It was a wonderful and painless experience hiring Lenny to paint the exterior of our house. He is punctual and did a great job. Deal with confidence and will highly recommend. read more

We were tired of looking at our peach colored house (LOL) so we shopped around and found Ole Time Painting through Yelp! I received a very prompt and friendly response to my inital estimate request. Lenny and Archie stopped by to check out the house and provided a very affordable quote. Lenny was kind enough to shift their schedule around to accommodate our availability. The guys were so easy to work with, patient, and helpful in their recommendations. We love the new paint job! We highly recommend! read more

Lenny & Archie did a fantastic job on our place in Glendale. When I got busy at work and couldn't do the job right away, and I called him to start the project up again, he insisted on coming back out to get another look. I was also busy finishing a job when they were painting, and they were very patient waiting for me to come outside to answer questions and pick paint chips. There was one trim color I absolutely hated, but didn't know how to change it (it was the wood rafters under the overhang and beams which supported the roof which the previous flippers had just painted "poop" brown to hide the imperfections in the rotting spots. Lenny advised me on a darker shade of the existing Trim color which I liked and had never thought of. Not only did that color work great, they even glued some of the rotting wood spots. I was also nervous about the porch paint since the flippers had used a terrible quality paint which peeled right after we moved in. He made sure it was sanded all the way down and advised on a durable "porch paint" which will last a long time. In addition he was friendly w/my little girl and my dog - he even came back to paint the porches on a day when we were gone as a family. He also touched up the spots I pointed out when we did the final walk through. read more

The best painters in the Valley! I had just moved into my new condo last year and called a bunch of painters to paint and do some repair work in the bedroom and kitchen. The bids I either got were either crazy high, were never sent after the initial visit, or they refused the job because it wasn't big enough and they had plenty of other work lined up. Lenny came out, took a look, gave me a bid, and despite also being also completely booked, promised to follow-up to schedule once he had availability. Lo and behold, a couple weeks later, he ACTUALLY DID. His bid was also super super reasonable. Archie (who did the painting and works with Lenny) was able to find a time and date that worked for both of us. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the results, even coming in when he was supposed to have a day off! I've since asked him back to repair wall damage due to some unfortunate water leaks (#newhomeownerlife). They are my go-to company whenever I need painting work done. Would highly recommend if you want quality work, excellent communication skills, and people who respect your time like their own! read more

I just want to give a huge thanks to Lenny and his team at Ole time painting. They did an absolutely killer job on restoring my rental property home back to its original glory. My last tenants were absolutely filthy so I had to have the whole house repainted. I called five different painters but I went with Lenny because he was recommended by others and I believe in supporting local businesses. If anyone needs a recommendation, go with Lenny. They did exactly what I asked them to do. They did all interior walls, trim, and doors. They did the exterior front door and all shutters and trim. read more

Lenny and his team did a great job on our Glendale property. It was old and decrepit. He was honest about the job and kept us informed every step of the way. The home looked MUCH nicer when he was done. He is patient and courteous. Very easy to work with and will likely work with him again in the near future. I heartily recommend Ole Time Painting. read more

The folks at Ole Time Painting just got done painting our Burbank home. Lenny and his main guy Archie did a wonderful job on renewing and refreshing our interior paint! Everything was painstakingly taped, draped and shielded and mess was always kept to a minimum! The guys were fast, friendly and helpful. We would recommend and use again AND again! read more

I cannot recommend Lenny / Ole Time Painting enough! He did an amazing job on the exterior trim of my house including a nasty wood rot situation on my porch interior. Throughout the entire process he communicated well and was very honest what could and could not be done with my uneven stucco and general old house quirks! He and Archie finished on time and on budget. I'll be having him back for a skim coat job very soon!! read more

Lenny and his team did a fantastic job painting the exterior trim of our house! Great attention to detail, affordable, and finished on time. We will definitely hire them again for any painting needs in the near future! read more

