I honestly thought I had no other options but I found Margarita'a Alterations and thought to give them a chance even though I had little to no hope. When I tried the dress on in the store the seamstress gave me several options but then we decided to remove half of the zipper and turn it into a corset back. I was very skeptical how it would turn it but they absolutely KILLED it! I will admit it wasn't cheap, I honestly thought it would be less pricy but it was honestly worth it. I've been coming here for 6 years and I love the way they've fixed all my clothing exactly how I envision it!

First off, it's so nice and refreshing to be greeted with such a sincere warm welcome at any local mom and pop store, let alone in Miami! After reading great reviews on both Yelp and Google, I decided to take a chance. The girls I dealt with, Alexandria and Candy, are so nice and personable. They listened and understood my needs. I brought in two pairs of jeans that needed fixing. After 10 months of having these jeans, which quickly became my favorite, the zipper teeth broke off on both. I emailed them pictures and they replied a couple of hours later to bring them in. I brought them in the next day and Alexandria was confident that they could replace the zipper without any issues. I wasn't in a big rush so she said in one week they would be ready and they were. The new zipper happens to be the same brand as the old zipper, YKK, with the exception that this new zipper is of higher quality: stronger and sturdier. The old zipper was slim, flimsy and of cheaper quality, good for book bags, not jeans. Four days later, I brought in two brand new pairs of jeans to get hemmed. I had previously purchased these to replace the ones with the broken zippers, but they only came in tall size. Candy, helped me out and I asked her to please match the same length as the ones they are working on. She said no problem and that they would be ready when I pick up my other jeans. Great! The hemming done by Margarita's Alterations was perfect. It even matched the stitch color. I am very happy with the work done by Margarita's Alterations. I now know I can fully trust them with my garments. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs their clothes altered or repaired. Had a great experience with Margarita's Alterations! I needed to alter my bridesmaid dress - the bride requested mid calf and the dress was a little loose on me. I called and asked for a quote but they needed to see the dress to give an accurate one - which is understandable. I went over there and they quoted about $60 to take it in and hem it. Then they took my measurements and said it would be ready in 2 weeks. Exactly 2 weeks later, I receive a text in the morning stating my garment was ready for pick up. I tried it on in-house and it fit perfectly! The dress material was silk-like with a flowy hem and they kept the integrity of the original cut seamlessly. There are many alteration businesses out there, but the perfect 5 star reviews are what brought me here. I had a bridesmaid dress that was HUGE on me. It was a high neck, spaghetti strap, backless navy dress with a slit in the leg and was a good 3 sizes too big on me. The straps needed to be shortened, the busy needed to be taken in, hips and waist needed to be taken in, and the length needed to be shorter as well. I brought the dress in 2 weeks before I needed it to be finished altering. Margarita's said absolutely no problem at all! I had the initial fitting for her to pin everything and work on. I went in a second time to make adjustments and get the hem line adjustment. The third time I went in, it was to pick up the dress and I was praying it would fit right. IT FIT PERFECTLY!
