We in the area and found this place on Yelp. It did not disappoint. Excellent food and service.

Delicious Carrot cake. No nuts in it! 6.7.25

6.7.25 OMG, what a great place! The decor, service, food and the ambiance were fantastic. I really enjoyed myself here. The salmon and asparagus were cooked to perfection. My husband had the pozole. He said it was the best he has ever had. (Oh yeah!) And you know I ordered dessert. The carrot cake does not have nuts so that's a huge win! The cake size was more than enough to share and delicious! I saved half for the next day to have with my morning coffee. Oh YUM! What a wonderful little find!! I have already told my friends about Frida's. This is a must try!!!!

What are you even waiting for? This is arguably the best brunch in BCS. Customer service was excellent, food was amazing and those mimosas... divine. The coffee was one of the best I've had!

Went for late brunch on a Sunday. Best time to go as the lunch crowd had mostly cleared out. Service was prompt and mostly attentive. Complimentary homemade chips and salsas (plus a welcome queso) were delicious. Cocktails were uniquely amazing! Appetizer of Elote was nicely done on strips of cob drizzled with Mexican cheese. Food arrived warm and was inviting - Veggie, and Carne Asada tacos snd Chicken Mole. Very flavorful and a welcome departure from the usual Tex-Mex. The meal was not cheap - $120 for three including taxes and a hefty tip. However the experience and the food were entirely worth it! We plan to return.

WOW!!! I'll start by saying, ........ I rolled out of that restaurant, fat and happy . I've got to give a shout out to the best waiter ever..... Diego. He was the bomb. Two margaritas.... Yum! The hubby ordered flautas and I ordered the Carne Asada tacos . Everything was fantastic. We pigged out! Frida's is a MUST!!!!!!

I saw this restaurant be recommended on the Facebook page for TAMU Parents and we decided to give it a try when we came to drop off my son and it did not disappoint. The decor is absolutely fantastic (I love Frida) and the food was all great. We started with the street corn and it was one of the best I've had. We also tried the Birria tacos & the flautas. My mom had the menudo & we loved it all. The flautas was a lot for one person. We ended with the Cielo dessert, which are crunchy buñuelos with a cotton candy cloud. It was really good!

Beef and chicken fajitas

It should be more of a 4.5 stars, but I feel it is justified to go with 5 as 4.5 is not an option. We stopped by for a dinner. Let me start with the warning - beware of homemade tortilla chips! They are highly addictive. Chips were served with 3 dipping sauces, and one of them, refried beens, was beyond addictive - we went through two servings of that sauce and two servings of chips without even noticing. We shared roasted cauliflower as an appetizer, and it was superb - tasty and generous. I took mixed beef and chicken fajitas as my main dish. It was very good taste-wise, but this is where I would like to remove half a point as I prefer meat and vegetables to be sliced thinner. Excellent service - prompt, friendly, attentive. Recommended.

My husband, daughter and I got tacos, fajitas, and the Viva La Frida Margarita! Wow. Everything was 12/10! All our food and drinks were so fresh and memorable. Definitely recommend this spot!

Me and my family visited college station over the weekend and we had the best experience at Frida's not once but twice! Everything was so tasty from the barbacoa to the carnitas, the sopes, and the enchiladas. I loved their frozen margaritas. Not too sugary or too alcohol forward. Service was terrific. The manager made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us frequently. Can't wait to come back & try this restaurant again! I loved that their menu was labeled gluten free and some of the dessert options were gluten free as well.

Don't let the strip mall exterior fool you. What lies inside is a hopping little Mexican cantina with a great vibe, wonderful service and delicious food. The margaritas are off the chain, especially the mango. And on July 4th, they were only $4!!

Carne Asada Tacos

I love the carne asada tacos I got and the chips here is thicker than other places. the ambiance was great! The service was okay but totally recommend to try it out!

