From start to finish, my exterior paint job took about 10 days. The painters were incredibly thorough and did an excellent job prepping the fiber cement siding and stucco for two coats of paint. They were never disgruntled and always had a smile on their faces. I think anyone would attest that having happy employees typically results in quality results. As a bonus, they were also very clean and so personable! Very happy with the results!!! My two front entrance doors needed a re-stain as the afternoon sun has caused some damage over the last couple of years. So I set out to get a number of estimates in order to start my job. Out of approximately 10 quotes, Fresh Coat came in in the middle in terms of cost. The previous painter did a terrible job of preparing the eaves less than three years ago, and now the paint was literally falling off the eaves in large pieces. I contacted Fresh Coat Painters of Monrovia and spoke with Jennifer. *First, I was pleased with the time she took to really look at what the scope of work entailed. She explained exactly what they were going to be doing. It made me feel confident about the detailed quote she gave me. *I showed her the leftover paint from the last time, which after almost three years was not usable. She explained what type of paint she was going to use and why. She was able to get a color match. *Even though the quote was a bit higher than I anticipated, a second quote actually came in 25% higher, and I did not feel he addressed the work in the detail Jennifer gave me. He used contracted workers rather than employees. He was going to use the leftover paint from the previous painter, who did not do a good job. *Jennifer provided me with a proposal, along with all those documents that in the event of an injury the employees are covered. *I liked the fact that the three men who did the work are her employees, not contracted. In talking it seems she treats her employees well. *The workers were here on time, made very little noise, and were meticulous. They prepped well. Made sure they taped off, covered areas to avoid getting paint on anything that did not need paint. They even touched up a repair that the previous painter did that he did not finish, that they did not have to do. They picked up their trash, and left my yard in good shape, no damage to anything.
