Based out of an old Bank (with the Bank Vault still present in the back for private parties), the atmosphere was not a dark pub of old but updated to be classy, clean and suitably modern. The service was friendly right off the bat, we didn't wait longer than 15 seconds until we were greeted and seated. The wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu and the specials, making some good recommendations when asked. They were very enthusiastic about what they were serving and I can see why! The food was delectable, delicious and hit all the notes. I was looking for a good pub and I found an excellent one! I tried the burger which was juicy and perfectly cooked. I shared the California sandwich as well and I can't decide which one was better, it was a very tough call. When I'm back in Whitby I will definitely return.

All tables had reserved signs (so she wasn't kidding earlier) and service was fast at that time. Food came very fast, fresh and hot so my MIL had nothing to complain about! I'm not entirely fussy about the juices of the beef or anything. However when I asked him about it, he promptly was willing to have the whole dish redone. He seemed rather appaled that he had made a mistake like that, given he was plant based himself. Perhaps it was me not being assertive enough, or perhaps something was missed when the order was taken, either way immediate action was taken to quickly rectify the situation. And it was awesome! This to me, bespeaks of going above and beyond, which is something I resonate strongly with because I am that type of way myself. Would definitely return.
