Great butcher ,knowledgeable and willing to accommodate. We found picanha ! if you need a special cut of meat this is the place to go in North Lake Tahoe area, they also carry Mary's chickens and other speciality items. ask them what you need , they have more than what is on display or you can call ahead for a special orders we've done that before too.

Two donner and one potsticker (I believe that's the names)

Sweet az. The sausage is/was bomb. Reasonable pricing. The young man behind the counter recognized prior military as well. Go and load up on sausage and other items from this shop!!! I only had the links of that is a representation of the other cuts, I highly recommend.

A plate full of their house-made sausages

I was blown away when I found this treasure of a butcher shop in Truckee. From there house-made sausages and animal Ranch beef to their freezer full of game meats, Demi-glacé, Strauss Ice Cream and other delectables, I was literally the man-child an the proverbial candy/meat shop!! They even have a nice selection of fresh fruits and veggies to accompany your protein selection. I tried each of their sausages. Yep! I took home all of them, including their breakfast sausage!!! My favorite was the potsticker sausage. It tasted just as the name implied. Surprisingly, my least favorite was the habanero honey. However, it was still a very good sausage. I like heat but, it was a little too hot for me. (But it's was, after all, HABENERO. So who's fault is that?) lol the biggest and best surprise was the Carolina pork sausage. What an awesome idea! It was well executed! The crew is friendly and professional. Support this store!! Don't let a treasure like this go away... heck, I even bought myself a nice t-shirt. *Covid-19 safety measures taken seriously at this establishment *

    Pork and pasilla pot pie

The pork and pasilla pot pie is the best pot pie ever eaten by far! Cute little market and decent selection of fresh meat as well.

    Tri Tip! $13.99 per lb.

They provided good help with ordering and all our needs. Food Review: HAUS FOCACCIA -- ($10) 3 pieces, made in haus fresh every day was a little more brittle than we liked but solid flavors and texture. High quality olive oil and vinegar in a cool container. 9/10 HEARTH ROASTED BEETS ($19) burrata, pistachio, blood orange, raspberry vinaigrette, mint was a beautifully plated salad. Nice fresh balanced beets, cheese and fruit. 9/10 ORA KING SALMON ($52) lemon dill beurre blanc, quinoa roasted vegetable medley was a huge portion of beautiful salmon. It was cooked perfectly and accompanied with a nice quinoa bed. 10/10 PAN SEARED SCALLOPS ($48) orange marmalade, roasted mushrooms, arugula, pistachio crumble had 3 large scallops cooked perfectly with a nice fruity and nutty accent.
