Keith painting did an amazing job painting our 1938 Spanish house. This was no small feat - it is on a hill and three stories. They had the scaffolding and insurance needed (unlike some of the other companies I met) to safely complete the job. They also sanded and reglazed all of the windows which aoriginal multi paned, wooden sash windows. On top of the quality job that was completed on time, the customer service was amazing. Daniel communicated with us regularly, explained everything involved in the process, and kept everything on track. I should have written this review a few years ago. Keith Painting painted the exterior of my house in late summer of 2020, during the height of the Covid era. They did extensive prep work before commencing to actually paint the house. The prep is key. Anyone can paint a house, but getting the surface prepared so the paint job will look good and last a long time is most important. I have a particularly difficult retaining wall in my front yard holding up my front lawn, and the wall is covered with stucco. Water seeps through the stucco and over time breaks it down. If the surface is prepared properly, the stucco can last for years before this happens; if it's not properly prepared, all it takes is one rainy season. These guys did a great job both on my house exterior and stucco-covered wall. They look great and have lasted a long time. It was a breeze working with Daniel to get the project set up, and telling him my concerns about the retaining wall. He assured me that he "got it" and that the wall would perform like it was supposed to, and boy did they come through. They also bid the job $1K lower than the other company I had bid the job (who I should add is also a company I have had do painting before, and who I trust to do great work.) I will definitely use Keith Painting next time I have a painting project, and I have already sent referrals their way. read more

Today we had our final walkthrough with Alex and his son Alex now that the exterior painting is complete. We got quotes from several painters and there was quite a price range. One company wasn't available until November, another company wouldn't do the wood repair and suggested we use their very expensive carpenter referral; another very expensive painter was experienced in older homes and yes it's older, but not in Bungalow Heaven, so they were out of the game. Keith Painting was our happy medium and Alex was very agreeable and made some good suggestions. They used Dunn Edwards paints and a Sherwin Williams porch paint. In this age of corporate indifference, it is refreshing to find a copany that is family owned and operated. John Keith and his family have painted at least 5 houses on our block over the years--including our house years before we bought it in 2015. Their bid was right in the range of the other bids we had received. After checking their licensing with the state, we signed with them. Our house, a single story frame stucco-covered home with a detached garage Magnolia Park in Burbank, was in need not just new paint but also stucco repair as well as some replacements of soffit wood that had rotted over the years. They finished the work in under a week, first power washing, then repairing the stucco, replacing the rotted wood, then priming and painting. The workers who did the cleaning, repair and painting had been with the company for years. They used high grade paint for both the wooden trim and the stucco, fully warranted in writing. The only part not warranted was the concrete porches, which they painted blue, the same color as our trim. All of the warranties as well as the one exception (the porches) were stated in writing in their contract. What we liked especially is that one or both of the Keith brothers (sons of John Keith) came by each day to inspect and to discuss with us any concerns we had. When the painting was complete, they came by for a final inspection, and we had pointed out for them which parts needed touching up. They made all the touchups that we had indicated before accepting our final payment. In short, their work met or far exceeded our expectations. We whole heartedly recommend them for a truly high-quality paint job. read more

We just had The inside and outside of our home painted by Keith Painting. I cannot say enough good things about them. Alejandro and his team did a spectacular job. They were so accommodating as well. The outside our home has a large wrap around cat enclosure and they made sure that our cat could go back in at the end same day it was painted. They have the best customer service we have ever experienced with any company we have hired. I'm pretty picky about painting in general and wow they really impressed me. Our house needed a good paint job back when we bought it 21 years ago, so to say it was in need of painting is an understatement! We received several quotes, and Keith Painting's estimate came in right in the middle, and we found it to be fair. We loved the fact that Alex brought his teenage son out to our home to assess the job. Alex explained that the business is a 3rd generation business (his own dad taught him and his brother, Daniel, and now Alex was teaching his son). We were told that the job would take about a week (maybe a little less/ maybe a little more). The first two days, there was lots of sanding, sealing of cracks in the stucco, and priming. We had a stretch on three of our walls on our back patio where there had once been a patio cover, and you could see exactly where it had been due to a very poor stucco job. Miguel blended