The potatoes were great. They were crispy and not mealy. The salad was good and had romaine lettuce, bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, purple cabbage, radishes, and pita chips in it. Too bad they forgot the dressing that I had asked for on the side. The hummus was nice and smooth and had a good thick texture. The garlic sauce was great with potent garlic flavour. I didn't have any of the pickled vegetables, but my dad enjoyed them. The pitas were standard store bought pitas. They were fresh. Service was friendly and courteous. They have a membership card that you can register for for free. For each dollar you spend you get a point. 100 points gives you $5 off. There are a lot of shawarma places in Orleans. Although what sets this place apart from the others is that they have a lot of keto options. They have keto flatbreads and wraps. They also have lots of keto desserts. They also have other (non-keto) items that many other shawarma joints don't have such as donair egg rolls and samosas. I have to say that this location is actually the best one I've had food from to date! The bread was fresh and they were generous with the fillings. So my brother ordered through UberEats and they were having a buy 1 get 1 free deal on 2 different combos. The New Yorker Combo (Pastrami sandwich, fries and a canned drink) for 11.99 and the Berghies Chika Combo (Curry chicken sandwich, fries and a canned drink) for $11.49. So each combo ended up being just $5.75-$6.00. The free one had to be identical to the one you bought. So we got 6 combos in total 2 New Yorker Combos (he paid $1 extra to upgrade the fries to onion rings) and 4 Berghies Chika Combos. He also got a Cappuccino Tiramisu ($4.99) for my mom. I got to eat half of both types of sandwiches and sample both the fries and the onion rings. It was my first time trying the New Yorker sandwich, the Berghies Chika sandwich, as well as the onion rings. I loved everything. So the New Yorker sandwich was my favourite. It was loaded with pastrami that appeared to be fried up, as it was a bit crispy and not slimy like deli meat sometimes is. It also had Swiss cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and diced onions in it, and Brazil sauce. The bread was fresh (unlike the location on Donald St). It was really good. I liked the Berghies Chika sandwich too, but found it too wet and saucy. It was cubes of real chicken breast mixed in a curry mayo sauce, with cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and diced onions. It was tasty, but messy. The onion rings were so crispy. They are breaded instead of battered. They were excellent. The fries I've had many times before. They are shoestring, which are my favourite. Love the fries! For the dipping sauces for the fries, we got the Miami (which is their newest sauce, it's a bit sweet and I loved it), Algerian (their most famous sauce, they sell it by the bottle), Samurai, and Moroccan. They were all tasty and unique. Apparently the American is just ketchup and mayo, so I never get that one, and the Biggie is like McDonald's Big Mac sauce, which I personally find gross, lol, so needless to say, I never get that one either. I had a bit of the Tiramisu (which is imported from France by the way). It was good, but mostly cream with very little cake. I wasn't a huge fan, especially for the price tag. I've always been a fan of Centrale Bergham, ever since I had it for the first time in Montreal. The Bank Street location in Ottawa is good too, but this location in Orleans is my favourite so far in terms of taste. In days past they were more like those little independent panini shops where different types of panini were pre-made and laid out, then pressed to order. Even though the sandwiches were pre-made they always tasted fresh (they'd be made every morning). And there would be big bowls of pre-made salads, like pasta salad, bean salad, couscous salad, etc. Now things are more made-to-order, which you think would be a good thing, but it just feels more like a Subway Sandwiches now, lol. There's only one Cultures Restaurant in all of Ottawa (this one at Bayshore Shopping Centre) and only 2 in the whole National Capital Region (the other one is on Gatineau). There are lots in Toronto and in Montreal. My first time eating at Cultures was in Toronto with my mom when I was a kid. We ate at food courts a lot, it was good times, lol. I do like Cultures in general, but this location is not as nice as the ones in Toronto and Montreal. I placed the order in my car that was parked at RCGT Park. My order would be