Robert came out to help me in a tough spot where the age old argument between human and insurance company required us to repair the stucco and the wooden fascia around the house or be banned for life from the insurance agency... oh no. Robert is calm, level headed and gave practical solutions to any issue. During the project, Robert noted (and showed me rather than just telling) that our roof would not withstand the impending winter weather. He gave a reasonable quote, and had the roof fixed up in 2 days. I would trust Robert with any future projects I need to get me out of a sticky insurance based situation! read more

Robert Clark and his family do amazing work. I am a repeat customer and always very happy with the job they do.

Robert came out to see the various things needed on house - new paint and trim, fixing problematic areas on roof, installing new flashing around chimney, new gutters, and interior paint in bath, kitchen and ceilings. He was a one-stop shop! He and his crew were able to handle everything - and all within the one week timeline he fastidiously laid out. Everything looks great - and he and his dad were so very personable and easy to work with. Highly recommend. read more

Just a quick update: I've lived in the condo for 3 years and the painting has not held up how I hoped it would and there have been things that have come up that confuse me. I brushed it off after the project but from before to after painting, a pocket door got completely stuck because the paint layer was too thick on it. Somehow a light does not work and still does not work, and the biggest piece that I found is they just painted straight over a coax cable that is needed for internet. So we have to pay multiple different specialists to come out and fix all these things, and likely straight up replace the pocket door which is not a cheap thing. I'm now prepping to sell the condo and I am going to have to pay someone a pretty penny to repaint entire walls because the paint didn't hold up for some reason (photo included of a wall that I have NO idea why it looks like this... it's a bedroom wall without any furniture against it). I had requested we use one brand and they insisted on using another, and I still wonder if using the brand I had researched and requested would have led to fewer issues than what I'm facing. In short, I really don't think I'd go with this company in hindsight. They were very friendly and fast and professional, but their work just hasn't held up over just three short years. read more

Great job reroofing our house. Fair price, high quality and great communication. Would use them again and have recommended them to others.

Robert and his team did an absolutely fantastic job painting the exterior of our house. Robert gave us a competitive quote, was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He and his crew went above and beyond what we expected, were very detail oriented, and focused on finishing the job in a reasonable amount of time. Our one hundred year old Tudor revival house looks brand new! I don't write reviews hardly ever on yelp, but this contractor deserves a good one! If you need your house painted, don't hesitate to hire Robert Clark Painting and Roofing. read more

Robert was great. Had a mysterious leak - turns out it wasn't the roof. He was prompt, honest and would highly recommend to others.

Arrived promptly to assess decks and explained procedure on type of paint and the process used.. Outside decks look new!

We had a comparatively small project to what I'm sure this team is accustomed to but we were treated no differently than had this been a 6-figure project. From day one the team was incredibly responsive, professional, and punctual. We had about 20 window frames sanded down and repainted (the previous painters, hired by a house flipper, had done an awful job). We also had a pergola refinished, an interior wall repainted, and the front door sanded and repainted. Clark painting did a fantastic job and whatever was not up to my specs they came back around and took care of it no questions asked. The team is professional, trustworthy, and kind - easily among the best of contractors I have hired through Yelp. read more

I highly recommend Robert and also his dad, Daniel Clark. Not only are they reliable , they do quality work as well. They did work at my mother's house, and I felt very comfortable with them and their crew coming in and out of the house, so I didn't need to sit there at the house. They said what needed to be done, and how long it would take, and they finished the job right on schedule. They showed up every day and got to work. They were respectful and friendly as well. read more

We recently decided to paint the exterior of our house and garage. Robert and his team did a great job and we're really happy with the results! The team was all efficient, knowledgeable, and quick to answer any questions we had in the process. They also were really detail focused which we appreciated. We had several specific notes which they made sure to attend to as well. We'd definitely go back to them or refer to friends. read more

We hired Robert and his team to help us replace and repair sections of our failing roof following the heavy LA rainy season. They performed flat roof repairs and silicone water proofing and replaced a section of the roof that was improperly installed by a prior contractor. From start to finish, the team was awesome. They were always on time, communicated clearly about the problems and possible solutions, and were honest about options and pricing. We had some complicated issues with an underlying structure in the roof, and they came over multiple times to help us properly locate the leak site. A+. Highly recommend. Will definitely hire again when we have to replace the older part of the roof. read more

We had great luck with Robert in getting an estimate for repairing our home's roof. He had timely communication and was thorough in explaining his assessment. He also showed up on time. Recommended! read more

Family owned & customer oriented company. Very professional, great customer service, open & concise lines of communication, adherent to predetermined deadlines. Work projects completed at my home included replacement of all house perimeter fascia boards, stucco repair, painting & patio roof replacement. Sincere thanks to Robert Clark for all his excellent work! Highly recommendable! read more

