't receive payment they cancelled our contract.   We explained that our USPS service is sometimes unreliable and that we hadn't received either mailing.   We expressed the fact that they had our phone number and e-mail address, and as longtime customers we would have expected their company to contact us before canceling our contract.   The woman who answers the company phone informed us that she would discuss the situation with the office manager us back.   We never heard another word from this company.   It has been a continuing challenge for us each year when attempting to schedule our annual pest inspection.   Even as an annual/repeat customer, we've had to bend over backwards simply to get on their calendar for the required inspection.   We're not sure what this company's issues are but we would not recommend this company to anyone seeking a reliable company whose focus is pleasant and competent customer service. "Customer Service" appears not to be part of their "Code of Conduct/Business Model". read more

I have loved their service for 3.5 years now. Any time we see some bugs they come out quickly and take care of it with no charge (included in our quarterly fee). Recently the owner Mr. McDonald has been out to make sure we receive the best service. He is the "bug guy", and I can't say enough good about him! Call them up and use them! read more
