Ever since I moved to Turlock, I have been on the search for a Chinese restaurant that serves yummy fresh food. I have finally found it! Friendly House is conveniently located in the center of town. We ordered takeout based on recommendations from several friends and after reading the positive Yelp reviews. We selected chicken chow mein, bbq pork fried rice, honey walnut prawns, broccoli beef, and sweet and sour pork. The portions were plentiful and served piping hot! The food was delicious too! It was not salty at all, which is often the case. I also have to say that the young server who delivered our food to our car was so sweet and friendly! Best Chinese food we've had in a very long time. Definitely homemade as stated on their menu. Pot Stickers, egg rolls and cream cheese wontons, so tasty. We ordered combination plates. Huge portions! We had to get take-out. Can't wait until they can open for inside dinning. read more

Because of the COVID-19 regulations and my usual Chinese restaurant closed on Mondays, I tried this place. Called in a takeout order of shrimp chow mein, shrimp fried rice, and sweet and sour prawns. The order was prepared quickly and was very solid. Lots of perfectly cooked shrimp in all dishes and fresh vegetables. Large menu to choose from and they also deliver. Fortune cookies were stale, but overall a place I'd frequent again. Would like to eat in the restaurant once that option is again available. read more

We ordered 4 combo meals chow mein was ok at best. But everything else was horrible! We threw it away, & made a frozen pizza! My daughter thought the orange chicken had bones because some of the chicken couldn't even be chewed. It was kinda like double or triple fried! We discovered this little gem by accident. They've only opened for two weeks. I'm pretty picky when it comes to food but the food at this place was delicious! It wasn't just the one dish that was tasty but every dish that we ordered tasted fresh and delicious! The place was nice and clean and the service was excellent. She was very attentive. One of our favorite Chinese restaurant in Turlock. The food is great and the portions are large. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars was because of their dine in service. Pre COVID the service was very slow. If the food wasn't so good I would never had gone back. Have been once before and didn't think to review it. It wasn't anything memorable enough to even remember what we had. Tried it again tonight and it will likely be the last. The General Tso's chicken seems to be the same sauce as the garlic chicken just with out or less garlic. It's also served in very large pieces of chicken instead of bite sized like every other dish making is difficult to eat with the plastic spoon and fork they give you. Both Tso and Garlic chicken are the over battered, squishy texture style bites. The cream cheese won tons are obviously not cooked to order or even kept warm, they felt old and stale. This place has delicious chow mein! There's a lot of meat in it, which I love. My husband ordered Szechwan beef, and there were entirely too many vegetables, as in the dish was 2/3 veggies, hardly any beef. Same thing when he ordered the Mongolian beef.
