Sara gave a very poor customer service while getting my son fitted for his 8th grade graduation tux fitting. The white sleeves and cuff of his dress shirt hung out 5 inches of the tux jacket. The jacket was clearly too small and cinched in the shoulder blades. My son is 5'10" and 130lbs so he clearly needed a bigger size. Sara rebuttal to me directly was, "It's a good thing you're not paying for it". Because she was eaves dropping my conversation that I didn't want to put my card down for my ex husbands bill towards his party-wedding tux! Absolute worst service I've ever seen. Employees look tired and act like they do not want to be there was told away it was half an hour waited for over an hour and wasn't helped. There were no other people in the store. There were five employees standing around but we had to wait, the only reason why they're in business is because of prom and kids need to rent suits or text. I had used Friar Tux for another friend's wedding and had such a pleasant experience with them that I wanted to use them for my wedding. I had heard horror stories of Men's Wearhouse not letting them measure before they paid and even after paying, they don't try on their suit/allow time for readjustments if need be and it was completely wrong! Enter Friar Tux, from needing measurements and finding a suit that best fit the needs of the wedding along with a staff that is very knowledgeable and friendly, it is everything you could have asked for. I was told that I could receive swatches from my suit, but was told to call Corporate about it and they immediately sent out two that I needed for my groomswoman and it was so easy. My suit fit me PERFECTLY when I got it and I was so happy about it and could not wait! There is nobody else I would trust with my measurements and with making me look good. Ive been to 4 different friars and typically have a great experience. Brea was central for all our grooms so we came to this location. The staff is friendly when working directly with them but other than that they won't make eye contact. My review was rated lower specifically related to the manager. I've been in 3 times and every time I've been in she's aggressive towards her very competent employees. She speaks over you and not in a polite interjection fashion. The first time I thought it was just a bad day for her but after 3 times I'm pretty surprised. She's rude if she bumps into you (it's a crowded place on the weekends which is understandable) without so much as a sorry or excuse me. read more

This is a Great place to be at. This place saved my wedding. Men's warehouse really let me down and by the grace of God our friends recommended Friar tux. The employee that helped us was Faith. I came into the store on Tuesday and Faith had everything fitted and ready on Wednesday. Faith was very attentive, insightful and helpful with all of my questions and concerns for my tuxedo. Overall the tux was purchased without the shoes for $749. Everything fit, the material was higher quality, and the customer service was efficient and reliable. If upper management is reading this message I would ask that they please compensate Faith handsomely with a pay raise. Her expertise, guidance and support really won me over as a dedicated customer. I came here with my little nephews and my soon to be husband. Im really horrible i forgot who helped them. But they were very easy going and gave us a cool Deal where if we rented 5 tux one was free. The only problem being that my future husband couldn't find a tux for himself due to is height but the others found one to perfectly fit there needs. My future husband is sadly still in search of a tux and had to give his free tux to his best man. But everyone was super helpful and kind to us. Thank you for the great experience. After being sized for my tuxedo, I tried it on 4 days before the event. The jacket had a large stitch on the shoulder where it was previously torn, the vest was too small to button, and the pants were a few inches too long. They told me no problem, they would have it fixed by the wedding. They fixed the pants and gave me the correct vest but gave me a completely different jacket. The original has a black satin lapel and this did not. So I was completely different from the rest of the groomsmen. When I returned it, I stated that I would like a word with the manager because I shouldn't have to pay for the wrong item and the clerk told me they would leave a note and a manager would reach out on Monday. Currently Wednesday and nothing. Didn't really think they would follow through with their promise from the previous encounters but it would have been nice. I would stay away unless you have no choice like I did. read more

Not too sure why Friar Tux garnered itself so many negative reviews but we had a great experience with them for our groom and groomsmen's formal wear. We had groomsmen from all over northern and southern california and that didn't pose to be a problem at all! I had a vision of what I wanted our guys to look like and they were able to put it together, for a good price. They were on point with calling me for any reminders, keeping up with the dates for fittings/pick ups and took care of whatever 11th hour changes I called in (groom's fault!). They didn't have too much of a large variety, at least in the color scheme I wanted, but nonetheless, our guys looked good. Pick up and returns were easy as well. read more

This is a late review, but I visited Friar Tux with my now husband to put together styles for our wedding party. And it was so easy!!! We visited Men's Warehouse in Brea first and were pretty disappointed in the options they carried. It was literally only black and different shades of grey , and hearing "No, we don't do that" or "No, we don't have that." And then we went to Friar Tux, and it was the total opposite! We went in knowing what colors we wanted. A blue suit for the groom and gray suits for the groomsmen. I believe we worked with a gentleman named Cameron (again, this was awhile ago so I'm not 100%), and he was so great to work with. He helped us match the tie colors with my bridesmaids' dresses and provide style advice. I asked if they had the option to buy or rent, and he provided us pricing for both. It ended up making more sense for them to buy, and it included EVERYTHING: suit separates, dress shirt, tie, belt, shoes. From what our groomsmen shared, it was easy for them to go into any Friar Tux to get sized and pick up their orders. I seriously want to thank them for making everything so simple. One less headache to worry about if you go with Friar Tux. read more

This location is great! Especially if you're help by an associate named Nate. Nate helped me get all my information updated for my brothers wedding. My brother's wedding was unfortunately affected by COVID-19 and things had to be shuffled around. My brother said that he had called to update them on the necessary changes, but when I arrived at the store, the information was completely wrong! Nate was extremely helpful in changing the actual date listed as the wedding date and adjusted the pick up days for all of the people who were renting in the wedding party. Not only that, Nate also was very helpful in the fitting process. He asked me questions that the person who fitted me previously didn't ask. He also clued me in to the type of fit of the suit I'll be renting and whether or not it runs big or small. All in all, Nate made my experience here very memorable and I would encourage anyone to to get their suit rentals here. read more
