This was tiny - like half a beet chopped up, with a fig, and a few dollops of ricotta that had limited taste - the salmon tartare (probably the best app) had salmon, a few capers, and razor thin chips - patatas bravas - a potato dish. Meh. At least the potatoes were crispy. - the mushroom paella- no taste lol. I had one scoop and honestly that was enough for me. There was plenty leftover. The wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu and the specials, making some good recommendations when asked. They were very enthusiastic about what they were serving and I can see why! The food was delectable, delicious and hit all the notes. I was looking for a good pub and I found an excellent one! I tried the burger which was juicy and perfectly cooked. They are delicate and packed with flavor. The second tapas we ordered was the Albacore tuna served with bulgur cracker. For our main we decided to share the seafood paella which consisted of Argentina red shrimps, organic salmon, and mussels. We finished our meal with the grand finale: Spanish Churro. This is not your regular churro. This was shaped like a cinamon bun and you have two delightful dipping sauces - dolce de leche and dark chocolate. This was by far the best churro I've ever had. Last night, my friends and I decided to go anyway, knowing the quality was always great... and I'm so glad we did! To my surprise and delight, Chef Vito let us know that all of their pastas are vegan and he could easily modify the sauces to suit my diet. The food was absolutely delicious--it tasted just like the meals I had in Italy. The quality, attention to detail, and service were even better than I remembered. I started with the fennel and orange salad, followed by a beautifully adapted pasta dish, and every bite was perfection. We left so happy that we chose to support a locally owned restaurant instead of a corporate chain.
