Juliet was truly the Fairy Godmother of my wedding in helping to adjust my first dance dress literally 5 days before the wedding. She has all my respect for her excellent craftsmanship and words cannot describe how thankful I am to have found her. Not to mention she is a complete joy of a human being. Oh, and her husband (who runs the shop with her) is not too shabby either. I had to get a first dance dress super last minute and it came in the mail extremely ill-fitting on the top even though I had given the company my exact measurements. Basically, I could not wear it. I was contemplating going to a bridal shop and getting fitted for another dress when we ended up with Juliet and she promised she could help us. She was very speedy and our visit was quick and efficient. The day before my wedding, she presented to me a dress that looked like I had it custom made. It was exactly how I envisioned and perhaps even better. And just so everyone knows, she used to work for Chanel and continues to custom design and hand make wedding dresses. So all the soon-to-be-brides out there take note and pay her a visit if you are considering a customized dress!!! read more

They do an amazing job, turning something unwearable to something you love to wear , they turn something cheap looking into something that looks expensive. A boring garment turns into one that makes you feel good . read more

No matter where I live in the world, I ONLY bring my clothes to Juliet. These negative reviews are BS. These people don't appreciate quality. This woman can tailor ANYTHING. Including LEATHER. I love her to the moon. She worked for Gabrielle (Coco) Chanel. Even when I buy dresses at Dior - where they offer FREE TAILORING by their in-house atelier, I STILL BRING MY ITEMS TO JULIET because she is the best. This family business has been in Pinecrest since the 80's. No business could have lasted this long without being TOP NOTCH. They have been hired as the exclusive atelier for high end luxury designers since forever. Facts. read more

Really loved this husband and wife team at French Juliet Tailor. I'm relatively new to the area and hadn't established a relationship with a tailor yet. Friends didn't have anyone to recommend so I completely relied on Yelp for this one. Thankfully, the yelp community didn't disappoint! Their location was easy enough to find and had parking along side the building (always appreciated in Miami). I needed a bridesmaid dress to have a minor alteration because the one shoulder needed to be taken in. They charged me appropriately and had the dress ready exactly when they said it would be. Everything fit like a glove and the dress looked beautiful at the wedding. I will absolutely be back for any alterations I may need. read more

This business is one of a kind, a gem that stands out among the many tailors around Miami. The experience and knowledge that this establishment provide goes beyond the expectations of the average tailor. Various decades of professional work in top tier tailoring and designing names condensed into a mom & pop tailor shop that can transform whatever you bring into whatever you need. The price is fairly high, but the quality is second to none; you are truly getting what you paid for. They give you their recommendation from their experience, and price everything out for you according to what you need and desire, so there are no surprises there. Beyond the quality and the knowledge that comes with visiting the establishment, one of the stand-out experiences is the warmth and care that can only come from a small establishment that remembers the name of each client, and makes sure that the work is truly tailored to their needs. If you have any doubt, are looking for personal attention to your garment, or care about getting the best quality Miami can offer, please visit French Juliet Tailor. read more

Claude Albert is the sweetest French gentleman who also happens to be a tailor that I've ever met. I've gone to him for a hemming and an alteration and both times his service has been speedy, accurate, and SO affordable. Pants hem- 10 bucks Blouse alteration-10 bucks His business is run by the rest of the family and sometimes they don't always get your information but it's a small hiccup to deal with when you're taking your clothes to a perfect Frenchman. This is how much I trust Claude; I'm taking my wedding dress to him. Parking at his location is minimal but there's never "no parking." The location is a bit difficult to turn into from US-1 but not impossible. Expect quick service. No appointment necessary. read more

I didn't have the best experience here. I actually took my garment and left. I was hoping to get a wedding dress made out of vintage lace material. It was already shaped like a basic dress but just needed some altering. After I waited some time for someone to help me, I was told to put it on in the fitting room. There was loud noise going on outside, some girls and a family owned business. Afterwards, I waited, and waited. Finally about 10 minutes later of waiting around the fitting room, the young man came to help me again. He asked what I wanted once more, I showed him the picture of an altered dress how i wanted it to be. He yelled for his mom to come see. She came and looked at the dress and kind of said she could do it? But when I asked about the fabric and it being vintage - she couldn't really help and snapped at me that she isn't a laundromat, how would she know. But then she said she doubted anything could be done about dying or cleaning the fabric. So I took off the dress and as I was checking out, spoke to the man alone. He offered some help, kind of apoligizing for her behavior, saying that if I took it to a cleaner first, they could probably help me and then bring it back for $60 of alterations. But I was turned off and decided to go with another approach altogether. And in the future, I'd rather take my clothes somewhere else instead. read more

Got a better tailor with quality precision for much less. Your place is very expensive, there are many others out there that are just as good or better for an affordable price. read more

I took my unfinished jeans to be hemmed and they did a lazy, poor job. I had an identical pair of jeans done somewhere else a year later and the difference was very clear. I'll post a side by side pic. Price was the same for both but only one was done professionally. If they can't do an original hem ona pair of jeans then I wouldn't trust them for anything more complicated. read more

