We have been using TAPS PEST CONTROL for the past year or so, and I can say that we plan to stick with them. We live in an area that is prone to ants and roaches. I would not recommend TAPS. While their pricing seems somewhat competitive, if you find pest and lawn services for less and decide to cancel with TAPS, you'll have to pay a $250 cancelation fee. Shop around and you'll find more complete services with better pricing. read more

Paul was quick to respond to my call and came the same day to walk our property and determine where the rats were getting in. He set traps and blocked several holes where the rodents were gaining access. He and the owner came several times to monitor the traps and check access points. This is a very conscientious and reliable company and they really care about their customers. I called Taps because I recently moved into a new house and saw quite a few German cockroaches. Taps scheduled my appointment right away. Levi came out to treat my house. He was very professional and explained the whole process to me. I was very impressed with how thorough he was treating my kitchen. i am happy to say that after 2 visits, we haven't seen a German cockroach in 5 days. i would definitely recommend Taps to anyone needing pest control. Would give 0 stars if possible. It's been a terrible ongoing experience dealing with Taps, and regret hiring them for wildlife exclusion service for my home. After 5+ weeks of "service", the issue is still ongoing and no resolution is in sight. After I've reached out to inform them the current methods and what is currently being done is not working, and we need to get more aggressive with treatment, they've scaled down their "services" and only send technicians to take pictures and "check traps" only. This is after I was assured several times that additional steps would be taken to get my issue resolved. It is clear they are not capable or are simply unwilling to complete the job and needed services and another/different company is going to be needed to do the job correctly. Management has refused to issue a me refund. Can't trust this company or employees to resolve the wildlife issue. Will never work with them again. Do not hire this company. read more

Had an appointment with Taps between 10:00 and 1:00. I called them at 12:45 as they hadn't called or come yet and was told that their service tech called in sick and they couldn't come that day. They didn't bother calling and let me know. We rescheduled for 2 days later between 2:00 and 3:00. Still no one showed up. I called and they said I wasn't on the schedule. They told me the owner would call to discuss. Never received the call. I am now calling another pest control service. Update: Owner did call a short time later. He said he as well as a few others were sick, which caused this issue. read more

Taps took time to talk to me at length about a cockroach issue on a Sunday evening, in immediate response to a inquiry I placed online. They came out the next morning and Nick, the technician, was super patient in hearing my description of everything. He described all the options and alternatives and then went above and beyond, crawling under our house, checking gutters, and even looking out for other pests. Their affordable monthly plan was ideal for us. They're expanding into St. Pete and are eager to gain your business and go above and beyond. But they are family owned and operated so they still maintain the accessible friendly customer service that I prefer over franchises with more turnaround. read more

Used TAPS Pest when I first moved into my new home. They were friendly, through, and overall very professional. So far since the service we haven't had any issues with bugs in the garage like we were when we first moved in. The price was pretty fair and I was impressed when they even went into my attic. Got a quote online. When the came out said it would be 399.00 instead of the 49.00 quote. Then said they would honor the 49.00 and at least treat the ants i saw but not the 2 roaches. They sprayed outside and garage but not inside even though my kitchen has tons of these "ghost ants". Instead they put 2 any houses on my counter, which is nasty. Then that day and the next 2 i received multiple emails and texts asking if i was going to schedule the 399.00 service which was ridiculous. I sent an email stating i was not going to schedule any further services and did not want any further services from them. Then 3 days later they charge my card again . I called and was told that i received services at the end of month and they are billing for next month. I explained that i wanted 1 time service, the email stating that I didn't want any further services and that they didn't even spray inside for the problem i was having with ants. She said she would have the owner call me back which didn't!! I just wanted the 2nd charge removed, the constant emails and any further services removed!! read more

We hired TAPs for pest prevention. Alex and Craig were the team that came out to seal and repair any areas a bay or rodent could enter. I can't thank them enough for the prompt, knowledgeable service they provided but the yearly warranty and low yearly renewal fee moving forward. We live on a preserve and have had a neighborhood bar problem, and are happy to have peace of mind that all areas that could be a problem have been sealed. My boyfriend signed up to use Taps Pest Control and they have been unresponsive to our calls and requests for the services enrolled in. We found termites and they won't even return our phone call. Alex hasn't responded well for over a year and has spent more time apologizing than killing pests. Comes out in the beginning and gets you to sign up and then never shows up again. We had to miss work on a Monday morning waiting for him just for him to not show and not respond still a week later. This is ridiculous and I would never suggest this company to my worst enemy. I had this company come out for a consult/estimate for a mice issue. He tried to tell my husband that the dead one we found in the garage was a rat because it was gray and the droppings in our pantry (where we caught a live one) was from a mouse. The animals were identical and we already knew they were mice. The price quoted for "wildlife exclusion" which included sealing off all points of entry was $695. When they show up, they do great work. But multiple times they have not shown up to provide service. I get a confirmation email Of when they're coming, and nobody shows up, texts, or calls.
