I should have read the reviews about no shows, I received exactly the same service - or really no service after scheduling and rescheduling.

Surprised to see Algae showing up fast even tubes when we got back home last Monday. Last Wednesday the pool and spa were so sparkling and blue. Did they come to do services last Thursday or Friday? We wonder. We left a message. Hope that one of guys will come tomorrow. Thanks. KS read more

When it comes to pool and spa service they have always been there for me. A couple years ago on the 4th my spa was on the fritz and they were kind enough to come out personally and make sure everything was repaired and working. Vanessa, James and the entire staff are so kind. I'd recommend them to anyone! read more

After my mother passed away last year, I took over handling her pool service. The pool was green. I asked to have the filter cartridges changed out for 3 months. The guy who came here used my mother's equipment. He didn't vacuum the pool, only brushed and skimmed. Some weeks he completely missed. I called to ask about the filter and the girl who answered the phone gave me some attitude and said she would try to call me back with an answer. She never called back. My bedridden mother was charged $100 a month for this horrible service. I fired them, purchased the filter cartridges myself and clean the pool myself now. It looks 100% better. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. read more

Scheduled an appointment for a bid on a large pool/hardscape project. The appointment was made several weeks in advance. They never even showed. No calls. Nothing. Glad we dodged this unprofessional bullet! read more

Terrible service and customer service! Always making excuses why no show timely or at all. I was constantly calling and was given excuses after excuses all the time. Well when the first person ended up coming are pool was just dirty from the winds . The water was blue not green or yellow. Then no one showed up as they were per contract once a week. Here we are at nearly end of month finally some one came last Friday just to poor bleach n left. Then he showed up Tuesday to vacum n clean pool it was then green n yellow from their chemicals or lack of. Now the pool is still the same dirty, green and yellow. They may have been in service for years but for inground pools not aboveground pools. read more

My family and I needed to get our pool going for summer. Came here to check prices. The young lady was awesome. She new were just looking, but made sure to find the right filters. They have BETTER PRICED THAN AMAZON! Seriously Amazon was $40 more. Great service and prices. Fortunately, the homeowner replaced our filters, but we're still going to be getting all of our pool supply be from Friendlyhills Pool & Spa read more

I had Great and outstanding customer service from Sophia, she knew her products. Inserviced me how to use Aquanaut 250. She gave me a pool brush, Rake pool net. She went the extra mile to show all vacuums in the store. She told me about bringing a bottle of my pool water, they will test and give me the correct amount of solutions to treat my pool once a week. Outstanding service once again! Returning customer that's for sure! read more

Well they say first impressions are everything! Called and set appointment with James for a day and time. That day came and NO James or even a call! I called and spoke with person in the office and she stated he had a problem at his location and that she would let him know I was still waiting for his arrival. Well no phone call, so I called back and left 2 messages on their business phone and NOT even a call back to return my call. I would NEVER do business with a company that can't even take time to return a phone call! read more

They call themselves Friendly Hills but they never return my calls. The owner Jim is very good but his daughters who run the weekly pool service don't show up every week to clean my pool even though I've paid them for the month in advance since I'm moving. They cashed my check and Ive seen them 1 out of 4 monthly services. Pretty shoddy operation to treat a long time client like that. Don't ever pay them in advance. read more

I have used Friendly Hill Pool for more that 5 years on my apartment community pool. Their prices are very fair and the service is prompt. Not long ago my pool got a full weekend of really heavy use by the residents and of course keeping the water balanced is impossible and you guessed it, the County did their annual inspection on Monday morning. i failed and got a nasty letter from the County. Friendly Hills Pool jumped all over it, corrected the problem and contacted the County inspector directly and cleared up everything so i did not have to make an appearance at a hearing. That is super service, over the top. thank you... read more

Horrible service rude people! One star because it doesn't allow zero stars. After a year of trying to get a Jacuzzi fixed by this guy I am ready to take this guy to court. Worst yet he no longer returns my landlady's calls. Horrible service, a guy came alone and Jim helped his "Tech, fix it" over the phone. He took 6 months to rebuild the motor that then didn't work. Then sold her a motor that didn't work. Then replaced it with a second motor and that one doesn't work either! She is out $900. Pico Rivera BE CAREFUL!!! My landlady needed this for health reasons... I live on the same property. You know the one 5/5 was your tech's last visit. I will keep posting all over the NET until you fix this. read more

