I had just brought a brand new pair of pants and was super excited to wear them to work and show them off. While I was running an errand nearby, I squatted to get into my car and suddenly heard the sound of a mega rip down the inside of my pants...... super embarrassing!!!!! This review has been way overdue but more than worthy to provide for the owner of his business of Remy Tailor, Alex. I have the pleasure of knowing Alex and his boutique tailor company for close to 20 years. When I first got introduced to his shop I began taking some sports related jerseys I was wanting to have fit me a little better and I was impressed with the work he did. Over the last 19 years I have brought Alex numerous pieces of my wardrobe including pants, jeans, night jackets, suits, and tuxedos. Alex has even been able to customize for me at least 30 caps which I needed to fit cause the cap store didnt have it available in my size. The most noteworthy and highest recognition I can say is that Alex has made a number of unique customized pieces for me including four (4) military customized jackets as well as customized shirts with unique patches I had purchased and the quality of the work was top notch! Whenever I wear my "special project" items he created I always receive the highest compliments and people wanting to know where did I buy the items. I'm one of those guys who for the longest time bought clothes without much regard for fit. It looks good on the rack, the size is what I usually buy, so everything good, right? Wrong! Fit is perhaps the most important part of the clothes. So one day I decided all of these jeans and pants I would relegate to the dark ends of my closet were still good, they just needed to fit better. Everyone's professional here, but it's kinda no frills. If you take a sample and ask them to alter it they'll nail it every single time. They always quote me a week to get it done, which is fine for me. They saved me tons of money by making clothes I already have fit perfectly, many jeans and slacks. So while it is a bit on the pricey side, I'm willing to pay because it's still many times cheaper than buying new clothes. Recommended! read more

During a gala event, I suffered a wardrobe malfunction... yes, those that left you speechless in front of a bunch a strangers. Long story short, I was able to graciously exit the venue without any scratch. My really beautiful dress needed help pronto, and my boss recommended me Remy Tailor. Kind of far since I live in North Miami Beach, but totally worthy because they left my expensive dress just like new. After I commented earlier that my mother fixed the dress more effectively so I could actually zip it up, the zipper completely broke two hours later when trying to zip it back up and needed to be held up with tape and pins. Later when I tried to take it off it was stuck at the top of the zipper (I don't know if it was a poor quality zipper or what but I did not have this problem even when it was too tight) and my husband literally had to cut through the zipper with a scissors so I could take it off. Then instead of appearing at all apologetic to my previous comment he responded to my previous honest review by saying I was too fat to fit into the dress, and that it zipped up fine on the mannequin. That's strange since it didn't "zip up fine" when it was just hanging on the hanger. read more

My son performed at a ballroom gala on Sunday afternoon. Assuming they would fit, we tried on his pants on Saturday at 2pm (the day before) and it was not good.
