I ordered a burrito. Like seriously what is this?
Brian S.

Look I knew this place was gonna be bad when it felt exactly like a Chinese takeout place, but this exceeded my expectations in the wrong way. It was horrible. I ordered a burrito and it came out like a pita gyro wrap. The tortilla was thick like that. Like why even have a burrito on the menu if you're not gonna do it correctly? I honestly think my fifth grade lunch lady or a fifth grader could have made a better burrito. And it was like all rice. All crappy rice. How you gonna do me like that? I'm Asian too. I thought we was cool fam. And their guac is not spoiled but it definitely ain't the green avocados naturally are. It's like test tube guac you might get at a 7-11 in like a go-gurt pouch. Whatever it is, it ain't it! I don't know what compelled these people to open this store, with this style of food, when there's SOOOO much competition in the area for it and then like continue to serve this Canton, Ohio mess and not like come correct at some point? But joke's on me cause my dumbass was like, it can't be that bad. Well it was. It was THAT bad.

Although it looks like a regular Chinese takeout restaurant, it serves great food. My best friend introduced to this place. Everytime that I've visited and ordered food, it was great. However, the guacamole is missing a few ingredients and I didn't enjoy with my chips. I will continue to come here as long as I keep getting good food and great service.

I'll let the picture of the raw ass chicken speak for itself...... Service: fine, working class people Ambience: some guy came in and asked if he could buy a cigarette

This place is not a good Taqueria. It IS, however, excellent junk food. Given the choice between here or Taco Bell down the block, Fresh Taco easily wins the prize for "Best Fake Mexican Food in Ridgewood."

Disgusting inedible food filthy plate the women was very rude would not come and send a delivery guy to pick up this order

The food was disgusting and edible the plate was filthy the woman was extremely rude and refused to send the delivery guy out to return the order I would not recommend ordering food from this place only if you're looking to get food poisoning and end up in a hospital they will be being reported to the department of health

I know a lot of people care about how authentic food based on who is making it. Well for those people this is not the place for you. This joint is staffed by Chinese people making tacos and burritos and such. What blew me away are the prices. A 1.25 for a chicken taco, I am down for that. While there the workers were taking about my girlfriend and me. I suspect they thought we would not be able to understand but we did. It wasn't anything bad but kind of rude to be doing so in front of us. This is pretty much a hole in the wall with a few seats. However you can't complain with their prices and the quality of their food. Also there is a copy cat right across the street from them. No wonder they have a sign up claiming they are the original.

Don't be fooled by the pretty photos on their menu. This is what their large chicken burrito looks like!

The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the space itself is cozy and charming. The food and drinks are consistently phenomenal. I've probably tried just about everything on the menu at this point, and not a single dish has ever disappointed. Even though I don't usually like salmon, theirs is prepared so well that I actually enjoy it. Some of my personal favorites are the birria tacos, tortilla soup, and the wet burrito. The drinks are just as impressive, with a secret sangria recipe that's always a hit. My go to is the frozen watermelon margarita, refreshing and delicious every time. As a longtime regular, I can confidently say that once you try La Casita, you'll be hooked and want to come back again and again.

Not amazing) (5/10) - Soft scrambled egg salsa matcha tostada (8/10) - Masa Pancakes (9/10) - Chicken Milanese (8/10) I'll say the egg tostada was.... absolutely delicious. The Milanese was golden brown, beyond crispy but leaned more schnitzel on my opinion with the tart slaw on top and the mustard leaning sauce on the bottom. Definitely want to come back to try their dinner menu.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, helping explain the menu & giving us great suggestions. Started off with pineapple margaritas that were REALLY good & not too strong. The fried oaxacan cheese, three cheese empanada & shrimp ceviche was extremely delicious. Shrimp ceviche tastes fresh and the small jalapeños offered just the right kick of spice. The chicken milanesa & dry-aged pork chop were absolutely delicious. Pork chop was a buttery savory delight & the chicken was cooked to perfection, was moist not over cooked & had a wonderful crunch. The green rice was surprisingly good (I'm not the biggest fan of rice). The space was a lot smaller than I had anticipated but very well thought out, didn't feel like we were sitting on top of an each. I love an open kitchen concept to see what it takes to pump out delicious meal after meal. If this is on your list or you're in the area, run, jog, speed walk to this neighborhood gem it will not disappoint.

