Salmon avocado toast. Cream cheese was unnecessary, smoked salmon was just OK and it was hard to eat
Mark F.

3.5 stars is about right for this spot. I came in for a smoothie and salmon avocado toast. It's NY pricey and what I got was just OK. I got the berrylicious which was fine. Typical smoothie, not too sweet but not super well blended. The salmon avocado toast didn't need the cream cheese. Also, they cut the bread in half and then put everything on it so when you tried to eat it, everything fell off and it was awkward to eat. The bread was good and crunchy so that was a plus but otherwise not a place I would seek out unless I wanted to try something else.

RUN. Do not be fooled by the "fresh" in it's name. This F&C is anything but fresh. If food poisoning is high on your list this is the place for you. We ordered two salads (make your own), with shrimp ($48 for two salads at the equivalent of a McDonald's or any fast food place) and end up vomiting and having stomach issues all night due to food poisoning. Service is dismal. The people behind the counter (except the cashier) look like they are so miserable, it's no wonder the place isn't fresh (or air conditioned). With Chop'd two blocks away at the new Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station, and Sweetgreen a block away near WholeFoods, you have so many more options and places that 1) don't overprice or rather not tell you there are extra charges for items when they ask you to pick, 2) have a better selection of options or 3) have FRESH ingredients, as well as employees that seem happy to be there, you really need to go anywhere but here.

Good decent food and a quick grab. Bit overpriced, but given the area its in, it makes sense.

I visited F&C for lunch with a colleague while attending a trade show at the Javits. It's a traditional Salad chain with the "build your own" concept along with sandwiches and wraps. Service is average and a smaller dining area. We ordered salads and 2 drinks and were impressed with the various options. Food was fresh and a good size as well. Was was t good was the price : $63 dollars for 2 salads and 2 drinks. Naturally it is NY but it's a bit much as far as value for money . Nonetheless , a good option while attending trade shows.

Ordered a cheese omelet and a western omelet and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff are a bit fussy, but I guess thats NY for you. Canned and bottled drinks available for purchase.

Hot turkey & avacado- yum! Wish I could get another for my flight home tomorrow!

Had such a awesome quick sandwich tonight at Fresh & co. Tommy the manager says to me as he asked "for here or to go?" And I paused... cold, tired from the day and wanting to just slump down and finish my work- he says- "let me heat up your sandwich- have a seat, and enjoy your meal." That gentleman was so nice and so right, and what was supposed to be just a quick sandwich turned out to be this awesome find of fresh food, fresh avocado and Turkey and bread that had just the right crisp from the roasting. So here's to you Tommy - thanks for my awesome dinner! Side note- he and his team never stopped cleaning while I was there, this restaurant was spotless!

I was pleasantly…read moresurprised to find out they had a location in New York City, so I obviously had to give it a try. There are a few locations, but I decided to visit this one because it was the most convenient for getting to and from home. I got there around 7:00 PM, which felt a little close to closing time since Google said they close at 9:00 PM, but it wasn't busy at all. In fact, I was only the third customer to place an order. I ordered the La Summer sandwich and added pesto. After sitting down and taking my first bite, I immediately understood the hype. Without a doubt, this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time. I'm not even a huge sandwich person when it comes to subs and deli meats, but everything tasted incredibly fresh. The ingredients paired together perfectly, and you could still taste each one individually. The only thing I'd change next time is the meat. I had no idea prosciutto was a type of ham, but honestly, it didn't even taste like ham to me. It was sliced paper-thin, slightly salty, and worked surprisingly well with everything else. Next time, though, I'll probably add salami just to see how it compares. Overall, this sandwich was a solid 10/10, and I will absolutely be back--whether it's to try a different sandwich or, if we're being honest, order the exact same one again with salami added. I will say it's on the expensive side, but that's New York City for you. Apparently, all of the ingredients are flown in from Italy. After tax and tip, I paid a whopping $28 for a single sandwich. That said, it was incredibly filling and definitely kept me satisfied. The workers were also really nice and accommodating, and the indoor seating was beautiful. The atmosphere felt like a fancy Italian café, complete with couches and artwork throughout the space. I wish I had taken pictures, but honestly, I was too busy enjoying what might be the best sandwich I've had in years.

