She frequently reached out to us to help us with our menu and provide suggestions. She and her staff provided top-class service throughout the process and we could tell that she really cared about our wedding experience. Lucia was in our corner from the day we booked her and was a tremendous help with planning a wedding during a pandemic. Her expertise and high caliber of cooking took so much stress off of us as we prepared for our wedding. Now onto the food. What can I say? The food was absolutely phenomenal and full of flavor. Lucia worked with us to build a customized menu, from the ground up, that was unique to us. From our first tasting my wife and I were stoked about the food and couldn't wait for dinner. Needless to say, our guests are still raving about the food. My wife and I highly recommend An Affair to Remember Catering.

Hands down the best catering I have ever had the honor to consume! I do NOT say this lightly and…read morehave had catering from quite a few others. You can really tell there is some multi-generational love, talent, and passion to cook here. From the plating, presentation of the table, to mouth watering last bite, I was in love (with food) and cannot wait until they cater to our company events in the future. Such heart and warm smiles from Lucia and staff. you can see her face light up with pride as she watches the reaction on people's faces, someone who really puts everything into what she is doing, and it's all for you! Ever since the last time we used them, each other establishment we had cater or deliver, was a let down by comparison. Truly. You have nothing to lose by taking my word on this next part. TRY THE CANNOLI.

Bill from the Smoking Pit catered my wedding at Hydrangea Blu Barn and it was absolutely…read morephenomenal! We had chipotle bacon on a stick for an appetizer along with sausage and peppers and smoked chicken wings. For dinner we had pulled pork (amaze-balls!), smoked turkey and beef brisket. For sides we had corn on the cob, mac n' cheese, cheese potatoes (with bacon, amazing!) and homemade corn bread with honey butter. I thought I was going to bust out of my dress, I ate so much food. Everyone I talked to was raving about the food and going on and on about how it was the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding. Bill had his smoker on site so that the food came out fresh and he had amazing staff who kept the pans filled and the food hot. One thing I loved about Bill's set up was that he used a lot of marble and pedestals to create a beautiful buffet. This avoided the plane-Jane hotel pan look that you get with some other catered buffets. As far as price goes, Bill's pricing is very competitive compared to some other caterers in Grand Rapids. I want to have another wedding just so that I can have more barbecue. Thanks Bill for making my wedding extra awesome!

Very disappointed with this caterer. All was great until they released the head table, just to find…read moreout that there were no taco shells for our taco bar. They are refusing to refund any money besides the cost of the shells--which is way less than the amount that a guest (who had to leave venue) had to pay at a local grocery store--therefore I'm having to pay more to the guest than I'm getting refunded. They also packaged the bags so full that the bags busted open and the food was unusable. But they won't take responsibility for that either--as they "aren't responsible for food after they leave." I have never been so disappointed with a company.

Even before we decided to reschedule, we received an email from them stating they would be flexible with us if we needed to change the details of our event. That was such a huge weight off our shoulders. The food we've tasted has been so yummy, and part of the reason we're disappointed we had to reschedule is because we were really looking forward to the dinner at our wedding!
