Absolutely top notch coffee spot. I don't go to coffee shops for the fancy drinks but for quality coffee and espresso brewed by people who know what they are doing and this is just that kind of place. The shop itself has a great variety of seating options as well for hanging out. I'm a sucker for comfortable seating and this place has a few great options. It's a definite plus in my book that they allow dogs as well. Would definitely be a regular spot for me if I lived closer. I found this gem on a whim while driving around one morning. This is probably my new and favorite coffee shop to work from! I love how there is plenty of tables, a nice fireplace in the middle and a good selection of coffee / breakfast items. I do believe there is parking near by, but I prefer to street park, so whenever I come here I manage to find a spot relatively close. The atmosphere is warm and quiet, perfect for relaxing or doing work. I try to come here when I don't have any meetings so I don't interrupt others. The staff has always been friendly and even told me I can bring my own food/beverages in if I plan on working here for long & they have a drop off spot for any takeout you might order while here! read more

Interior is amazing. Just my style. Spacious, modern, cozy. Coffee here runs a bit high and isn't that good. We got oatmilk latte with maple syrup and they didn't foam it well. Paid $6 for a small. But it's worth the price of the atmosphere. Good for small groups and intimate 1:1 conversations. Not too loud, nice background music. Will need to street park to enter. read more

My first visit to fragment copy included crescent green tea which was fantastic. It was fun to come to an active place in the morning and be greeted by local homeowners and their pets. I was looking for a place to get some work done and enjoy some good tea and I found it. It's a large beautiful space with lots of places to sit and lots of outlets. There is a good variety of tea and they even had a good selection of iced tea. They also have Cardigan Donuts! Yes please! Service was great and they have good quality ingredients. This place is cute, but the drinks are always a hit or miss for me. The one coffee drink that I tried there and was obsessed with was a rosemary fig latte (a seasonal drink, I believe). The periwinkle tea latte was an absolute miss for me. I did not understand what the drink was at all, it was not enjoyable to drink. I had it to go, and ended up only taking a few sips before throwing it out. Same with the iced matcha latte, I actually went back to the counter and asked them for something else because I did not enjoy it one bit. It tasted like literal straight up milk that had a slight tint of green to it. They had no problem remaking me something else, which was very kind of them, and I got a cold brew instead which was alright but I have definitely had better. Their hot chocolate is also meh in my opinion, it tastes more like milk than anything to me, but my kids drank it, so it's not too bad I guess? They offer punch cards, after you buy an x amount of drinks, you get one free. I think this is an awesome thing that they do. The location of this place is great, and the actual space itself is what I think is the best feature of this coffee shop. If you are able to find a drink on the menu that is a hit every time, it's definitely worth coming out to this place to work on homework or hang out with friends or even have meetings. read more

Came to FRGMNT to work from home (or cafe today!) for a few hours and really enjoyed my time. There were a lot of places to sit, great coffee, and the inside is super cozy. There's a fireplace and everything!! I think my main beef with this place is that they didnt have many plug available to charge your computer. i was able to snag one but i had to go super early to do so! the coffee here is also really good. overall a great place! read more

FRGMNT coffee is a really great place to work or study indoors. It appears that most of the people sitting inside have the same idea! There's a variety of chair and table set-ups to make comfortable areas for everyone. The lighting isn't too harsh or too dim, and the noise level is just right. There's an open outdoor area as well, with a good amount of seating. This is where I love to catch up with friends when the weather is cooperating! IMO FRGMNT coffee can appear to have a limited drink menu, but the baristas are so great at helping pick out or craft drinks that appeal to everyone. So far I've tried an iced caramel latte (flavorful espresso, not too much ice, and the caramel wasn't too sweet), and an iced black tea with honey. Both were exactly what I wanted in that moment. Additionally, they serve Cardigan Donuts for a sugary pick-me-up. Ok, this cafe is cool. But not like, toooo cool, you know? I love FRGMNT's location in North Loop, off of an outdoor courtyard that's so pretty in the summer. The inside has the tallest of ceilings, lots of light, and lovely modern furniture. I got the Honey + Cinnamon Blendie, which was refreshing, with a some sweet and heat (cayenne pepper). The hot Americano was solid. They have Cardigan Donuts in their case Monday - Saturday, while supplies last. I was able to grab Cardigan's weekly specialty donut, which was a Cookies and Cream Old Fashioned, plus a classic raised bar. Lastly I got some Layo Teraga Ethiopia beans from SeY Coffee. I usually like to buy local beans, but this micro roastery from Brooklyn NYC has a great mission dedicated to quality and sustainability. read more

