While this building is beautiful I question the understanding of the young lady who was sitting at the help desk. My husband and I signed up for a class on "Trusts" which was being held here. After the seminar I asked if they held any classes here like knitting, crafting, or crochet and the answer was no. I then asked how to start something like that and was told she wasn't sure but I could schedule an appointment with the Librarian to talk about it. This is something that all employees should be aware of. Either way, the facility is beautiful and very clean. I just was not happy that she wasn't aware of their calendar or how to go about getting those classes started.

I.E. this guy in the library to do his private tutoring & busnez, which makes a public nuisance and taking so loud which disturbing.

This library is a public entity and suppose to be like a library not a public park. The kids come and play with loud voice. the manager quoted: "this is public library, if you are coming tomorrow, don't come because we will have more kids and they are making noise." The staff joking around very loud and if you look at them; they will reply with obnoxious way to those who come here to study. I want to request from management or board of directors to make a good policy for the management and staff. It is public library not public school and not private tutoring class as well.

The new French Valley Library is clean, large and full of books!! We love coming here when passing through Winchester. The children's section is very large with computers the kids can use. Also it can feel a bit nostalgic walking through the aisles of DVD rentals! Brings me back to Blockbuster Video vibes. Also, in the RivCo library system, books can be returned at any RivCo location which is so convenient!

The librarians are helpful, the library itself is clean and nice. I am also able to reserve a book online and pick it up from this library.

We attended the "animal talk" with guests LLC Reptile this month and the employee refused to use a microphone for over half an hour because he legit said "he's never used one before and didn't know how it worked" and with way too many kids and parents packed in that room, you couldn't hear anything. Library employees let it get out of hand, let children stand up so everyone behind them couldn't see and just couldn't control the noise level. It wasn't a fun experience and my kids begged to go half way through because it was just talking and barely any interaction. This is just feedback that you can hopefully take to improve on your next event. PLEASE think about passing out tickets (like the other locations) to control how many people can enter. We were there waiting 30 minutes prior, reading inside and we were almost the last ones in because we didn't know a mob had already formed blocking the entire entrance. The sad part was your entire parking lot was packed and vehicles were parked up and down the street for this event and all I heard were kids and parents complaining that they couldn't see/hear anything. We've also been to a craft day where because we sat at a back table, they ran out of the craft before they got to us which is strange since there weren't that many people there. Again, think about being more prepared or just limit how many people can join an event so everyone can have fun and feel included.

There is no where else you can live for this low price but high value in Southern California. I enjoy the pool -always heated--, clubhouse with a great library, free rv parking, free golf---great course with 9 holes but it is marked to double play 18. When I did sell real estate my clients were happy. I retired 4 years ago. I love my neighbors, it is pet friendly and there is wilderness to walk dogs. Homes , yards, streets and clubhouse are maintained. They installed solar to keep costs down in clubhouse. Pool is heated with solar and back up electric. Nice jacuzzi and saunas also. This is an over 55 community but grandkids are allowed to swim 10 to 2 everyday and all day on holidays. My grandkids love it. There are pool tables, craft rooms, music room, party and kitchen, and lots of nice friendly people. As of today 6/2018 the monthly association fee is 100- a month. You own your land and your manufactured home. You can even live right on the golf course if you like that. I prefer a quiet interior street with a great view of the hills and a nice afternoon breeze that comes in almost everyday at 4. I spend lots of time on my porch and my garden. I have grapes, blackberries, blueberries, lots of tomatoes and lots of flowers. Come visit us if you would like to see this lifestyle. Bring your realtor or check out signs in our community. I am going to live here forever because this is where I choose to live. Close enough to my kids but far enough that they call before they visit.

But due to work, I have only been able to take a few classes throughout the years. But I do love the variety of classes that they offer and how constant their schedule is. If you are looking for a Japanese school for your child to attend, they offer that. If you would like to just learn more about the community through the different cultural classes, just sign up for the emails and you can be alerted for upcoming classes that they offer. I've taken amigurumi (crochet), ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement), and a cooking class. All of the instructors are great and mostly volunteers. So it just shows you what a great community there is. They have festivals through the year and also help put on the West Covina Cherry Blossom Festival. They also host the West Covina obon at the center but it is organized by the Buddhist church which is based out of the community center. So there is just a lot of activities that you can get involved with.
