My usual favorite is the Old Fashioned Beef Hot Dogs, they have that satisfying snap and flavor you just don't get anywhere else. Flocchini is a third-generation family business that handcrafts small-batch sausages using whole muscle meats and simple, high-quality ingredients. The store is tucked behind the Cal-Ranch area, but absolutely worth the stop. Friendly staff, fair prices, and unbeatable flavor.

As well as a bakery in the back. I'm not sure if they do birthday cakes or not but I think they might. The place is clean and colorful. There's plenty of parking. However, during lunchtime, it does get pretty busy so normally when we meet there, we meet after the lunch hour. Hacienda market and Grill is well known in the Carson City area. Here is what we noticed: - It's a pretty unassuming place...we parked in the side lot and walked around to their main entrance. They even had some specials highlighted as we entered. - Inside there is lots of seating...when we arrived the front of the place was empty, but people were sitting there when we left and we noticed that it is much quieter in that section of the restaurant than in the main dining room. - As others have noted, chorizo is their specialty and it's in many of the dishes. And, it is worth it!...and, not spicy like you might think of chorizo. My wife and I ordered the Quesadilla and the Basque Omelette, and we split both (plus, we took some home too). Each dish was really good in its own right, and being able to have the chorizo prepared two ways was great. Their home fries were really tasty too. - Service was good....very attentive, especially considering that it took us a while to decide what to order given the breadth of the menu. - We paid cash because of their sign indicating that that was preferred. Bottom line: We'd go back to Villa Basque Cafe anytime we're in Carson City...next time, we'd like to try some of their lunch options!

The lamb meat came from the leg or brisket area, it was fantastic. I thiI like this more than just ordering roast lamb. This will definitely be the go to order instead of ordering roast lamb, but I do need to order it to compare at another date.

Store was fully stocked, and staffed with many helpful people. I was looking for something slightly special (gum agar) and thought Sprouts might have it. I was strolling the store and several workers asked if I needed help. I said I was looking for something, if I couldn't find it I'd come ask...and eventually that's what I did. The woman who helped me was efficient and interested in what I was looking for...and she found it! I'm so glad I didn't have to go to additional stores OR resort to Amazon. The woman at checkout was cherry and engaging...I detest self checkout because having nice little encounters is what makes the difference in the day. So don't forget Sprouts is now in CC. Wide variety of items, nice "do-able" size store. Everything from food ready to eat all the way to esoteric ingredients! (I needed the agar to make balsamic pearls!)