Great coffee spot. Energetic and spacious. Was my top place to work remotely during the pandemic. They offer a punch card which I racked up a bunch of punches when I attended back in 2021. Came back today to work remotely. Got a pastry (which is excellent) and the staff was well-knowledgeable about the coffee blends. The gentlemen even went as far as to describe the coffee I ordered as "a good daily driver" which actually made me want to come back tomorrow and order the Columbia blend again. After enjoying my coffee and pastry I worked a few hours. I noticed another guest walk up to the counter with an empty coffee cup. The team member refilled his coffee and he carried on. I thought to myself I might do the same a little bit later. When I went up and asked the person helping me said they do not offer refills (which I get and respect) and I explained I saw this other person get a full refill. Which in hindsight may have been one of their friends or a regular (which I still get.) The person helping me said they only do top-offs when you already have coffee in your cup and I was dismissed without any attempt to make this right. Result: While I do understand and still think you the person reading this review should still come to check out this coffee shop. I'm just not sure the team here was able to make this right since they had just given someone a full refill. I saw I was sitting on the half couch tables by the entrance door. My punch card has one free drink and is 4 stars away from a second free drink. My plan was to continue coming until I get two full drinks and then bring my wife here on a morning coffee date sometime. I've decided to move on and find another coffee spot with better hospitality. read more

FRGMT has quickly become one of my favorite coffee spots in Minneapolis. The coffee is amazing and the baristas are friendly. And they've recently started selling Cardigan donuts - score! They rotate bean selections and they also offer a monthly coffee subscription. Always new options. The donuts are great. I personally loved the coffee cake donut. Old fashions are great as well. They have a very large selection, much bigger than I expected. I came in this week at 10:30 expecting them to be cleaned out but there were still plenty of choices. I may not be so lucky on a weekend. There is plenty of seating, although they tend to be busy. Great place to work if you can grab a spot early. Definitely try an oat milk latte or matcha! read more

I was looking for a coffee shop that would allow me to work on a project that allowed me to bring along my dog and I happened to come across this place. It's located in North Loop inside of another building along side other restaurants and bars. There is street parking and lots nearby. I just wish there was a nearby place for pet owners to take their pets to use the restroom. But the coffee shop is large with modern seating and tables everywhere for students and other individuals to work on projects or just meet for coffee with their pets. You do grab your coffee or tea at the counter or any snack and take it to your area and there is refillable water at the water station nearby. It is self clean up so everyone cleans up after themselves after they are finished. Overall it's a great space to work on projects or meet with someone with your furry friend. read more

Aside from the look and hard to spot location, FRGMNT has quality coffee. It's a small menu, but good for a coffee purist. Quality beans made well by experienced baristas; do you really need more? Having a hard time finding it? If you're on Washington you have to turn into a plaza area between two building and look for the FRGMNT small free standing sign. This place is beautiful aesthetically. A very large, open clean feeling with great design details in appliances, furniture and fixtures. Definitely a place you could hang out in for awhile and large enough for you to fe spread out from others. They have a smaller outside patio with tables and chairs as well if the weather is cooperating. I tried their cold brew which was tasty and not too bitter which is a common issue other places. They don't have their cardigan donuts on Sundays, but if you like almond croissants - this is your new favorite spot to get them - it was so so good!! The staff was quick and courteous. I love coming here in the summer since they have such a spacious patio area outdoors. The coffee is quite good with the exception of their lattes, which I find to be too milky (not enough espresso flavor). Their hojicha latte and espresso tonics are my go-to. I was recommended it by a handful of people, one who lives in Denver and hasn't even been before actually, but he worked at a coffee shop there and has a whole notebook of coffee shops to try around the world. This is when I decided I needed to go. FRGMT did not disappoint! The staff was knowledgeable on the beans they carry that I purchased for a gift, and they recommended an amazing latte! I love when coffee shops make their own flavors, and these guys do it up. I had a pistachio white chocolate latte that was just slightly sweetened and nutty. It was so smooth and creamy and not overdone on flavor. I loved it and will be back to try their unique mandarin one next.
