Love this little library! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Don't forget patient--we older folks sometimes need a lot of patience.

I came in to take my nephews to get their first library card and was told about the free lunch…read more They didn't finish their lunch so we were going to take the rest with us but we were told we couldn't take it and had to throw it away. That just seemed incredibly wasteful. Beautiful library and nice activities.

This isn't for the library itself, but it is for the activities that they host at their library…read more We've gone to a few where my children have been disappointed. We attended the "animal talk" with guests LLC Reptile this month and the employee refused to use a microphone for over half an hour because he legit said "he's never used one before and didn't know how it worked" and with way too many kids and parents packed in that room, you couldn't hear anything. Library employees let it get out of hand, let children stand up so everyone behind them couldn't see and just couldn't control the noise level. It wasn't a fun experience and my kids begged to go half way through because it was just talking and barely any interaction. This is just feedback that you can hopefully take to improve on your next event. PLEASE think about passing out tickets (like the other locations) to control how many people can enter. We were there waiting 30 minutes prior, reading inside and we were almost the last ones in because we didn't know a mob had already formed blocking the entire entrance. The sad part was your entire parking lot was packed and vehicles were parked up and down the street for this event and all I heard were kids and parents complaining that they couldn't see/hear anything. We've also been to a craft day where because we sat at a back table, they ran out of the craft before they got to us which is strange since there weren't that many people there. Again, think about being more prepared or just limit how many people can join an event so everyone can have fun and feel included.

The library is clean and quiet but the children's section currently leaves something to be desired…read more There could be more board books however my biggest complaint is over the kids computers. There are 4 kids computers and my daughter waited 30 minutes for one to free up. When I spoke to the desk they said the children are allowed to use the AWE Learning computers for a full hour. Back in LA where I'm from, the computer gives you a 20 minute timer then asks you to log off. Not only do kids not need an hour of straight screen time when they're surrounded by books, but 4 computers is too small for a library full of children. If even 8 children come and go in one hour, that's half the kids who can't play. If this is resolved I don't think I'd have much of an issue. The staff's been very friendly (so so kind) and the area is very well maintained. It's honestly just the policy that needs an adjustment.

It would also be great if their study and meeting rooms had roofs on them to keep it more soundproof so that people on the outside don't have to hear some random child learning how to read the word "popsicle"

What a beautiful, interesting, large, and well-stocked library. As a retired librarian, I've made…read morea habit of checking out libraries wherever I go. This one was a shear delight. It was a very busy place, on a hot day, with many, many patrons studying, reading, hanging out. It is one branch of the vast 35-branch Riverside County Public Library system. Ample parking, the parking slips butt up against a thoughtfully designed walkway with signage telling you about the history of Temecula. Once inside the library, there is a beautiful mosaic-mural depicting sea-to-outer space, perhaps a nod to what all is in store for the curious patron. The Children's Area is decorated with dozens of stuffed animals atop the book cases. There are painting on the walls. Lots of visual stimulation. But, if you need some calm, further in the library, there is a whole window wall with comfortable seating overlooking a vast valley. Almost every shelf had an intriguing book on display front facing. Books that my library in San Diego does not own...yet. If it weren't so far from my home, I would get a library card (yes, with a CA id, this is possible, and free), and check out some of those great books.

We've always had such great support and customer service. They have great events, wish I could attend all of them on the events calendar. They also usually have the books that we are looking for and placing holds on books doesn't take very long until we get to borrow them. Books are in good condition but you can also tell when a book is well loved, which doesn't bother me at all.