There is a patio outside for additional seating. It is family owned and if there is one downside is that they are a little slow. But it's so worth it. Go if you're not in hurry. We got so much food: different tacos, quesadilla, elote, horchata, salsa, chips, and guacamole. It was all good. The elote was sweet, salty, and smokey. The chips were warm, the guacamole was creamy with a hint of spice. There was three distinct salsa, one green, two red. One red was super spicy. The horchata was frothy, nicely spiced, and just a little sweet. The tacos were really good. I had the fish, birria, and the surf n turf (shrimp and steak). The fish tasted fresh. The shrimp was bouncy and the steak was flavorful. The birria taco was one of the best birria taco I've had outside of San Diego. My daughter had the chicken quesadilla. She said it was very cheesy. For dessert we had their churros. It was freshly made. The filling tasted slightly like coffee and was molten hot. The caramel dip which was very pudding-like really added to the flavor of the churros. We found our new favorite taqueria.

Then I ordered guacamole which they made fresh at the table. I thought that was pretty cool and don't see that often anymore. The enchiladas came with a savory salsa verde sauce and side of rice and beans! Everything was cooked to perfection. The owner was also my server! She was amazing (I didn't get her name) but she made my drink and made the guac too! I look forward to treating myself again to dinner here soon.

Aside from having a small brunch menu, the food itself was pretty awful. My friend ordered the huevos rancheros and she is approximately 8 months pregnant. They brought the eggs out over easy (waitress didn't ask her preference when taking the order) so she asked them to please make them overhard since she cannot consume raw eggs (we thought it was a given). They took it back but literally brought it back the exact same way...ultimately she had to ask them to just give scrambled eggs and the obliged with a hint of annoyance. My other friend got her scrambled eggs, and they came out wet...yup...wet. It seemed they werent done cooking? So those went untouched. I (and 2 others) played it safe and ordered the pancakes with bacon and eggs...or so I thought. The bacon was turkey bacon, which was actually good but, they did not even state it was not regular bacon when taking the orders. My scrambled eggs were flavorless but at least they were cooked. However, pancakes were absolutely horrible! Dry and flavorless but the most disturbing part of this? The Syrup. I swear it was expired!!! (photos below) I HAVE NEVER SEEN SYRUP LIKE THIS EVER. Since it was quiet on a Monday, we had our pick of tables. The atmosphere is warm and inviting--dim lighting paired with low Spanish music playing in the background. We sampled three different drinks throughout the meal, and all were excellent: White Sangria (First Place): Exceptionally refreshing and smooth--the standout drink of the night. Frozen Margarita (Second Place): Perfectly blended with a delicious, smooth, slushy consistency. Red Sangria (Third Place): Very enjoyable, though slightly outshined by the other two. It's worth noting that Klan Destino offers two distinct menus--one Mexican and one Argentinian. We ordered entirely from the Argentinian side, and the kitchen delivered on all fronts. For appetizers we ordered Burrata Klandestina which is a unique spin compared to traditional Italian burrata. It was well-executed, served alongside a fresh salad and flavorful prosciutto. Our main course was Asado Klandestino Pura Vaca - For Two. The highlight of the meal which was packed with an outstanding selection of meats. The portion was huge and we couldn't finish it all. It made for fantastic leftovers at home. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu. It was perfectly balanced. Neither the espresso nor the chocolate overwhelmed the dish, making for a light, delicious end to the meal. Klan Destino delivers great ambiance, excellent service, and great quality food. But anyway, there I was sitting on the patio next to these fake-looking potted plants, staring at my drink and looking at Metropolitan traffic. My Red Sangria came in this tall glass with a slice of orange stuck on top, looking all fancy, and it had a bunch of chopped-up fruit floating around at the bottom that you couldn't actually reach without making a total mess, but to be fair, it wasn't half bad. It was cold and fruity and kept me from having to talk to anybody for a few minutes. Then came the "Tacos Entraña." That's skirt steak, if you're not trying to sound like you're from somewhere, somewhere, where its like common and stuff. They serve three of them on this wooden board because apparently regular plates aren't stable enough for many Mexican restaurants anymore. They were absolutely smothered in this white crema stuff, cilantro, and chopped onions. I'll admit, though, the meat actually tasted pretty damn good. It was thick, properly charred. I go into these new pop-ups expecting the whole food fusion thing to be a total fraud, and then the food actually turns out to be quite excellent and not too expensive. I had a great waiter who made the whole lunching experience feel effortless. I lefy feeling taken care of, without ever feeling like I was part of someone else's performance.
