There was a small line when we arrived on a Saturday morning. Seems like a popular place. I always try to look for any unique items and guys they have apple fritter donut holes! I had to try some and later found out the nice lady gave us extras. Probably because she saw my excitement. They were delicious! I also grabbed an old fashioned donut because they are my favorite. The cinnamon one was solid (there was only one chocolate one left, which is my ultimate favorite, but I let my brother have it because I'm a super nice sister). The bacon sausage roll was just okay to me. The croissant sausage roll was good. I've only been there once so I'm not sure if they usually have more unique offerings but definitely a solid donut shop in the area.

Such a kind gesture even though we didn't order anything in and just sat down to scarf down a donut quickly. We don't purchase the refreshments but there's plenty of kids friendly options too. A McKinney Gem - Outstanding Donuts & Even Better Service!…read moreSonny's Donuts has become our family's favorite spot in McKinney, and for good reason. The quality of their donuts is exceptional - their cronut is an absolute standout with its perfectly buttery, crispy layers that somehow manage to be both decadent and light. You can tell they take real pride in their baking. But what really sets Sonny's apart is their incredible service. During our recent visit, my kids accidentally spilled milk, and the staff's response was beyond what anyone would expect. Not only did they immediately help us clean up without making us feel embarrassed, but they also insisted on giving us another milk on the house. It's these small acts of kindness that turn a good donut shop into a beloved community spot. The prices are more than fair, especially considering the quality you're getting. In a world where great customer service feels increasingly rare, Sonny's Donuts proves that treating people with genuine care and respect is still alive and well. We'll absolutely be back, and I can't recommend this place highly enough to anyone in the McKinney area!
