This is our favorite and go-to library for me and my family. I love coming here, the kids area is so welcoming and it's hard to peel away my kid from here - a good sign! We've always had such great support and customer service. They have great events, wish I could attend all of them on the events calendar. They also usually have the books that we are looking for and placing holds on books doesn't take very long until we get to borrow them. Books are in good condition but you can also tell when a book is well loved, which doesn't bother me at all. read more

This is a beautiful and huge library. They have security, a large parking lot, access to the skatepark from their driveway, kids corner, computers and so many books. They have drop boxes outside as well if you don't have time to return your books. The employees were kind and the bathrooms were clean. read more

I thought public libraries were downtown, but as the directions took me to this wonderfully situated structure with sweeping vistas and commanding views of the valley, especially early sunrise and the hot air balloons rising, I quickly unloved the parking lot, but that's a minor caveat for an otherwise fantastic facility. Run-on, yeah. Inside it's as modern as I've seen. Just the nifty hi-tech book sorting mechanism behind the circulation desk was impressive, and probably very convenient for the librarians assigned to restock books. I found the huge reading area with the panoramic views to be my favorite spot, despite my duties operating an 11-day Vote Center for the county. I took the advice from Katie, a very nice librarian, to have lunch in the little courtyard accessible from the quiet room in back, or the awesome children's area (more on that later). Just don't exit the courtyard from the gate to the outside, and set off the alarm. Yeah, my bad, sorry. Also impressive was the genealogy research room with a selection of reference books and some computers. Many of the staff deserve honorable mention, and I apologize for not remembering everyone's names, but many thanks to Marlo and Ginger. Ginger is the one who brought the children's section up to exceptional specs, and currently manages the entire facility. I also was very appreciative of the vast space alloted for the voting center and the wonderful kitchen area. Thank you everyone! read more

My 1st time in here even though the college boy has been coming here the past 6 months. There's a library down the street from our home, but this location opens at 10am on Saturdays so we chose this one (even though it's like 13 miles away). And yes, I spent all day here from 10-5pm!! It's beautifully located right above Ronald Reagan Park. I say this bc the view is breathtaking!! You could see the 15 fwy and most of the Temecula Valley from here. Inside is huuuge.... there is a separate "Children's Library", lots of private study rooms, and also an area where you could eat your snacks (there are 2 vending machines). There are also several computer stations and work tables (if you have your laptop). Convenient outlets to charge your laptop on the floor, usually under the tables. Lots of chairs to sit comfy and read a good book. The bathrooms are clean and roomy with lots of stalls (only bad thing about the bathrooms is that they use prison paper lol). Staff are very nice and helpful. Overall, this is a very nice library and I got a lot done. Highly recommend if you need to get things done (which is my life the next 4 weeks lol). There's Wi-Fi as well, so you could study or do whatever you need to do! There are rooms you could buy as well and it's soundproof, so if you need more of a space for others or just yourself-- you can get one of those! :) I hope to come back soon. read more

It's an inviting place to study. Sometimes it is quiet. They have a great selection of books and DVDs to rent, especially the kids' section. They also have free kids' events almost daily during the weekdays. The staff is helpful and will direct you where to find what you're looking for. A con would be you have to rent the study rooms. This library is such a Temecula gem! It's a spacious beautiful space in a great location with gorgeous views. The people who work here are so friendly and helpful. When we first moved here at the start of the pandemic, I loved the option of getting a library card online to check out ebooks. This Temecula branch is part of the Riverside County library system which gives access to an amazing number of books, ebooks, audio books and countless other resources. I look forward to bringing our grandkids in to see the wonderful children's area the next time they visit! In browsing the community calendar, I'm amazed at all the events and activities they have for children. Also, I'm excited that they encourage genealogical research by having dedicated computers with access to ancestry.com, as well as a collection of genealogical books. Up until now, I've exclusively used the CloudLibrary app to download free ebooks and audio books, but with a week of rain in the forecast, I may just visit to relax and enjoy this wonderful community gem in person! read more

