Terrible. Went in for an ombré and the stylist parted my hair into two sections and only dyed the TOP half of my hair without telling me. She also didn't even dye my bangs. Still paid full price. Went here today to fix the hair I bleached at home it ended up really patchy and orangish and yellowy. Ended up deciding on a colour to fix it, Nataliia ended up doing an amazing job and made it look as if my hair never had the patchiness that it did. Joanne I'm pretty sure the owner there was very friendly and helpful and gave me samples to take home for my hair. Kinda pricey but definitely worth it for a friendly and over all good experience. I went to the Windermere location. It was my first time as well as it just opened not long ago. The salon is nice and clean, has modern feel. Victoria cut my hair. I like how she asked questions before she started shampooing. She took her time to make sure I am happy with my hair cut. A good hour is what you need for a good hair cut. I will come back next time when I need a hair cut! It is also very nice it is within walking distance and next to Starbucks! I'm not picky with hair cuts for as a female I never do anything drastic. So I can easily hop from hair dresser to hair dresser with no problem. I was excited to try this salon for the reviews were great and it was extremely close to my house. I called a Monday morning and was able to book the very same day. I was ecstatic. I got to the salon and no one greeted me. Just some smiles, so I sat down. The lady who I was assuming was my hair dresser didn't say anything but "I'm just finishing sweeping." Okay, not too upset, not the welcome I wanted but i didn't want to judge just yet. As the lady was done sweeping she called me to the chair and asked what I wanted. She didn't even introduce herself. I told her that I needed a small trim and wanted straight across bangs. She told me straight across bangs would look funny on me. Okay, I appreciate your honesty, but I'm already here and booked an appointment so what should I do? She told me she'd trim a bit and give something close to bangs that I could get so that I could play around with them still and style. So it wasn't the Change I wanted but I was still optimistic and excited. As the process began the lady barely made conversation. While washing my hair I made all the conversation and with that we still barely talked. We got to the chair were she still barely talked to me. Now I know not everyone's a talker but being a hairdresser you think you'd make some effort. I heard the other hairdresser happily yapping away to her clients. While I got the older mother who barely seemed happy to be there. She chopped away and made a comment saying "wow I barely have to cut anything" and I just smiled. Throughout my hair cut the phone was constantly ringing and barely answered. And considering the manager was there doing nothing you'd think he'd pick it up. I know not everyone can pick up every call but the phone was ringing frequently and no one was answering. It got quite annoying. And not only that the manager walked around the salon looking bored and annoyed. After my hair was cut my hairdresser told me that I should be happy because she didn't cut much. I looked at the ground and she was right. Barely any hair. She asked me what I thought about my bangs. And well I didn't have any it looked like. So I asked to cut some more. So she did. After she was done. It looked the same. But I was told if I cut more it would look funny. So I refrained. I thought okay a healthy trim is okay if I can't get what I want. As I went up to pay I got charged 65 bucks for a hair cut that pretty much looks the exact same as when I came into the salon. And going through my hair I still have many split ends and no bangs. With that money I could have easily bought alcohol and manage to get my money worth out of that then getting my hair "cut" Overall...Over priced and not friendly. read more

Having posted my original review about Christie has been bothering me since shortly after I wrote it over 2 years ago and therefore feel I need to rectify this with an update. After one expensive bad experience after another, I took my frustration out on the wrong stylist and owe her an apology. At the time of writing my original review, I wasn't overly happy with the highlights which looking back on it now, they really weren't that bad......just not quite as much color as I had wanted. I should have gone back and had it corrected but I allowed the mounted frustration with previous stylists the get in the way. I remember Christie as an excellent stylist and very friendly, she is also one of very few stylists out there that has the talent and skill to cut & texturize hair with shears as opposed to the dreaded thinning shears. I have not forgotten watching her skillfully cut/texturize my hair while telling me about her new Dyson hairdryer (which was also pretty awesome). When it comes to cutting hair, she really does get it. I can honestly say that in the 2+ years since I last saw Christie, none of the "master" stylists I have come across come close to her skill level. Val read more

Krista was knowledgeable about the cut and color I wanted, I didn't have a color booked but she was able to accommodate me which I very much appreciated. She told me all about the Kerastase product which sounds amazing. I really felt a sense of quality in the salon from the staff, product and customer service. I have been going here for about a year now. I have seen Krista and Anna. Both are talented and do a great job. The salon is clean and very nicely decorated. The only improvement would be to have clients change into robes to keep the hair out of their clothing. I tried the salon brand products and was not a fan, but I definitely recommend going for cut and colour. read more

I was thrilled when Fresh & Co opened this location in Windermere as it is substantially closer to my home than the Ellerslie location. Regardless, the service at both locations is always professional and pleasant and I appreciate the time and effort Magda spends with me ensuring that I am happy with my cut and colour, as well as her suggestions on how to keep my style looking fresh in between visits. The product line is also extensive and caters specifically to your needs, and the stylists are more interested in making sure you have the product right for you, rather than selling you the most expensive product on the market. Overpriced for no reason. It would be understandable if the price they charged was reflecting of what the hair looked like in the end. But this was not the case. They wash your hair abuseively and don't even ask you! Then they looked at my hair and said that since it was longer they would charge more. The price they mentioned in the beginning, they charged double that in the end. The hair wasn't even nice in the end, it looked like they literally cut one little strand of hair and charged me $100. I have been seeing Magda here for about a year now. I highly recommend her. She listens to what you want, takes her time cutting and styling and makes sure you are satisfied with the result. It may be a little more spendy than the other chains, but well worth it as her haircuts will last longer than the 4-6 weeks you usually get before having to return. The salon is very clean and well managed. The staff are friendly and make the best coffee, no need to go next door to Starbucks! When I first posted this, it said I was from San Fransisco, long way to come for a hair cut, lol, but I think Magda might be worth it. read more

I just had the best cut of my life with Aspen! She did a great job taking off a few inches of my hair and really making it healthier. My only complaint is the price which is just a bit steep for a student at $42. But overalls definitely the best! read more

I had my haircut last week and initially it looked okay. However, after a few days/washes, my bangs obviously needed to be trimmed more evenly. I went in today and they charged me $12.50 to do this! I will never go back to this salon. read more

Extremely overpriced. You also get charged for what you haven't asked for. They put something on you head to wash it and then charge you $36 for it without asking for your permission beforehand. Make sure as they talk to you just ask for the price, or just go to Forever Young across the street which has more ethical and reliable professionals. read more

DO NOT listen to the reviews. They are either fake or the people that wrote them are mental. It is by far the WORST salon I have ever been to and I have such low expectations to begin with. I was so excited to get my hair done and picked the best stylist they had (Krista). I told her to take my dark brown hair and dye it a medium brown ( a super easy request that most people could do with their eyes closed). She turned it even darker and made it red. So I went again to get it fixed and made myself very clear and stayed patient, kind and very apologetic for troubling her. She made my hair EVEN darker and turned it PITCH BLACK. I went in again and she treated me like absolute trash and refused to do anything about it and kept saying, "I did NOT turn it black, it is clearly brown!" Believe me when I tell you, it is PITCH BLACK. All of my friends and family said it looks ridiculous and cannot believe I spent $200. Save your money and time, and go somewhere else.
