I got there early to fill out forms and my masseuse was waiting for me with good energy. She took her time to ask me questions and get to know what I wanted out of this experience. I asked for a deep tissue... and I definitely got that plus more. I felt like I was beat up (in a good way). She got in every crevice of my neck, back, shoulders and arms and worked out every kink that was present. We started around 6:50 or so and she went over to 8:15. I was only scheduled for an hour massage but she worked on me until I was complete. (Who doesn't love extra massage time?) Would I go back? Most definitely!!! Alex was my massage therapist and he was very professional and courteous. This wasn't the regular run-of-the-mill massage (they get boring and monotonous!). Alex takes the time before the massage to go over any ailments you may have and goes over possible massage approaches that may help. For example, I experience frequent headaches/migraines, so he did some facial massage work. We also did some breathing techniques during the course of the 90 minutes. The heat of the hot rocks was a nice addition and really soothed my muscles. I walked out of there feeling better than I have in weeks. He also takes the time to talk to you after the massage to tell you what he noticed during it, and what to do different to feel better in daily life. Then I met Alex. He is respectful, knowledgeable, kind, generous and a terrific practitioner. His only fault may be that he cares more about your well-being than you probably do. He really wants you to do your part in keeping your body happy so he will make observations and suggestions that you can use to maximize your health. The suggestions are reasonable and doable. If you participate you'll make strides, if not you'll just enjoy a great massage and get some temporary relief. He studies and practices true therapeutic massage. Do you want to feel better? Open to feedback. Kind. Organized. Affirming. I can't say enough- we've talked about more than massages. She's a great person to be around. More than that, she's the best at her craft. I started going pregnant but can't see not going after the baby and beyond. For us, it's an investment financially in my mental health and well being. It's not super cheap.
