This was my first time dining at Fresco, and it won't be my last! Friends and I enjoyed Brussel sprouts with pancetta and a delicious balsamic glaze, along with coconut shrimp, and roasted eggplant wedges slathered with a rich red sauce and gooey cheese, as appetizers. House baked crusty bread was delicious dipped in their spicy olive oil! One of my friends had the special which was a shrimp scampi with a lobster tail on top. No complaints there! I and my other friend enjoyed the swordfish, which is a special cut, I believe in the cheek area, which comes bone in. So soft and tender, this cut melts in your mouth. There are many choices for sides. I stuck with Brussel sprouts and sauteed spinach. The risotto with peas also looked delectable. The beautiful yet simple decor was warm and inviting. My only disappointment was they were out of the dark chocolate with sea salt Gelato. I had the settle for a cappuccino chip Gelato. Yeah, right, settle. It was incredible. What made the evening spectacular was our attentive waitress, Ashley. She took care of us as though we were family. I'll be back very soon. If 10 stars were offered, I would check that box! First time to this Fresco location and we will be back! My husband and I ate at the bar tonight. Service was excellent! Audra is an awesome bartender! We had the risotto balls as an appetizer and they were SO good. The sauce was wonderful. My husband and I shared the chicken parm, risotto and eggplant rolllatini. All were really good, though my husband didn't love the risdoto (but I did!). All in all an excellent choice!! read more

Food was excellent as was the service, waiter was very attentive. The only issue that I have is that it was very loud. We were seated in the back room, as we were told that it is quieter. Very convenient location off Rt 2 for about a mile on Rt 3 (Cowesett Avenue); Restaurant is on the left. There is off street parking. This Restaurant is small but with a warm and friendly atmosphere. They serve seafood, Italian/Mediterranean type food, including pizzas. The portions are ample and most come with salad and/or in season vegetables and potato or rice. I had chicken piccata that was excellent. The service is fast and friendly. They also have a wine and drink menu. This is a great place to meet on a Friday night for drinks as they have a small bar. The prices are competitive to most good restaurants. If you choose a night out at Fresco's, be sure to make reservations and bring along your appetite. read more

I think the glowing reviews come from family and friends of the owners. Ate here once, about a year ago and it was over priced and unremarkable. Service was slow, food wasn't hot. I did not review it then but we recently decided to try take out. Worse eggplant we have ever eaten. Well, it was the worst eggplant we didn't eat. Thick slices, not cooked in the center and the sauce was overly sweet. We were up charged for the ravioli, there were 6 in the order. There are so many authentic Italian restaurants around, skip this one. read more

Horrible service. Took a long time to get water. Bread was hard as a rock. Ordered eggplant parm where I couldn't even slice through the eggplant with my knife. It was like rubber. My pasta was not cooked. Calamari had texture of an egg white from Dunkin' Donuts. Then had to send my food back. They offered me a salad. Which I accepted but I'm pretty sure they just chopped the core of the head of lettuce and served that to me. Valet guy was nice though. Although the keys to my car were on my tire and my car was unlocked. But he was cool. I guess my car didn't get stolen. read more

Celebrating the retirement of a coworker we chose Fresco for the locality and being opened on Monday's (where other restaurants are usually closed). We were a party of 9 and were seated comfortably all a one table. The food, drinks and of course dessert was impeccable and the service outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable and full of ideas when it came to the meals and offering helpful assistance. My wife and I went there and the food was terrible. Waitress did not have a clue. Never offered us anything even water. Was very overpriced and has a valet parking only and the lot is 10 feet from the door. This place is a joke. No atmosphere and for 130.00 for two people I can go to so many other great restaurants in RI. read more

The female waitress has a loud voice that conflicts with the small space and is irritating. Other wait staff were friendly and not one said "How are you Guys Doing" which is a phrase other Fresco locations avoid as well. I have been to all of the fresco restaurants. In fact, Friday night I was at restaurant in EG . We sat at the bar and had the nicest bartender. We ate apps and had drinks and it was delicious. Last night I was at the West Warwick restaurant. What a different experience. The food was awful. I ordered chicken piccata. The two tiny pieces were was too thick and tasted like rubber. They were not browned...almost like they were boiled. The sauce was thick and bland. I believe this is my last time to go to this restaurant. read more

