The store itself scratches quite a few itches, having a full bar and a robust selection of alcohol, especially whisky, on top of their sandwich and deli offerings. I got the roast beef and cheddar with horseradish sauce. The bread was fresh and crisp and the sandwich was generously supplied with meat. The sauce was just the right amount of bite for the meal. I can say the same level of positive review for the grilled cheese and tomato soup combo. Ambiance style: Lots of old beer taps and hand drawn signs and a quaint, cozy little dining area.

I was in the South Lake Tahoe area and walking around with my husband and our friend on a Saturday morning. When our friend looked up different places in the area to see what might be worth checking out, he mentioned that there was a smoked meats place. Immediately I was down to check it out. As we walked in, we were greeted by the employee behind the counter and a variety of jerky options in the case and along the walls. I tried a handful of samples before it dawned on me that the flavors and products seemed so familiar. I was completely oblivious that there were photos and references to their original location in Bishop (which I visited previously and really liked). I got a 1/4 lb of the sweet and spicy brisket to snack on and it made an excellent driving snack.

I think I just found them some more loyal customers. Thanks for many years of excellent jerky and many more years to come.

I tasted his soup thinking it was not going to be my favorite but, it was delicious and tasted just like a stuffed pepper in soup form. I really can't say anything bad about the salad, it was a very good Cobb. The only comment I would make is it had most of the elements of a Cobb but they didn't offer blue cheese dressing which is a must for me. Also, it was very light on the blue cheese which is a main component for this salad.

We did, and for now, No. Our usual factors are selection, price, flow through the store (including shopping the perimeter) and check-out service. For the couple times we've been here, it's just OK and for now, not worth the drive. We all have our shopping quirks and right now our choice is the Carson Raley's.

Located in historic Genoa (Nevada's very first settlement), this beautifully restored 1855 Gothic Revival landmark has that wonderful old-time feel that makes the experience special from the moment you walk in. The food is fantastic, with a delicious Southern twist that reminds me of New Orleans--big, bold flavors that make every bite memorable. We also loved the wood-fired pizzas, which are a must-try. And the craft cocktails? Absolutely yummy. To top it all off, they feature live acoustic music that adds such a fun, lively vibe to the whole experience. The service was great, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Perfect for a family visit or a night out with friends. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommend.

I think it's safe to say they use frozen corn which is a shame because fresh corn is still very much in season. I had their corn as an accompaniment to one of my past dishes and the texture is the same. Completely over cooked, soggy, mushy corn on the cob with absolutely no flavor. And get this, it costs $18 or $19! It's literally one corn on the cob that they portion into 4 or 6 pieces. Fish Special - It was rock fish with a red pepper sauce, eggplant stacked with feta and herbed roasted potatoes. The fish was over cooked and really salty. Eggplant was dry and difficult to eat. I didn't even bother with it. Potatoes, no big deal. Margherita Pizza - Good flavor, just not a fan of their crust Tchoupitoulas- We've gotten this in the past and this seems to be consistent with flavor and execution. My husband said it was as good as the first time. Kid's Mac n Cheese - At $19 I expected a large portion. It's not. But it was the best dish we ordered. It's more of a macaroni with Alfredo sauce rather than a cheddar mac n cheese. My son enjoyed it as did everyone else at the table.