The menu inside breaks down all of the sandwhiches, you roll up to the deli counter when they say next, spill out your order (add/remove stuff to your order) and you're done. The most overwhelming thing is deciphering the Italian sandwhich menu. I hit up the Italian Hot. Pretty decent! I added sun dried tomatoes...but it would have been just as good without it. Be PREPARED this Sammie has some chili honey liquid /oil sauce they put on it and it's tasty but it's a lot. The staff are friendly - just focused on getting your order and getting it to you so you can enjoy. The wall is pretty interested they have made their own decor out of door panel fixtures.

The line was about 10 people long around 1pm, not terrible - gave me a chance to further investigate the menu and gaze at loads of drool-worthy meats and cheese in the display case. I opted for the L'italiana, which features Prosciutto, Pistachio Cream, Stracciatella, Sun-Dried Tomato, Arugula, though I swapped out the prosciutto for bresaola. Oh man, this bread is legit! And as a yuuuge pistachio fan, that cream is delightful, especially coupled with that creamy stracciatella. Super well-composed sandwich, amazing bread, quality ingredients...a hit! Needless to say, I'll be back in short order to try more of their menu. Good stuff!

I've been here a couple of times and my go-to Sandwich is the Tuna Salad. It's best to get some toppings when coming here for a sandwich such as cheese, bacon, bell peppers, pickles, etc. You can't come here and not get mayonnaise! There's so many different sandwiches to choose from. I noticed that salami, turkey, ham, and pepperoni are all popular sandwich options here. The lines tend to get very long here especially around lunch time. If possible, download the app and order your sandwich ahead of time. I haven't racked up enough points yet to get a free item. Apparently you get a free sub on/for your birthday. I noticed that a couple of workers here tend to get a bit flustered and unprofessional during the lunch rush; "I will quit right now, I don't care". Aside from that, it's a great place to get a satisfying meal for lunch or dinner.

This location, was absolutely not prepared to have this store in nyc. For New Yorkers that never had a sandwich from Jersey Mike's, this location will ruin the brand. I ordered a sandwich for pickup on a rainy night in the weekday, it literally took 1 hour for a cold sandwich that was missing parts of my order! Everyone waiting which was about 30 people were all visibly frustrated and angry. I missed my show because I couldn't even have predicted that ordering from a chain would take this long. They had 3 staff, 1 preparing not pickup orders and managing the register, one making orders with a stack of prepared orders whose names they weren't calling?!? Like how can you be this understaffed for a location like this. Getting someone to ask about your order was nearly impossible. Honestly, I feel bad for the staff working there since this is nyc and you deal with crazies, so one guy who waited 15 minutes getting heated I debated just finishing my sandwich at home because I didn't want to witness craziness Ok-actual sandwich was beyond a disappointment. They got it wrong and to get it fixed would have taken another hour that I didn't have. The bread was stale and cold and hard, there was veryy little meat. I basically ate a vinegar and vegetable sandwich on stale bread I could not picture working in the area and getting lunch here also paying $13 for this quality and chaos

We could walk to it form the hotel and it was in the middle off all we wanted to show the boys on their first day (first time) in the city. We all chose different sandwiches and they were ready pretty fast. Since the shop itself is not huge, we landed a small space at the window bar with two stools and some standing room. After being in a car and on a flight and in another car all morning, we weren't mad about the standing part. We were all able to share and sample each sandwich, and honestly, we were not disappointed. We were all full and happy when we weren't finished, so what more could we want for a relatively quick NYC meal? Being under the plaza, the restrooms were outside the shop but very close by so we were able to wash hands and such before journeying out into the wild. I would definitely stop back by again on another trip! The guys and I all gave Alidoro's two thumbs up - so 8 thumbs total, if you're counting.