I don't know what was worse, the food or the service. The fish smelled, my salad was rotten and so was the waitress. She never came back to ask how the food was and her defense was that she came back to give me dressing. I guess I blew the opportunity to complain. Portions were small and pricey. We've eaten at Fresco several times before and have always enjoyed the food and the value. Due to the pandemic we've become sensitive as to how the staff of restaurants we've been to have been observing cleanliness and the wearing of face mask protocols. So far we've been satisfied with how the places we've been to have handled things. Upon our arrival at Fresco last evening we were greeted by a host whose mask was not covering his nose as it should have been. The waitstaff indoors could be seen correctly wearing their masks covering their noses and mouths. We had to wait a few minutes for our porch table to be ready after the previous diners left. We saw the metal table given a very cursory wipe down before we were seated, that should have been done a lot more thoroughly. When our waitress approached she had a face mask on but the way she wore it she might as well not have been. It was loosely fit, her nose was uncovered and she kept pulling it down so her mouth was uncovered as she stood over our table and talked to us. Not good. Our drink order was taken, 15 minutes later our drinks came out, we had to ask for bread. While we were waiting for our drinks and food we saw several people being allowed to enter the restaurant who were not wearing masks and were not carrying one to be donned when they went in. I did not notice any signs on the doors requiring patrons to wear masks as I've seen at every other food service establishment that I've been to since the state has started to re-open. The shoddy sanitary procedures and fair service will make me think twice before returning to Fresco. The food was fine when it came out, so no complaints there. read more

Went early on a Saturday night. Great little restaurant, nice remodel. Started getting busy as soon as we sat ordered a lychee martini and a shocktop. Waiter was good drinks arrived timely and specials recited. Something a little off on my martini. Couldn't place the taste and then realized at the end of my drink as i went to eat the "lychee" it was really a pearl onion. That was gross. But anyways a good laugh waiter brought the 2nd martini with the same garnish i had to tell him whoever it was that garnished that was definitely not a lychee. The bread was delicious as well as the oil and grated cheese . We had calamari app with balsamic. You could pick from 3 sauces or choose all 3 It was good. I had the tuna tartar tower for an entree Great taste but should have been colder. He got the pasta special which should have been hotter. All in all a very good meal. We will be back read more

We tried this restaurant for the first time last night. Our waiter was superb. The bread and dipping oil were a nice start. For appetizers we enjoyed the stuffies and highly recommend the filet appetizer as well. The entrees of chicken and eggplant melanzane and chicken picatta were delicious. The service was,slow but our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is small and noisy, air conditioner was on high making it uncomfortably cold. We had calamari for an appetizer. It was soggy, as the marinara was served on it rather than on the side. Our dinners were good, nothing to write home about! My husband had the salmon special and I had the hiuse made ricotta gnocchi. The food was exceptionally good and our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant is rather small and a bit noisy. Would recommend the rigatoni Bolognese and the veal marsala. Food was good but they charge east greenwich prices in west warwick. In addition to the pretty pricey prices, my wife wanted to sub pink vodka sauce on her veal parm dish and they said its an up charge. When the bill came, they charged extra for the subbed sauce on the pasta and the veal and everything was on one plate. It was only an extra $2.00, but come in! Really? With the prices they are charging do they really need to up charge for the sub sauce? read more

We have been going here for a while...until tonight. We ordered pizzas and were told 20 minutes later that they had no more pizza crust and could offer us 1 pizza. I asked if we could at least get an entree at the same price as the pizza and she said, "I can't do that; just pick something off the menu". I asked to speak to the manager but surprisingly, she was the manager. Everyone else there is great....she has an awful attitude and as not accommodating at all. We were also going to buy a $100 gift card, but did not and will not be returning nor will we continue to recommend Fresco on Cowesett Ave. as long as their current manager works there.