Great overall food and experience! We were seated immediately and received a water and complimentary chips and dips. I loved the chips and dips. The chips were fresh and the dips were equally flavorful. The seating was very comfortable as we were seated at the table that has couch seating. If you want the couch, arrive early as there is only one couch. The other side and table has chairs. They are also comfortable because they are sturdy and have a wide seat. The food was delicious and looked exactly like they were advertised. The service was amazing as well. We had the server, Wendy, and she was attentive and helpful while ordering. Bonus Points: I appreciate it when my server refills my drinks before I even have to ask. It shows me that they are watching all of their tables to ensure everyone has a great experience from beginning to end.

Foodie alert! Frida's is a charming place with a fascinating modern Mexican menu. Creative cocktails (try a spiked aguafresca), interesting sharable apps like the amazing Tuétano roasted bone marrow served with searing chipotle mayo or try the grilled cauliflower or aquachile. Good menu for everyone; meat eaters, vegetarian, brunch or dinner, or just cocktails. This is a place that would succeed in Austin or Houston or the San Antonio Riverwalk and we're lucky to have it in Aggieland. Friendly service from helpful servers. They start you off with excellent chips and two salsas (red and green) and tasty black bean dip. Great start to the meal. Be sure to order the mild but sophisticated Chile en Nogada with its rich walnut sauce and traditional picadillo filling stuffed into a big chile. The fideo (La Sopa de Mamá ) is the ultimate comfort food and the enchiladas Mexicanos are fantastic. The mole is very very rich and complex. I liked it but I couldn't eat an entire dish of it because it's so rich. The dense velvety uber-vanilla flan is enough for 3 or 4 people to share after a filling meal for a perfect ending. This is a great restaurant and I'm so happy they opened up in BCS. Highly recommended.

Forewarning, if you are someone who doesn't like cigar smoke, this won't be the spot for you. There are some nice lounge type seating in the back to relax with a cocktail while smoking your cigar of choice. While I'm not one to partake in cigars all that often, I can appreciate them on a special occasion. I can't speak to that experience here as I came strictly for cocktails and to enjoy the outdoor patio as the weather was fantastic. I'll also say that with how busy it was, it was a bit loud inside, but nothing out of the ordinary of a busy crowd. Let's jump in. Service - 5* Immediately upon entering and approaching the bar, I was greeted with a friendly acknowledgement and asked what I was looking for. I had an idea but was curious to see their menu. After placing an order, the drinks came out quite quick as they have a good balance of bartenders, I believe three were behind the counter so running drinks to tables and getting them seemed to flow well. Overall, the bartenders are attentive and the wait time for a drink isn't terrible at all. Cocktails - 4* The cocktails themselves are very typical classics. Their spirit selection is robust and definitely worth a look if you're seeking a clean, straight spirit to sip. All solid choices and there's a range for what taste profile you're wanting to have. As for execution and delivery, I didn't find the cocktails to be amazing by any means, but for the pricing, we were quite happy. Pricing - 5* I think with where prices have trended this place is keeping it consumer friendly and delivering. Overall - 4.5* I'd come back, I found the cocktails selection, spirit options, ambiance and patio seating options, and service to all land. If you're ever in the downtown Bryan area, I highly recommend stopping by here!

But more importantly they serve excellent cocktails! They have over 100 different cocktails and from what I could judge from the couple that I had, they must all be excellent. I started out with a caipirinha which just how I like it - not too sweet. My next drink was a pisco sour. It too was excellent and both were super-refreshing! But the kicker for me was that they have cigar smoking section. Since it's not a cigar lounge, they have a tiny cabinet humidor, but their policy is that as long as you drink you can smoke your own cigars. I came prepared with my own cigars and that made the experience that much more enjoyable. Next time I'm in town, this will definitely be a stop! Finally, they have a sister lounge that is a speakeasy that doesn't even have a name. We went to the speakeasy after dinner and the drinks there were also excellent. If you go to West End, ask them about the speakeasy!