the lines of it beautifully by recreating the stucco design! After all of these years we can no longer see the line! (totally stoked about this!!) Miguel and his partner started the job last Monday at 8:00 a.m. and worked each day until 6:00 p.m. every day and finished in only 5 days! We'd chosen a grayish taupe, which in hindsight we thought clashed with the red brick trim we had on one of the front walls of our house. After a quick text to Daniel over the weekend, he sent Miguel back to our place the following Monday to paint the brick (with a warning to us that it will likely require maintenance due to paint not adhering well to brick). We couldn't be happier with the attention to every detail in the prep work and the excellent paint job they did on the stucco, wood siding, window trim, shutters, doors, AND the brick! My husband Robert K. and I are delighted to have this opportunity to update the excellent experience we had with the Keith Brothers, Alex & Daniel, who completed the work on January 27, 2016. I discovered Keith Painting, Inc. after doing an extensive search on the internet for a reputable company to replace the shingles on the entire front of our home and repaint the whole exterior. Not only did they meet that qualification, I found the Keith brothers to be extremely professional, honest and reliable. The family-owned company was founded by their Father in 1953. The best review of their work is on Angie's List, where a dozen members all give them A ratings, including me. Our "Birdhouse" home was built in 1959 by real estate developer William Mellenthin who was known for designing charming ranch-style homes with gorgeous, wood beam, cathedral ceilings. Having owned our home since 1991, the last time we had the exterior painted was November 1993; unfortunately the 1994 Northridge earthquake damaged the stucco and as a result we neglected upkeep of the exterior. Thus, our home needed substantial prep work, including the replacement of old, warped, half-torn, over-painted shingles. Because we wanted colors to reflect the Craftsman-style architecture of our home, we were unsure about what to choose and didn't decide until the day that the prepping began! Daniel confidently showed up with Sherwin-Williams custom paint charts and recommended the ideal colors for our taste. Please view the attached photos to see the superior work replacing and staining the cedar shingles, as well as repairing the extensive wood trim--eaves, fascia, shutters--to look new. The prep work was meticulous. The lead crewman, Miguel (or Michael)--who's been employed by the Keith family for 25 years--did superior work in power-washing, repairing the stucco and in such details as painting the 15 windows and French doors perfectly. It took 2 weeks of intensive, 8-hour days to complete the job. After learning of Miguel's extensive experience staining interior woodwork--and with the Keith Bros. approval--we hired Miguel later in the year to stain and finish the inside of windows, French doors, and other woodwork to match the interior wood of our home. Another perfect job well done! In closing, from the moment we met Daniel when he came over to give us an estimate, we've had a very good feeling about the integrity and ability of Keith Painting. They provide excellent work with attention to detail and top quality products, along with great customer service. I called Keith Painting and Daniel came to my house within a hour and gave me a quote. After doing my research, Keith Painting gave us the best price and had the best 5 star reviews so we booked them. From day 1 we had nothing but a great experience. Daniel put up samples for me a few days before his team started and finished on time. They were so meticulous and did such an amazing job. I was worried they would destroy my patio furniture, or get paint everywhere, (some construction workers are so sloppy) but Keith Painting was so thorough. Miguel and his partner Donelo (hope I spelled that correctly) worked miracles on those walls and trim! Their prep work and attention to detail is so impressive. While painting the outside of the home, there were some areas I expected a bit of sanding; but they took many of those spots down to the bare wood. If you have any stucco that is bubbling, rest assured they will remove and restore -- making it look like new! We even had some rusted metal trellises that they repainted for us to match our exterior trim -- and then Miguel reinstalled them with new clips! The guys showed up every morning and stayed late each day -- usually past 5:30. Needless to say, they met their timeline! Alex was a pleasure to work with and assured us BEFORE the job started to please speak up if we wanted something touched up, etc. That gave us confidence the company believes in customer satisfaction! I can't say enough good things about this family-owned company. A friend of mine had heard about them from a neighbor who had recently hired them and had a fantastic experience and she recommended I give them a call. I did and spoke with Alex and every bit of the experience from then on was exceptional. First, he did a walkthrough with my realtor while I was out of town for work and when he called with the estimate I felt very comfortable trusting that the price was right and fair. Then, because I had a limited amount of time before my furniture and household goods were to arrive, he offered to make some calls to clients to see if he could rearrange a few other projects in order to get mine completed in that window (thank you again to Alex and the other clients!).