Robert Clark Painting did an incredible job on our triplex. We originally hired them to paint the interior of our craftsman and liked their work so much, we opted to paint the exterior of our duplex and the exterior of the craftsman with them. They brought in a team of 3-5 guys to get the job done early and were very professional and detail oriented. This is also a family business, so not only do you get dedicated workers, you also get the entire family coming to ensure the project is done to your satisfaction. They were more expensive than other companies, but did so much more work than an average painter to make the job exceptional. The prep before painting made the final reveal so much better - they power washed everything, removed old wires and boxes from the exterior, replaced and patched stucco, sanded stairwells and old window frames, skim coated patched up drywall, replaced old termite-eaten and rotten wood, replaced wooden edging, taped everything nicely, and bagged up the trash in addition to painting. We'd highly recommend them to anyone looking to freshen up their home. They take great pride in their work and ensure you are a satisfied customer! read more

Robert and his family did an excellent job installing a new roof on our house. They were great at explaining the options and performed the work in a timely manner. Highly recommended! read more

To make a long story short, Robert Clark painted the interior of my house. The paint in my bathrooms and some trim is peeling right off with my fingernail with very little effort. This happens when shinny surfaces are NOT primed. If you scuff the shinny surface and paint over it, the paint will not adhere. Robert Clark sold me on prep work being important, but that was not my experience. There was a disregard for detail and cleanliness in other areas as well. Once I have time to do the job right myself, I will follow up with a before and after video. read more

Great painter! It was wonderful to have an entire family and dedicated crew working on our house. The house was in desperate need of stucco repair, eaves repairs, painting, and replacement of front porch posts. Things were crumbling. Robert and his team came in and completed the work in a week! Very professional, honest, reliable, and even cleaned up the concrete steps and painted them free of charge. Would highly recommend! read more

Robert and his team gave my client what I consider southern hospitality. He sent photos of the roofing work before and after he completed the work and offered a credit towards future work if he wasn't able to resolve the issues. Vendors like Robert are hard to find in Los Angeles. There is so much corruption and scams that it makes property management difficult. Robert was honest and forthcoming about their work and every element of the services they offered. Robert you are so appreciated and I will definitely make sure my colleagues patronize your business. Thanks again for your honest service to the community and small businesses. read more

Robert and his crew did an amazing job. Attention to detail on everything he touched. He did a very extensive encapsulation job on a ceiling for me, and the end result looked unreal. It was way better than I had imagined it would turn out. The key was in the details. He did such a great job with making everything look smooth, flat and finished. It sounds like a small difference typing this out, but the that is the difference between Robert and some random construction co that uses low cost labor. He oversees his guys well and has the right processes and management in place to achieve these results. I don't think his craftsmanship could be beat so that is why this is a 5 star review. He was also just great and easy to work with, kept me updated. They took their time taping everything up, prepping the surfaces, sanding, and painting the final surface. Also after they finished, him and crew did a good job cleaning everything up. Highly recommend him for your next project! read more

The best experience with the Robert Clark crew - a high quality experience from first meeting to final completion, they know their stuff! Especially well informed on stucco and elastomeric paint. High attention to detail, even fixed up some things I didn't expect. A family business worth trusting! read more

Robert Clark is in fact a real person and he was great to work with! I had both exterior and interior painted. His crew did a great job. On time, respectful and fast but not sloppy. Prepped my house for days and it really shows in the final product! These days everything seems difficult, but getting your house painted doesn't have to be! read more

What rare pleasure it is to find a contractor (actually, a whole family of contractors), who says what they're going to do, then does it, and charges you fairly for their labor. The Clarks have been doing this a long time - it's obviously in their blood - and their straightforward philosophy and attention to craft and detail permeates everything they and their stellar crew touches. I couldn't be happier with the job they did on my 100 year-old Eagle Rock bungalow, and look forward to hiring them again. read more

Robert, family, and crew were great. Very meticulous, clean, and professional. Would definitely use them again.