Am just getting to know this library but I like it so far quite a bit. The children's area is especially unique, with a big room for the kids' activities with high ceilings and windows, and even a tunnel too! I am excited to check out the kids' events and activities, as they have several going on every week. The employees were nice when I went by to get a library card and explained their policies well. By far my favorite library I've been to. Super clean and spacious, with plenty of seating and study rooms. You do need a library card to reserve a study room and it's on a first come, first serve basis. I typically will have to wait ~2-2.5 hrs for a room, which is fine to me because I will usually be there for much longer than that. You also have a time limit of 2 hours to be in a room. The bathrooms are very clean and is larger than your typical library bathroom, as there is many stalls. They do an amazing job at keeping things clean and stocked. The library also offers a quiet room, which is great for when you want complete an absolute silence to focus. There's also an outdoor area that you can hangout at if you are tired of being inside. The views along the side of the library are beautiful, and I also love that there are comfortable couches to lounge at if you're uncomfortable from sitting on the wooden chairs. Although this library is pretty out of the way for me, I still come to it. read more

What a Gem! Never have I ever imagined what a wonderful adventure this place would be! I recently started taking my 5 year old and we can not get enough. Books galore marked for appropriate age level and even a little play area. Plenty of computers for her to play educational games. The use of the check in and out system is so cool! I love how there is also an outdoor area for when the weather is warm enough. Greeted with smiles and the workshops got kids are an extra special touch! Thank you for keeping the nostalgic mixed with our new age in this place. When your walking along the sidewalk you'll see the history of Temecula right in front of your path amazing! I love love love this library. It really feels like home When I'm here. Very clean, organized, staff are amazing. Atmosphere there makes you want to study and get work done. They have a lot of places for students to study. Private rooms which you can reserve for two hours with your library card. They have the quiet room which has a big table and chairs. I prefer to study where you can see the park and the view. Usually those spots are always filled but you can wait until somebody leaves to get a good spot. This place is amazing! Everyone who works at this library is so sweet. We come for the children's story time every Wednesday or Thursday. It lasts about 30 minutes and we do songs, stories and dancing. My daughter absolutely loves it here. They work very hard on community activities and things to join in on year round for all ages. Don't forget to get your library card! I like it here but prefer Grace Mellman. They have a nice bookshop for their older or no longer needed books which is pretty cheap. I don't love the inside, can be hard to find what you're looking for and the computers only say if the books are in or out. They have a lot of rooms you can reserve! Pretty busy, not a ton of places to sit. Self check-out is great. Not a beginner friendly library but a ton of books and a good location if you've been to other libraries before and know how it works. They have a lot of stuff for kids. read more

Excellent Library with lots of desk areas with outlets. Most of them were next to windows which was amazing. Only wish there was another water fountain as I had to leave my stuff unattended a few times throughout the day, but that's obviously nothing they could change anytime soon. The last time I was at any library was when my second Grandson was born, in 2012. He is 3 now. My husband and I were invited to check this place out, by our neighbor. We followed her and we're glad we did, as we thought the only library in Temecula was the little one near public health off Ynez and Winchester. This library is located way up in the heart of Temecula. Pretty country scenic like view... The staff was great. The building state of the art. It was really beautiful. My Grandson stayed for both 10 and 11 am story times with Miss Ginger. We absolutely loved her and how she creates a cozy and comfortable atmosphere for the children. I checked out some Dr.'Seuss books and was informed that I could drop them off at any Riverside library. I signed up for emails and texts to remind me of date dues.! I can add extensions on checked out books, online. That has probably always been the case, but Library clerk, Cherry, really explained in detail, how convenient they are. She was professional and friendly. I can totally understand why I would drive from Murrieta to this library to conduct business. Thank you for such a pleasant experience. read more

I absolutely love this library. They have so many study spots to choose from: study rooms with white boards and tables, which you can reserve for up to 2 hours; a quiet room (a.k.a. the adult only room) with a long table and comfy armchairs; a children's area; tables that can seat 2-6 people, and armchairs scattered throughout. They also have a small outdoor area with benches and fountains in case you like to study outdoors or take a break. My favorite spot is anywhere alongside the open-view window that gives you a great view of Temecula. I have yet to find another library quite as nice as this one. Only complaint is that it closes at 5 PM on weekends. Other than that, this is definitely my go to place in Temecula for studying! read more