It was a joy to work with Lenny on our home project and he has now become our go to for home painting, ceiling and wall repair. He is a true professional that doesn't overcomplicate the process: he follows up as promised starting with a quote to scheduling the job to finishing as promised. His price is fair as well. He painted our entire home interior beautifully and we trusted him and his crew to do it while we were out of town. He kept in touch about how the work was going and didn't miss any details. When we ran into an unusual snag (unrelated to Lenny's work), Lenny went above and beyond. He consulted with other sources and worked with us on the best timing in our schedule to find the fix. We appreciated him following through and his positive attitude about it all. Besides his professionalism, passion for his craft, and impeccable work quality, Lenny is a pleasure to be around. We look forward to working with him again in the future! read more

I used Lenny for my living room, dining room, and kitchen. Lenny was very fair with his estimate and went above and beyond on the painting work I received. Lenny and Archie were very efficient and I am very happy with the results. I plan to use Lenny and his guys for my next paint job. read more

Lenny and his crew recently painted the outside of our house, they did a fantastic job and we love the end result, we went black and white gloss which is a bit out of the box. Throughout the process Lenny provided amazing customer service and was very helpful and accommodating with my husband who is very picky about things. He went out of his way to do a number of paint samples to ensure we were happy with the color/gloss before completing the job. We have contacted Lenny a couple of times since about other paint related questions and he is always quick to respond and very helpful. We have no hesitations recommending them for any paint job you may have. The Jensens, West Hills CA read more

I recently hired Ole Time Painting to paint the interior of my house, including a complete removal of the existing wall texture and installation of new texture. It was a pretty massive undertaking spanning several weeks. Lenny (owner) was extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with while planning the project. He also made frequent visits to the house to make sure everything was going well. Just a really nice guy who also happens to know a heck of a lot about painting. The majority of the actual job was done by Archie, who handled all of the plaster work and most of the painting. Archie is truly a master of his craft, meticulous and steady at every step of the long process. He takes pride in his work, and seemed to treat my walls as if they were in his own house. Oscar also helped out with some of the painting, and was every bit as focused and detailed as Archie. All in all, I can highly recommend Old Time Painting. This is not a large company that manages a small army of semi-skilled painters that rush through jobs with no accountability. Quite the opposite. Old Time Painting is a very small operation, with very skilled and very caring craftsmen, who want to make you very happy with their work. And that's exactly what they did. read more

Lenny and his crew did an excellent job painting our living room and the mantle for our new fireplace! These guys checked all the boxes: - Communication was good before and throughout - Attention to detail was great - Price was competitive - They even accommodated a last minute change made by us on the morning of the job Great work at a great price. Highly recommend! read more

Coincidentally, I've known Lenny for years... Great guy! So when I needed to have my new business studio painted, I immediately contacted him. I also got quotes from other contractors. Not only are his prices the best, he did a fantastic job! I will recommend him to everyone. read more

I contacted Lenny on Thursday, he came out to check out the place to give a quote on Saturday and was able to make it back to finish the job on Tuesday the following week. They were on time, super professional and did a great job with the work. Even though it was a smaller project he treated me as I was a high paying customer. If you are in the area and looking for a painter I would HIGHLY recommend Lenny. read more

Lenny and his team just finished a painting job at my house and they were beyond fantastic. I had a door that I reversed and they managed to fix all the holes and paint the casing. You would never know that it wasn't that way originally. They are very meticulous with their painting and find all imperfections in the walls and try to fix them. My house looks like a totally new place....the paint job was superb! Would highly recommend them for all your painting needs. I certainly will be using them again! read more

Ole Time Painting is a great company to work with. Lenny is a great communicator, both on phone and via text. He met a tight schedule and the actual painting looks great. And did I mention I got estimates from several painters and Ole Time Painting offered me the best price? AND they threw in some extra painting here and there without charging extra. For any painting job you need, make sure to have Ole Time Painting be one of your estimates. My hunch is you'll pick them just like I did, and not regret it. read more

I contacted them for an estimate, they were kind enough to work around my schedule and came for an estimate on the weekend. Lenny was very kind, knowledgeable, courteous, and quoted a very good price. Unfortunately, due to some unexpected plumbing expenses, I won't be able to continue with the painting job as planned. However, I wouldn't hesitate to use their services. read more

