This review is mainly to ensure that this kind of scam and terrible experience does not happen to others in the community. In October 2025, I decided to trust a local shop -Marce Atelier- here in Coral Gables that offered to replicate, in a different color, an impeccable jacket he absolutely loves. The tailor, Marce and his son assured him they could make an identical copy in black. On December 31st, they delivered the first disaster. These individuals clearly had no idea what they were doing--a piece full of defects that was completely unwearable. I personally accompanied him back to the shop, where the son attended us. He took new measurements while a dove walked around us and once again promised it would be ready in a week. Time passed, and only after being pressured did they admit they couldn't fix the original. They claimed they had made a new one using "wonderful fabric" they had purchased again. I am fashion lover and high-quality craftsmanship, and honestly, when I saw this atrocity, I was speechless. The fabric looked old, cheap, stained, and marked, and the construction was something you would expect from a beginner in a sewing class--a complete insult to good taste and basic intelligence. These two individuals are only capable of doing basic hemming or low-quality work, not handling important garments. They are simply the best. I got a bespoke shirt from another tailor and loved it. I then got one from Marce and realized just how good a tailor could be. Marce and Juanita are literally the best tailors around. I came to them with two dresses that were very complicated and I'll fitting, and needed them both done in a very short amount of time. These were bridesmaids dresses that urgently needed to be completed, and I could not find anyone else in the area willing to do such a complicated job in the amount of time I needed. Marce and Juanita fixed both to fit me perfectly, and essentially created a brand new beautiful dress out of one that was three sizes too large. They were so kind, responsive and professional. Worst experience ever - I brought a bridesmaid dress to be tailored and called in the day it was supposed to be ready and they had not done it. Thank god I added in a little bit of buffer before when I actually needed. Then, they suggested I bring up the shoulders rather than taking it in, and the dress did not look good when I tried it on. The way they had tailored it caused it to flip out in a weird way. When I asked about it, he did not even care. He just said that's the style of the dress and there's nothing they can do. I brought in 2 dresses to be altered. Cons:The work was a bit pricier than other places. One alteration wasn't done because the hem was marked with chalk, but he thought it was a pin that had fallen out. Then he tried to charge me the same quoted price even though the hem wasn't adjusted. In the end he knocked off $5. At times it was difficult to get a hold of them - I called during the listed business hours but they weren't in the shop yet. Pros: The work that was actually done was done well. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Marce Designers. I was flying into Miami for a wedding and needed to have my suit jacket altered. I contacted Antonio via Yelp's messaging system prior to my arrival to see if they could have the alteration done for me within a couple of days. He said that he should be able to so he was my first stop straight from the Airport. He called me the next morning to telling me it was done! It's great to find this quality of service in Miami, my hometown, where somebody always has an excuse for everything. I'm happy with the quality of work performed and they even rearranged the sleeve's buttons to make them kiss which, if you don't know, separates the hand-finished suits from the machine made ones like my off-the-rack Macy's suit. This is truly a Coral Gables tailor. Their level of service and attention is unparalleled. They're responsive, helpful, pleasant and accommodating. I've used them a couple of times now for alterations. I'm quite particular about using the original hem and each time they've done an impeccable job. They're a little hard to find as they're on the second level of a building that's otherwise unmarked, and once you're inside it's a little bit of a maze, but it's worth the hunt! Only one word needed-- Geniuses. But if you still need convincing here's my story. As someone tall and thin, I've been getting custom suits made since junior high. I've gone to the same tailor my dad went to growing up in India. In the past, he's made suits for me without needing me there with no issue. Until last time. I don't know what happened, but he must have thought I gained at least 100 lbs because when my mom brought the suit back for me it was a travesty. I honestly had no hope. I decided to take a flier on Marce and Antonio to see if they could fix it after seeing the kind things said about them by others on Yelp. The results speak for themselves. The suit looks better than how I ever imagined it and it looks like the kind of custom suit people would pay thousands for. The kind that you would want to wear down a red carpet and show off. My biggest regret is not taking a before and after picture to show just how brilliant these two are at what they do. What's more, they kept me posted on the status along the way. Keeping me clued in was very appreciated given how nervous I was about the suits to begin with. But it's more than just the alterations with these guys. Having seen other customers trying on their custom clothing after it's done, you can just see how high quality their custom work is. And it's not surprising. From one conversation with either Marce or Antonio, you can see the passion they have for their work. They enjoy what they do and take pride in being the best they possibly can be (Antonio, a fellow car enthusiast, practices his stitching in his spare time and showed me some of the replicas of signature stitching seen in cars--- it was excellent for the record). I entrusted Marce with a pair of corduroy pants my husband needed for an upcoming New England trip. They needed to be taken in at the seam because they were too bag for him. I brought them on a Wednesday with a promise that they would be ready no later than Saturday. I returned on a Tuesday expecting them to have maybe forgotten to call me. To much surprise they still weren't ready. I told them I would return the next day in the morning. I came early afternoon and they still weren't ready. As a matter a fact he was still working on them! My husband was flying out that same day and it was a huge inconvenience to wait for them to finish. If they weren't to have them done, they should have called. Regardless of the difficulty of the product, or the amount of work they had. Purely unacceptable. Never returning here again. read more

Antonio is nice and so helpful, this is the perfect place to go for custom design and tailor work. I've found it really hard to find this service in Miami before, not anymore! Marce offers what your regular seamstress at the cleaners does not. This is not the place to take your regular pants to be hemmed or shirts to be pressed. Rather, a place for unique custom work that you can design from start to finish. Working with the person be who will actually be doing the work on your garment is a significant advantage.