My heaven should look like the Temecula library. The best part of the library design is the north side of the building which is a complete wall of windows overlooking the Temecula Valley. Let me also mention of Temecula history timeline in the parking lot. My daughter and I love to park at the end of the lot and read all the historical facts about our fine town. As a functional library, there are study rooms, conference rooms, genealogy center, CD and DVD selections to rent, kids area, computer terminals with free internet as well as free WiFi. There is self check-out if you are in a hurry as well as a full staff of helpful employees. There are contests and reading incentives for the youth of the Valley. I love the system of searching for a book and you can easily place a book on hold or request it from another library. The holds can be placed from the terminals in the library or by logging on to their website from home. They will call you or e-mail you when your book is ready for pick-up. Pay a visit to the Temecula Public Library. Save yourself some money and also find some new books, movies, or CD's to break out of your favorite genres. read more

The bookstore has great bargains; they charge a lot less than many other libraries. They often have bag sales and you can get a lot of adult books for under a dollar each. It was my first time visiting this library last Friday morning, and I was really disappointed with my experience. Many of my friends gush about how beautiful this library is, which it is... it's gorgeous and clean. That's the only reason I'm giving it two stars. Minus three stars because of their study room policy. A friend from my study group and I arrived around 11:00am for a room. We put our names on the wait list and were given one of those restaurant devices that tell you when your table is ready. We got our room at 11:20 knowing we would have two hours. Another person from our study group joined us halfway through our time around 12:30. We felt we needed more time to study, so we asked to be put on the wait list for another room. Even though there were empty study rooms, they still said no. We even had another friend who showed up late to ask for a room and wait outside until the new room was available, but then the lady working the desk said that we (the people using the study room now couldn't use the new room with her and she'd have to study by herself). That makes absolutely no sense to me. If you have empty rooms, and no wait list, why wouldn't you let a group of students extend their time to study? Why would you make it so hard for a group of students to study together? It really frustrated me. Never coming back here, it's better to study at Starbucks (at least their wifi doesn't suck). read more

Here's why I'm rating this library so low for 2 reasons. *Difficult to find parking spot - Since too many people are flocking to this library because "it's so beautiful", it's becoming really difficult to find a parking space. Usually I visit this place around 1PM, and the parking lot is almost filled up. *Wi-fi is SLOW - The majority of the people come here for the FREE wi-fi. Once you walk inside, you'll see 1 person per table using their laptops, and it irritates me when no one is sharing tables (SHARING IS CARING, BITCHES). This leads to the wi-fi being so very slow for people who are coming in the late afternoon. It's best to come here early.... VERY EARLY. For now, I'm never coming back to this library. read more

The facility is very modern, bright, and welcoming! I just love spending time reading books and magazines in the comfy seats by the large floor-to-ceiling windows (which showcase a spectacular view)! There's also a myriad of computers all around the different sections of the library, and they are free to use for two one-hour sessions each day with your library card number and pin. I'm also a fan of the self-checkout machines and the easy, automated return slot. Overall it's a very beautiful and clean library. :) read more

I'm staying in Temecula for a while so I needed to find the library. Long Beach is too far to go for a library, especially how often I go so I needed to find out where one was. A quick search found this one. Good rating and about 4 miles away from where I'm staying. Yay!! So I head over. I found a parking spot but there was a jerk in the parking lot who made annoying. He was a little punk, surprised he was old enough to drive. Apparently he was going into one of the community rooms for something and decided to wait in his car. Not so bad except he got in the back seat on the passenger side of his car and stuck his door into the open spot next to him. He refused to let anyone park and kept it there. Someone even asked to park there and he told them to F off (I was behind the lady that asked so I heard every word). Other then that the experience I had was nice. It was a huge, nice library. A lot to take in the first time (maybe even after that). I needed a card because I have never had one in Temecula or the county. I get it done and everyone was very nice and helpful. The lady chatted with me while she was getting my information in and answered me questions. She gave me a good rundown of the policies on renewals and what they offer. I went to look up a book I wanted today but they didnt have it. I asked a lady because I couldnt tell if they had it in or not and she was very nice and helpful. Explained how the readout worked and everything. I put a request in to get it. She said usually 2-5 days but with Christmas I was probably going to have to wait longer. Understandable. The hours are AMAZING! They close earlier on the weekends, but for weekdays stay open until 10! And they are open everyday! That is way better then Long Beach after our budget cuts. Tons of computers for public use that you can use for an hour a day. Not something I need right now, but good to know! Then the card catalog computers you can use as much as you like. It's quiet and a very nice, friendly environment. I would completely recommend. I can see myself getting lots of enjoyment out of this library :) read more

Has one of the best locations in temecula. You see it from the park below and marvel at the lovely building. Staff is welcoming and will answer any questions that may come their way.
