Hosted my daughter's bridal shower at Frieda last night. The whole evening exceeded my expectations in every way. Dana, the event coordinator was a pleasure to work with and was so friendly and accommodating. The rest of the staff under her guidance was great, efficient and very professional. The vibe was absolutely perfect to fulfill my daughter's vision of what a bridal shower should be. We booked the place based on the space and cool art installations, but were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the presentation. Everything I've ever had at Frieda is fantastic including the coffee, tea, pastries, and chocolates.I really need to try lunch here someday because the menu looks delicious. It provides a warm and welcoming refugee to meet with friends, grab a quick coffee or spend some time reading. They are constantly providing various events for the neighborhood. I'm hopeful that Frieda will be part of this neighborhood for a long time. read more

We travel pretty extensively (when not in the middle of a global pandemic) and this is probably one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. The classic French toast is heavenly, the bread basket is so good (best chocolate croissant I've had outside of Paris). The cappuccino was phenomenal too. I got the Continental Breakfast which was a lot more underwhelming than what I had expected. Rather than breakfast, they should have called it a snack as the individual components seemed more fitting for a small bite. The redeeming quality though is the interior feel. Great for breakfast/brunch. The mushroom toast is something you must eat before you die! It's that good and they were able to make it with gluten free toast on the fly. Wow. Others had the avocado toast with salmon and it was phenomenal. Even the oatmeal and yogurt was excellent. Great service even when very busy on a Sunday morning. Cute spot and good food, but terrible service. I first came here with my mom and the staff was friendly and good service. I then took my (Hispanic) boyfriend here, and received rude comments from the waitstaff. We were both asked to use hand sanitizer when we walked in- although no other couple that entered after us were asked to do the same. Our waitress was rude and rushed our order. An unfortunate experience for all parties involved. I would not recommend coming here if you are younger than 40/ and or a member of a minority group as they are not welcoming to these groups. read more

This one is a keeper. Been here multiple times for breakfast and lunch. The service is excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff. Now the food. It has a French flair to it combining healthy with traditional. The bakery is to die for. Brings me back to my visits to Paris. Want to smoke a tiny cigarette wearing my French beret. The food here wasn't bad.. however for a place that brands themselves as a space that accommodates different generations, it doesn't have a bathroom that's equipped with a changing table. And they wouldn't let us change him right outside the bathroom where there were tables either. The waiter who served us was lovely, but we definitely wouldn't come back here. read more

I had never been to Frieda until my next door neighbor raved about their take out dinners during this stay at home order. I am so glad that she did. This is a beautiful cafe with great outside seating. The staff was very nice though service was slow for picking up just a couple of pastries. The chocolate croissant was solid, good quality chocolate but not the flakey crunch that I was hoping for. The morning bun was a delicious surprise. Flakey and great flavor. Would also recommend the scones. If you are near Frieda I would recommend the stop but not if you are in a rush. read more