Highly recommend Lenny and his crew. He provides great, reliable and quality work for all your painting needs plus his excellent customer service makes you feel at ease every step of the process. From the consultation to the prep and actual painting, you'll feel as if he is a family friend who cares about your home versus just doing a job. I couldn't be any happier with the work! read more

Lenny and his team were incredibly courteous, professional, and did an amazing job on our home! After spending a significant amount of time interviewing several painters in the LA area, I strongly felt that Lenny was the best choice. The work we needed was definitely more than we could handle on our own - a repaint of the front of the border on our house along the roof as well as a repaint of our wooden fence surrounding the front of the property. Lenny used the absolute best materials and matched the paint color of our blue house perfectly! The work is top of the line and we are very thankful that everything looks brand new. I would absolutely work with Lenny again in the future and would recommend him to any of my family or friends! read more

After a decade of wear and tear (including 8 years of a massive dog leaning on them) my walls finally needed some fresh paint and love. I found Lenny off someone's recommendation on Next Door and I am so glad!! He responded quickly to my email and came over to check out my living room and kitchen within a day. Gave me a great quote and estimate on when he and his crew could paint based on my schedule. He and Archie showed up on time everyday and kept me up to date on any changes/snags that popped up. They patched up all the small holes and scuffs in my walls and they look brand new once again! Baseboards and doors looking fantastic as well! Thank you so much Lenny!! I know who I'll be calling once I need to tackle upstairs. read more

Been meaning to write this review for a while because they totally deserve all the stars. Our house was in pretty sad shape and needed a lot of prep work done prior to painting the entire exterior. Lenny and Archie were fantastic. They always kept us updated on the schedule. Thanks to them our house is beautiful and we get so many compliments! read more

I hired Ole Time Painting to paint the exterior of my house. Great job! My expectations were exceeded. We are so happy with the finished product. Lenny's crew is respectful, professional and talented. I highly recommend their services. Thank you! read more

I have now used Lenny and his crew twice, and they were fantastic both times. The first was to paint the exterior of my home. We are close to the beach, and between the sun and the salt water infused air....our house needed a paint job desperately! His crew came and scraped and painted and made the place look fantastic! That was two years ago. So, when we needed the interior done this month, he was the guy for me! I called him up, he worked me into his schedule, and had it done in one day. There were two areas in the bedroom where there were cracks in the ceiling....they disappeared! The placed looked great. These guys are professional, reasonably priced, quick, they clean up after themselves and they have great communication from start to finish. I would recommend them to anyone who needed a paintjob done. read more

I have known Lenny for years. Even before Ole Time Painting was started. Full disclosure of course... We knew we needed to repaint the interior after we "experimented" with one of our bedrooms. It was like living inside a pumpkin after we painted it. I HATE painting, so we naturally called Lenny and he promptly suggested some nicer colors and great overall combinations for our bedrooms, entryway, and living room. We didn't shop around because we knew the kind of guy Lenny was and knew he would give us a reasonable price, which he did. Many years later we still love the interior of our home and when it's eventually time to paint again, we're calling Lenny! read more

We had been looking for a good painter for a a few months and found Lenny and Ole Time Painting through our contractor and boy are we glad we did! Easy to work with and very professional Lenny and Oscar were a great team and very respectful of our, wishes, our deadline, and both went above and beyond to provide excellent service and a awesome paint job. Our early 30's Spanish style home is on a slope and a mostly original exterior, Lenny and Oscar took great care to respect our landscaping, the exterior that we wanted to stay as close to original as possible and they also worked great with our other contractors. We did not want a spray on paint job and even with just Lenny and Oscar they were able to start and finish on time! With their combined experience we learned new things about the painting of our home but how to maintain it. Lenny and Oscar are very professional, always were on time to start the day, left a clean job site and considerate of our neighbors. Lenny even went the extra mile and took care of getting all of our window screens replaced! The job looks amazing and we were very happy with their work and the experience was worth every penny. It was actually sad to see the two of them finish and leave. Do yourself a favor and work with Ole Time Painting for your next home painting job. Ole Time Painting, Lenny and Oscar are highly recommended! A and J in Silver Lake read more

