Open to feedback. Kind. Organized. Affirming. I can't say enough- we've talked about more than massages. She's a great person to be around. More than that, she's the best at her craft. I started going pregnant but can't see not going after the baby and beyond. For us, it's an investment financially in my mental health and well being. It's not super cheap. Alex was my massage therapist and he was very professional and courteous. This wasn't the regular run-of-the-mill massage (they get boring and monotonous!). Alex takes the time before the massage to go over any ailments you may have and goes over possible massage approaches that may help. For example, I experience frequent headaches/migraines, so he did some facial massage work. We also did some breathing techniques during the course of the 90 minutes. The heat of the hot rocks was a nice addition and really soothed my muscles. I walked out of there feeling better than I have in weeks. He also takes the time to talk to you after the massage to tell you what he noticed during it, and what to do different to feel better in daily life. If you participate you'll make strides, if not you'll just enjoy a great massage and get some temporary relief. He studies and practices true therapeutic massage. Do you want to feel better? Do you want to move forward with more knowledge? Do you want a partner in your striving for good health? Then Alex is your guy. If you want a fluff and buff go to someone else. She practices a variety of techniques, and is terrific at communicating with her clients. She is able to sense which areas need more attention, and she is really good at what she does. She has a studio in her home, with relaxing lighr music, and a really good massage table. If I were to recommend a family member or a friend to a massage therapist, it would be to Theresa.