In November of 2021 we reached out to Friendly Hills Pool and Spa, after a couple phone calls they finally came out, took measurements, seemed conscientious and told me to expect an estimate within a couple of weeks. Since then I've called, emailed, called, stopped in (literally live about 800 yards from the office), called, called ,called again. Went in again last week, the owner's daughter was there, she's also who came out with her father to measure, said the estimate was on her other computer, and promised I'd have it the next morning. It didn't come, I called again, she said I'd have with it within the hour...if you're reading this you probably realize I still don't have an estimate, and they have not returned two more voicemails. I guess I should have known better from the appearance of their building and the disarray inside. Unprofessional is about the nicest thing I can say about this company...STAY AWAY! Let them go out of business. I'm amazed that they have lasted this long! Good riddance....Looking for a reliable pool company! read more

a great little place to get pool supplies. strange location though, if you try to find this place make sure that you search it on a navigation engine first. because it is right down a small street, behind another store. great deals, and friendly service. read more

Extremely knowledgeable, will go out of thier way to help you, very friendly, great prices and products. I'll never change

the blonde older lady who works here is so rude to everyone and always has an attitude, i'm pretty sure she has anger issues.. and if you ask her questions she then continues to talk to you like your dumb, very condescending, she will talk to very slowly to try to make you feel dumb. read more

Very disappointing experience. Had to have pool corrected after tenant left it a mess. The very nice woman, Candy , would tell me that the tech would call me to let me know what was going on but I never received a call from any tech. I had to call over and over to get any information. They did, eventually, get the pool cleaned up and did some work on the spa but never came back to finalize their repairs. Left covers open, vent tube laying in the mud and didn't communicate with the new tenant. I asked, on numerous occasions for them to provide a proposal for ongoing service of the pool and spa but they never provided anything. Tenant called them twice and never received a return call. Tenant said that technician (pool guy) was surly when he was asked about what his plans were for correcting the pool problem. Very disappointing, considering that they are local and operate in an upscale neighborhood. read more

Yelp clearly says they are open but walked to the door and it was locked. If your going to state your hours are a certain time make sure you keep to that. read more

Went into the store to give my info for someone to give me a quote for repairs. After writing down everything I was told that the owner would call me to schedule... ok. I wait 1 day then 2 then 3.., no calls. I call back and is told - "he's very busy"but was assured he would be here the next day at 11:00. Next day comes- you guessed it. No one shows up. I call again. Was told - " I don't know where he is and will call you back when I find out" still waiting read more

I've been working on pools many years and have always Found them very helpful with all my special order needs. The owner , his Daughters and Candy have never let me down and have always been very pleasant to work with. read more

The person who works in the store is great!!! Unfortunately the owner's daughter is sometimes there and is a nightmare to deal with and is the root of many problems, mix-ups and errors. Make sure to keep track of your charges, common practice for her to add to your balance. read more

I was skeptical about doing business here because of the reviews but I noticed how old they were and this business has an A plus rating with the BBB. I went into the store to find the people working there to be very nice and helpful. The owner and his wife were there and they took a lot of time to explain a resolution for a problem I had which they did without charge and saved me from having to have a repair done. I ended up scheduling one of their pool guys to do regular service on my pool and am very pleased with their work. Mostly people write only negative reviews and rarely take the time to compliment. I was impressed that they didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need and their pricing was very competitive. read more

Wow! Spoke with Candy multiple times she assured me the owner would stop by, waiting and waiting, called to follow-up, can't make it. Left work early to meet them, not reliable is an understatement, so much for my family BBq, thank you. read more

I know nothing about pools and the guy there gave me the run down on what to do. Couldn't have been more helpful.

Everything but friendly. Bid on a project to remove solar water panels and re-install. On the day of the project, attempted to obtain additional funding, stating the project was bigger then they estimated. Note: We live a mile away, they never drove by to verify the project before providing their bid. So, the new roof is completed. Friendly Hills shows up (1 person) to re-install the panels (for a project they claimed was so big). The installer arrives with no ladder, no tools, no parts, no Henry's, and no helper (REALLY). So pay we him for the service of removal only and told the 1 person employee to leave. An hour later the owner comes over and wants to know what the problem is! (REALLY). Then he has the nerve to ask for $60.00 more dollars for parts his installer didn't have to complete to project. Absolutely no pride in their work, the company, or the community they claim to serve.. Would never recommend! read more