French Juliet Tailor - On the left is the well done pair of jeans. On the right side is the pair they did with extra cloth folder over and loose thread - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Miami, Florida

They're probably worth a five star review, but I haven't actually tried the pants on since I picked them up the other day. I'm hedging my bet a little. I've driven past here a million times, never filing it away in the back of my mind. So when I needed a tailor (been awhile and I didn't want to go back to the other place), I Yelped it. Then it hit me, "Oh yea, the place between the Keg and Austin's Dive Shop." Never have I been able to wear a pair of pants right off the shelf. Jeans, sure. The potholes born from flip-flops are something of a Purple Heart for the heels. The whole process was about 10 minutes. $10 for 10 minutes. I walked in on a Friday afternoon, put on the pants, they were pinned and I changed back. The woman who pinned me was very polite. She asked me if the length looked good. I was superficially respectful back, reminding her that she was the professional. While I'm thinking little does this woman know that my preferred method of tailoring is more of an erosion process. Less than a week later and ahead of the pick-up date that I was given, I had the pants in hand. So an uptick in stars may be needed. We'll have to see how the gamble pays off. Really though it's a win-win. Either they're too long and need further hemming or they're too short and work well with dress-flops. read more

I brought in a very expensive woman's tuxedo jacket to have the sleeves adjusted. They quoted and charged, in advance, $197 to shorten the sleeves and promised it would be ready by Jan 8th (3 weeks, granted, it was a holiday week). When we came to pick it up on the 11th it had not even been started! No call, no apology, just returned the money and handed us the jacket. We then took the jacket to another tailor and she did a wonderful job on the jacket and 2 pair of slacks for $83 and it took a week. I do not recommend this shop and will never return. read more

Store is no longer in business. They have a sign on the door that they aren't taking new orders. :(

Juliet did an amazing job with alterations on my bridesmaid dress for my sister in laws wedding. She was patient and did 3 appointments to make sure I felt comfortable in the dress. She also suggested adding some cups to the front of the dress which made it even more comfortable for me. Her and her husband are not only incredibly sweet but also talented! They worked in NYC for years and it shows in their work and work ethic. I thought their price point was also reasonable considering the level of service and results. I would recommend calling ahead as Juliet does all women's clothes and her husband handles men. read more

He does good work I can give him that but he is very very expensive. I won't mention his pricing here but for what he charges to fix men's pants and dress shirts you could buy the shirt you want at the size you want brand new from a department store. And I'm talking brand names etc. I can't speak for women's wedding dresses etc. but for men's clothes you are better off going somewhere else. I guess he caters to the Pinecrest area which is high income so he bases his prices on his clientele. He is also slow, over 2 weeks to get me 3 pieces of garment fixed He is very nice and it's a family owned business and again his work is good but pricing is high, very high! If you don't mind the drive go to west Kendall by hammocks and visit Joseph's Tailor Shop. I've had him do my suits, pants and dress shirt from a classic look to a modern slim fit and he is great and very economical. Had 3 pants and 3 shirts done in 5 days! read more

Ever thought about buying a dress from the clearance rack that's super cute, super cheap, but maybe 2 sizes too big? I know what you're thinking... What do you do with a dress that's 2 sizes too big? I used to think the same way, until I found Claude Albert French Tailor. Now, I no longer pass up good deals because I know that this man along with his daughter can make any outfit, regardless of the size, look like it was made for me. I've used them on several occasions and have left a satisfied customer every time. They are not the cheapest around, but they get the job done well and in a timely fashion, which is always a plus. Need some hemming? Or some straight-up revamping of a dress that you thought you'd never wear again? Head over to Claude Albert French Tailor - They will get the job done! read more

i miss claude albert deeply. he was my go to tailor when i lived in the area, basically my whole life. from fixing a pants hem to taking in a dress he was my guy. then i moved and it has become hugely inconvenient to get to him during business hours. i have yet to find someone who i adore and trust. i dont accurately remember prices, but i do remember it wasnt cheap. but i can vouch for his precision, honesty, timeliness, and overall great customer service. he is the cutest little old frenchman who makes you laugh and returns your clothes in perfect condition! i highly recommend him and hope to someday move back to the neighborhood, being close to him, is that big of a perk!! read more

I found Claude through Yelp, I needed a dress fitted quickly and came here due to the great reviews. I am not disappointed at all. They did beautiful alterations on a dress I brought in, for a great price. My husband also brought in pants where the hem was falling, and they fixed it right then and there! I will be returning with all my tailoring needs. read more

Took my wedding dress to them for hemming, as I am quite a shortie :) Thought the price was a bit steep, but the wedding was soon, and other Yelpers had said good things. I am SOOO glad I did! I found out a week before the wedding that I was pregnant! Tried on my dress and it barely zipped! I couldn't BREATHE!! I ran back to the tailor's CRYING thinking that I would not be able to wear my beautiful dress on my big day. They calmed me down and let my dress out in plenty of time for my wedding! AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! She told me it was a wedding gift for me and the baby :) These guys are ANGELS!! read more

