Don't go here!!!! Receptionists are rude over the phone, and extremely clumsy when taking the tests. Because of miscommunication from Vanessa, I ended up having my insurance pay for contacts not glasses which is what I needed. I can buy contacts online for half the price they charge. If I buy glasses from them, I will be paying 370$ out of pocket! That would be one pair of glasses with poly lenses, 2 boxes of contacts, and the exams. That is rediculous especially when the insurance already paid at least 130! DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I picked this place because it was close to my work and they take my insurance. As soon as I walked in the vibe was no good. They barely spoke, when I walked to the front desk the receptionist asked for my insurance card. I told her I didn't have one because my insurance is all done online VSP, and never mind that I gave them my insurance info when I booked my appointment., but she insisted I give her my health insurance card. Every staff member just seemed so stiff not very attentive (no free smiles here). Then I tell the receptionist asks me if I'm wearing contacts, when I said yes she smirked I guess that annoyed her.....uuuuhhh yes I just came from work and you didn't mention I needed to take them out before. So now I'm being ushered around to all these rooms and they tell me they have to order me trials they should be here by Monday, (my appointment was on Thursday) ok that's fair.. Well here we are Friday of the following week I and I had to call them to ask about my contacts....When I call I'm told they have to call me back to research it.....Okay??? Call back later or yea there here. Now I have to go back again to try them on (more time off work) then decide if I like them (same brand I've been wearing for over a year) then probably wait another week before I get my actual contacts. I don't get the 5 start reviews - There wasn't one friendly person in there and they all seem annoyed and irritated with there jobs. read more

Loved the convenience of setting my appointment via text. I liked the safety precautions of having to text when I arrived. I didn't like that I still had to wait inside to be seen. If I have to text when I arrive and I can't just walk in I would prefer to just wait in the comfort and safety of my own car then to have to wait inside. The dr was okay, I had dr huang this time, my first time w him. We did my exam and he told me I would need glasses for driving . (My first time needing glasses) he told me to use them for driving as I see fit. he was going to print up paperwork for me and sent me to the front. While I was in the front I noticed my address was wrong. Considering it is only an annual visit I think personal information should be reviewed at the start of my visit. But thank goodness it was a quick change. While I was picking out my glasses the lady that helped me was great. I wish I would have asked for her name. A lot of the staff seemed to go to her w their questions. She was very helpful w explaining things to me including what was in my paperwork that the dr gave me. Which was a shock to me since he didn't explain that the second paper had a FULL ON explanation of the change in my eyesight. Basically, my great review is because of her. I work with the public and I found it completely rude to be providing paperwork and not explaining it in detail to me as a customer. If I didn't have somewhere to be I would have gone back and made him explain it to me himself. But thankfully the lady in the front assisting me did. I prefer dr Friedman. And will make sure I request him for my next annual visit. read more

I was so impressed with Dr. Friedman; his service was very thorough I was amazed with his prices I thought I was going to have to pay double since this is my first time going to an eye doctor with out vision care. it was the most thorough exam I have ever had I am a total contact lens person, he really went into depth of care of contacts and what brand I should be wearing since I use them on daily basis. I had my Glasses prescription and went to Friedman Optometry in Rancho Cucamonga Ca. to get glasses and sunglasses. The girl was helpful and polite. Picked glasses up 3 weeks later. I asked for a receipt and warranty info from receptionist. Said they don't print out a receipt or warranty. All I need is to call if I have an issue! One pair of glasses were to big. Other helper tightened them. I tried them on again and still needed adjustment. The girl that said they don't print out receipts or warranty told me to wear them a while to see if they would loosen up. Didn't make sense to me. Called from home and insisted they email a receipt of what my insurance policy paid. Also expressed my dissatisfaction of being dismissed when I ask they make glasses tighter. They did follow up and emailed me a receipt. Now I have to go back for adjustment of glasses. No apology was offered. I love the glasses but front office staff needs to learn customer service skills. read more

This was my first visit as a VA overflow patient referral. I appreciate that this office takes in VA patients, because not all will do that. The Doctor and staff were warm and caring, putting me at ease. Everyone patiently answered all of my many questions. The office is clean and in good condition. Great service, great prices! I couldn't be happier with this place. My appointment was at 10am and they took me in right away, completed the exam and the optometrist explained to me his findings and recommendations and also provided a copy of my prescription. All staff were extremely friendly, helpful and kind. The prices are great and a decent selection is provided, they are also willing to order any glasses you may desire in case they don't carry a particular brand or style. Staff also clearly explained my insurance benefits and were very clear what was covered and what additional pay I might have to pay out of pocket. I really dislike this place. The doctor was pretty good...No problems there. But his staff are just the worst! There are a few young girls working the front reception who are unfriendly and irritable. The lady who fits you with contact lenses is just a pain...She made me feel anxious every time I went in...She's just draining. Sassy and impatient. I couldn't deal with her one more time without losing my temper so I quit this optometrist and went to a great place in Rancho (Dr. Yu. So much better!). Too bad for this doctor...His office would be so much better if he had more competent staff or trained them on how to provide better service.