Robert, his brothers and father just tackled the monumental job of painting our hillside home exterior. It was a job that required scaffolding as well as getting on our steep pitched roof and getting to some tricky spots to complete the job. First observation - from the moment they came to give us the first bid, they were great communicators and despite the complexity of the job - they never seemed nervous about any part of it. All of the Clark's are happy to answer questions, extremely knowledgeable and we knew upon our first meeting that they would be perfect for the job. We have had several issues with contractors in the past not living up to the time or money estimates that they gave us - and it was a vey refreshing change that Robert Clark and team finished on time, on budget and did an amazing job. The guys working on the job were on time and worked super hard 6 days a week. Even when a few curveballs were thrown their way - they handled them with so little impact on the overall job. They are a great family business and we're super reliable. We have gotten many compliments from people in the neighborhood on how much they love the look of the house and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again for our other painting needs! read more

I highly recommend working with this company! From the start they were responsive and prompt. Robert came out to walk me through everything they would need to do and to give a quote which was very fair for the amount of work. He set expectations for when they would be able to start and they showed up exactly when expected. The same team came every day and they were nice, efficient, clean, respectful, and talented. Communication was always very easy and the job took the exact amount of time we were told, even with extra repairs and work they found when they got started. The finished product speaks for itself, we've been getting compliments from the neighbors all week. read more

We hired Robert Clark to paint our 3 story hillside house and retaining walls. They did a great job. Our home is clad in original wood siding from the 60s, so our main concern was that the sanding, caulking, and prep work was done right to prevent water intrusion and other damage. They did not disappoint! Given the home's height and close proximity to the street, they brought out a lift and did all the challenging prep and paint work first--all while working well with neighbors and with minimal disruption to traffic on the tight street. Everyone showed up on time, they finished ahead of schedule, and everyone was super communicative throughout the process. No surprises, and good attention to detail. Highly recommend! read more

We had a great experience and the job was very, very well done. The preparation was meticulous and the attention to detail and craftsmanship was old-world impressive. When I first met them, they said they were a little more expensive than some other companies, but worth it. However, their estimate was almost exactly the same as others I received, and their quality of work was truly exceptional. Pablo was amazing and very communicative answering questions and at the end asking us if we thought any further touchups were needed anywhere. Highly, highly recommend. The whole crew at Robert Clark were a dream to work with. They are a family run business which was a big plus for us. You really feel the extra care and attention given in every detail. Robert Clark - Painters Near Me - Glendale, California

I decided to give Yelp a try since most of the painters I worked with in the past were busy with other big assignments. Several people responded, including Mr. Robert Clark of Robert Clark Painting. I have to say I was most impressed with the quick response and the very personalized care and service. Robert and his brother explained every detail to me in person, over the telephone, and via text messaging. I definitely felt that these guys really know what they are doing and care about doing a great job. I like clarity and decisiveness and got both. Robert and his team are working on my property now. I fully anticipate that the job will be better than I expect since the team is taking great care in executing the job. Robert keeps on top of details and visits regularly to see how his team is doing. I recommend these folks and believe you will be quite happy with their work. Prompt service; great attention to detail; fair price; polite and professional team; easy-going....all the things you want and expect from a team of professionals. read more

If you're looking for people who will just slap a coat of paint, then this is not the crew for you. Robert Clark did a great job with our exterior paint job. The hillside home was challenging, but Robert's crew did a professional job and finished on time. They even handled the extra work of painting some doors and metalwork and replacing some light fixtures. Good attention to detail and he was on site frequently making sure all was on track. Very happy with the job they did. read more

Cannot recommend these guys enough! I have now hired them for 2 jobs. 1 painting the outside of my home. Which is a large and difficult job and involved them even doing some minor carpentry and extensive stucco repairs. Then another job painting windows and trim inside my home. They did an absolutely outstanding job on both. This is a true family business and you will meet the dad and the seemingly endless number of brothers who work together, with passion, to make this business a success. I have been remodeling my home the last 6 months and have worked with nearly a dozen different contractors on different jobs and they are hands down the easiest to work with. They do what they say they are going to do, on time, and have outstanding work ethic. They also have always been willing to come back to fix anything I wasn't 100% happy with (and quick too!). Their prices are also very competitive. I highly recommend them for any painting job. read more

I would recommend Robert for any external painting job, especially if it is challenging due to elevation (as is common in the hills of Los Angeles). Robert and his crew were great to work with - through the quoting process (I had 4 contractors come to discuss and quote the work and Robert was very knowledgeable which was apparent in our early conversations). During the job, the crew (and much of the Clark family) worked very quickly and seemed well coordinated. They painted my difficult-to-paint house (very tall, on a very sloped lot) and did a great job - everything looks great a few weeks on and I'll be keeping a close eye to see how it progresses over the years. I don't have much more to add other than they will be my first call on my next exterior painting job. read more

Robert Clark painted the exterior of my house, which was very old and dated. Before painting, he also did some extensive repair work that I don't think any other painting company would have done nearly as well. He helped me select colors that would work well and finished the job earlier than estimated at a very competitive rate. The final product is amazing -- my house looks so much more modern and now finally possesses the all-wanting curb appeal it so desperately needed. I'm thinking about painting the interior of my house next, and I will absolutely call Robert back to handle the job. read more