I don't give 5 stars lightly. I have to love it to do so. Well, I loved it. Quality, professional, clean service at reasonable prices. Lenny's team painted the entire inside of my home. Walls, ceiling, trim, doors..... all of it. 6 months later and I have not found a missed spot or accident. That is quite a feat for an entire house! I HIGHLY and whole-heartedly recommend. read more

Ole Time Painting!!! If you are looking for a painter look no further, Lenny and his crew are the best. This was the second time we had Lenny out. About 4 years ago he did the entire exterior, this time just a couple of interior rooms. Lenny is always professional - on time, reliable, efficient and reasonable. No job too big or too small! Oh, don't want to forget Luis - also the best! read more

I used Ole Time Painting recently to have my 1907 bungalow painted. Lenny Castilo is a great guy! He and his crew are respectful, clean, on-time, smart and excellent at what they do. I needed a little repair on the windows and steps, plus some serious prep work, and he did it all, without overcharging me. His price was fair (he wasn't the cheapest, but not the most expensive, either), and the job came in EXACTLY on time! He and his crew showed good attention to detail, and even had some good suggestions on color, trim work, etc. Within three days of the job being completed, my fence was "tagged" (yes, it's Echo Park after all). Lenny came out and did the touch up with no extra charge or complaint. I would most definitely use him again. Btw, I found him through redbeacon.com, as well. read more

Lenny is the best. After meeting with several flaky contractors, I found Lenny at Ole Time Painting through redbeacon.com. He is hardworking, honest and truly cares about his work - which you can clearly see in his attention to detail. Communication was a breeze (text and calls) and the whole process was as non-stressful as you can get. I just bought my first home and it appeared that nothing had been updated in the past 10 years at least. Lenny and his crew scraped the popcorn off the ceilings, patched it and painted it. They also painted all the walls and doors and WOW! The place looks fantastic and I couldn't be happier to call it home! All done within a reasonable amount of time and at a very fair price. If I ever need anything done, I'll definitely call Lenny again - he is THE BEST! read more

These guys are GREAT. Lenny responded right away to a text; came over same day for an estimate. TOTAL PROS who showed up on time, got it done efficiently exactly as we wanted, and at a fair price. Shout out to Archie! Beautiful work!! read more

I was referred to Ole Time Painting by my interior designer, and the quality of work definitely shows. Lenny and Steve painted my kitchen, dining area and the living room. Our kitchen was dated and I didn't want to redo the kitchen just after a move, so our designer recommended to painting the cabinets, and I'm glad that we did -- now they look fantastic. They really took the time to tape the edges, sand and prime -- and with the right color it looks better than new. My living room ceiling is sloped and is very high, and some places are difficult to reach; also, my ceiling and wall are painted in a different color -- I don't know how they painted the ceiling and wall with such good edges. They were punctual, professional and friendly and great to do business with. Lenny also came back to finish the work after another contractor redid the wall at no extra charge. They finished the work at the quoted price and it was a very good price. I'll definitely call them again when we decide to repaint the bedrooms. Thanks guys. read more

I was refinancing my house and had a small window of time to get repairs done and the house painted. Lenny went out of his way to make certain that I met my deadline and his guys went out of their way to go over and above what I would have considered normal for painting the exterior of an old house. I had planned to replace one of my doors but once the job was finished it looked so good that I did not need to! When the job started, I was not certain what color to paint my home and Lenny helped out with sample books and paint colors. I would highly recommend him because he definitely went out of his way to make my home look great and to help me with issues I had no idea how to handle. The house passed the appraisal and all is great. I would highly recommend Lenny and his crew to anyone. BTW I interviewed two other painters but chose Lenny because he was the most down to earth, took the time to listen to what I wanted and his prices were very reasonable for the amount of work done. read more

Lenny literally saved my bookshelves! After getting a really bad paint job on my library-sized bookshelves and cabinets, I was referred to Ole Time Painting by my handyman. I called Lenny and he came by the next day, told me what needed to be fixed and gave me a very reasonable quote. And with a few days of work, he had everything fixed and redone to perfection. I was so worried about the horrible job the first set of painters did on the shelves, I thought it would cost an arm and a leg to have them fixed. But Lenny was very reasonable and he is super professional thru the whole thing. I'm so glad I found him and I will be doing any future painting with HIM and his company! read more