ready by the time I got to Seoul Dog. What was a pleasant, perhaps shocking, surprise was heading downtown just past 8 pm and finding out that Seoul Dog has a parking lot. Free parking. What?! I felt like it was either a mistake or I had won a mini jackpot. I pulled into a spot and walked in. I got to the counter and indicated that I had an Uber Eats order. The nice woman handed me a paper bag with my items in it. I thanked her and happily left with my order. I headed back to my hotel room and chowed down. On Uber Eats, the corndog was going for $9. It's kind of pricy considering that Chun Chung offers fancy rice dogs at $7 tops. I will admit that the ones at Seoul Dog are a bit longer, so perhaps that makes paying $9 a dog a bit easier to take. I got my corndogs plain. As much as I dig ramen chip and potato cubes, I wanted something simple. I got both corndogs sprinkled with garlic sugar. I didn't know what it meant. Luckily, there isn't any sugar. It looks more like powdered sugar, but it's all garlic. As a garlic lover, it was the perfect garlicky level of yumminess. The beef hot dog in each one was plump and juicy. I liked that the batter was crispy on the outside, which a mild chewiness that was enjoyable. The cold Diet Coke washed everything down so nicely. It hit the spot. It was wonderful trying out a local Korean corndog joint and having a couple of corndogs for dinner. It made up for the small hot dog that I had at the ballpark. Long before ChungChun Rice Dog infiltrated the Kogo market, lol. They started out on Clarence St and then moved to Lyon St and now are on O'Connor St. I really enjoyed their beef corndog. I got it with the regular dough, but you can get it with spicy jalapeno dough too (for an additional $1). I also got it plain, but you can get it topped with potatoes pieces or ramen chips (again for an additional $1). I got the garlic sugar sprinkle and spicy ketchup and mustard sauces. The beef corndog is regularly $9 but UberEats was having a BOGO deal, although the price is $10 on UberEats so I paid $10 for 2. The beef hotdog was juicy, and the batter was crispy on the outside and had a pleasant slight chewiness on the inside. It wasn't too thick. Admittedly, garlic sugar sounded weird to me as a sprinkle on top, but it oddly works and tastes good. It's super garlicky though, you have been warned. They gave us 1 tiny packet of mustard and a tiny Solo cup of spicy ketchup for both corndogs (see picture). The spicy ketchup was tasty and not too spicy. I dumped the container into the box and dipped the corndog in it because there's no way the corndog would fit into the tiny cup. I also opened the packet of mustard and squirted the contents into the box for dipping. So while I thought it was tasty and reasonable with the BOGO deal, I personally think the regular price is too high for what it is. The regular beef corndog is only $4.99 at ChungChun. Yes, ChungChun is a chain, and I always root for the underdog, but twice the price is too much for me. Seoul Dog does have the option of Jalapeno dough, which ChungChun does not have. Their current location is great because it has free parking, which is very rare for a restaurant downtown. They also have both indoor and outdoor seating and a lot of both. I picked up my UberEats order and the pickup was smooth. I got there early so just hung out outside until the app told me it was ready. I entered as soon as the app alerted me it was ready and they were just packing it up. No complaints with pickup. I'm glad I got to try the OG in Ottawa kogo, lol (still need to try the OG in Montreal kogo at Picks on Saint Marc, which was years before it's time, but I digress). They also sell Korean donuts at Seoul Dog. Not exactly sure what these are, but I'm interested to try them, especially since they have an apple flavoured one.

The Maple Farm Bowl also has curry cauliflower, roasted sweet potato, feta, brown rice, mixed greens, crunchy chickpeas and maple chipotle dressing. I like to order my dressing on the side typically, so that I can control how much I want. The Maple Farm Bowl was pretty delicious and I wouldn't change anything about it except that I feel like the crunchy chickpeas don't really go with the rest of the Bowl. I think if they weren't crunchy then they would, but the crunchy texture just seemed out of place to me when I was eating it. Maybe others would like that though. I've never sat down to eat at Mad Radish, but the ambiance seemed nice enough and clean. The service has been good the times that I have picked up with my order ready to go.
