On this visit, we ordered the Moscow Mules, and they were absolutely delicious and definitely packed a punch! They were worth every penny. The food is excellent too, making it a great place for lunch or simply drinks and appetizers. If you enjoy soaking up the sunshine, the outdoor deck is the perfect spot. Our favorite seats are at the corner of the outdoor bar, where you get a fantastic view of the river and can watch all the activity on the water while sipping your cocktails.

I can hope that maybe it was one of those days. But the encounters just didn't leave a good impression. The outside deck was nice, though crowded, and I had my table moved around by the staff a few times to accomodate more customers, which meant playing musical chairs for us to stay out of the sun. The place is also very easy to walk up to. Since it's Truckee, just find parking where you can and just enjoy a stroll. As for the food, it was pretty good. One of my companion liked her turkey burger. The veggie kabob sides were decent, if rather unseasoned. And another friend and I split a BBQ sampler platter. The pulled pork was amazing, the tri tip was decent, if a little dry, and the chicken was definitely quite good and tasty. And the sides it came with, onion rings and slaw, were alright, too. My main complaint is the serving size, as for two people I felt it was kind of small for the price we paid, even considering this is Truckee and we pay higher prices here all around. But when your side of onion rings consists of exsctly FOUR small onion rings...... All told, it was an OK spot. What nitpicks I have aren't the most glaring, but my experience sort of makes me disinclined to swing by again when there are other options around.

Everything I've had from here is absolute perfection. It's my favorite place in Truckee/Tahoe. Right now a definite hidden find. But not for long. Love that this kitchen is seed oil free. When we arrived for lunch between 1:30 and 2:00 PM on a Saturday, we wanted to get in pine but the restaurant employee in the end of the line told us that those are the past people ordering and the kitchen will close now. According to their posted hours, they officially open until 3:00 PM, so I really did not expect the kitchen to be closed that early on a busy weekend afternoon at a ski resort. It was extremely frustrating and honestly disappointing -- especially after planning for it and being excited to try the food. We didn't even get the chance to order anything. Maybe the food is great, but if the kitchen closes this early on a Saturday, that should be communicated more clearly. As it was, it completely missed expectations.

Immediately when we walked up the cashier, which was a young lady, at the front was not welcoming and didn't greet us, she was very dismissive, making us sound dumb for paying with cash because they didn't have enough change in their drawer. I had a party of 6 placing orders, and 4 of us were able to get our orders taken but the last 2 in our group, also under the age of 14, were denied service because they were closing for lunch, which seemed extremely unprofessional because the cashier upfront also knew that we came in as a group because there were no other people taking orders, but us. We were confused and frustrated because they have a sliding door so there was no signage that they were closing at 3 until they slid the door to close the shop. If we knew, we wouldn't have placed orders. They close at 3 and reopen at 4 for their lunch, but I just wish the cashier would've at least gave us a notice because we didn't have the time to wait another hour to just place an order for the rest of our party. I went in asking for a refund so we can get food elsewhere that will cater to our whole party of 6 because it felt wrong to just eat in front of the other 2 people in our group. I was denied a refund by the cashier because they already "started making our order" is what she said. I still requested to have a refund made and she rolled her eyes and went to the back to grab her manager, and to compensate the manager said they would add an extra $1 sauce, or a $3 drink.. Our order itself was $48 and the others, $54 so that just didn't seem to fix the problem that we had. Since we were denied a refund, we just agreed on them adding a bit more things into our order. They added an extra side of mozzarella sticks which we didn't order, which kind of compensated... We ended up just sharing each other's order with the other two that didn't get an order placed.. we were still hungry after that and had to get food still elsewhere. The manager also tried to clear up the problem by just laughing it off and said something along the lines of "we good amigo?" (we had a spanish speaking person in our group) once they walked to the back room for lunch. It also rubbed us the wrong way because it was very dismissive and made it seem like our problem wasn't a big deal. So overall, the food was good.. the service was just horrible. I understand the need to take a lunch break because they deserve one, but it was just the bad service, bad compensation, and the cashier at the front not giving us a notice, and overall being rude.

Went in for a pick up order and got the chicken burrito and a pulled pork "Buckwich". The quality of the meat is perfect. The texture, flavor, all of it. The supporting casts were excellent as well. The habañero mango made a perfect compliment to the pulled pork and the burrito had ample amounts of beans and cheese (you'd be surprised how often that is not the case). Didn't get the Mac n cheese this time, but I hear it's awesome...next time. To top it all off, Marty and Owen were a pleasure to interact with. All in all, again, a great grab and go (or casual dine in) addition to Tahoe City. I'll definitely be returning on a frequent basis.