Impeccable service and quality. I took my boyfriend to get his suit pants hemmed but I would probably trust them with my wedding dress. Juliette is AMAZING! My Monique Lhuillier wedding dress didn't quite fit me (but I fell in love with it and bought it anyways). Every seamstress I went to said extending the back wouldn't be a problem... with a corset. The problem was, I didn't want a corset! Juliette, expanded the back of my dress so no corset was needed and it was perfect. She was extremely well priced, fast and so wonderful to work with~ I HIGHLY recommend this tailor for any and all alterations (especially with something as precious as your wedding dress). A++! read more

I had my wedding dress altered there several times (had the top cut off and reworked, sides taken in and bustle put on) and I was so pleased with the results. Not only were they timely and did what I asked, but they were SO REASONABLE. Many brides don't know that if you purchase a dress at a shop and have it altered there, the cost can be INSANE (ie a friend of mine bought a dress at Priscilla of Boston they charged $700 for basic alterations!!!!) Claude Albert did mine for a fraction of the price and did a lot more work on my gown than hers. I would absolutely recommend them! read more

Juliet almost ruined my wedding dress. Two days before my wedding I had to grab my dress and find another tailor to fix it. She took in the sides too much and I could not move in my dress. She hemmed the bottom way too short and uneven. The dress was FILTHY and wrinkled and I was unable to get it cleaned before my wedding. She was unapologetic but probably because she requires payment up front. She did not offer a refund knowing the state the dress was in. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

Very sweet people. Came here to get a bridesmaids dress altered. About $100 to get it taken in and up and to have the lining adjusted. Definitely fit a lot better, but in the wedding pictures you can see the side zipper bulge out if you look carefully...not sure if getting it to fit PERFECTLY is even a realistic expectation though -- have never had to have other formal dresses altered to this extent. At least the alteration was done right on time -- they told me it would take two weeks, and I got a phone call exactly two weeks later to tell me it was done, as promised. read more

The tailors are a French couple. They're very experienced, flexible, and friendly. I've had several suits tailored here and they do stellar work! The only problem is the price. It costs approximately $300 to have a suit tailored. Can't really say how much other garments might cost. So just a heads up, they do quality work but things can get expensive quickly. read more

I went in two days before Thanksgiving to have a suit fully tailored and ready for pick up the next day. I bought the suit online and it was unfortunately 3 sizes too big for me but Serg and his wife were willing to make it work. I was given a price before we noticed how large the suit was and even though there was a considerable amount of additional work that needed to be done Serg kept his word with the original price, greatly appreciated his ethics. I got a call the next day notifying me that the suit was ready for pick up, they performed magic on this suit. I highly recommend this business: high ethical standards, incredibly quick service and professional alterations. read more

Had two suits tailored here and cannot say more how much I loved the service. Outstanding tailor work and it got to me a day early. Even with a bust shop they took the time to measure and tall about how I wanted the fit to be. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for great tailoring read more

This guy hemmed 2 pair of $200 jeans too short and did a crappy job. Since you can't add material to a hem they are ruined! I would never trust this arrogant man again. read more

Thank You Juliet! the Wedding of our daughter was a success thanks to you and all your family helpers! I don't have words to express our sincere appreciation for all you did for us in a very desperate moment, when we did not know with the damaged our dog had done to the dress and we only had 36 hrs. before we had to leave in our trip! The work you did was amazing, and I am sure no one else would had been able to do it in only 24 hours!!!. Took in two suits for alterations and they turned out great. One of the suits needed a lot of work since I'd dropped a considerable amount of weight since last using it and it was flawless. I went in asking for a next day miracle. I called prior and explained. The lady was excited over the phone to help in whatever way she could. Once I walked through the door her entire vibe/attitude change. I felt so uncomfortable that I just left out. She made me feel so uneasy. I had no problem with her not being able to fix my clothing just her attitude as soon as she saw ME and not my Dress was horrible. Had a expensive tuxedo tailored on a Friday for an event the next day -- considering that I had lost over 20 lbs, there was a considerable amount of work that had to be done and I had historically had bad experiences with other tailors. Next day as promised, the tuxedo was ready as promised and looked great. I would recommend French Juliet Tailor for any work that requires care and delicate tailoring. They were great. read more

After buying a wedding dress size 0 that ran big as a 2 and considering I am a 00.... Juliet was able to alter every inch of the dress to fit perfectly to my body and made my wedding dress what I expected. My dress was perfect! Juliet took the time to offer me her suggestions and even made a train for my dress and cut the dress in a way that I was never going to step on the tulle... That way I could comfortably walk and dance without tripping or ripping the dress and the way she cut it provided a flow and bounce to it. I felt and looked amazing and although it was pricey... It was professionally done and worth every dollar! I will definitely bring Juliet all the dresses I buy and clothes to alter. read more
