I took three pencil skirts to be tapered and she said she couldn't alter one because of the way it was hemmed. I took that one to another tailor and they did it no problem, I think she just didn't want to take the time and extra work. Also, one of the skirts was tapered unevenly with visible stitching and she blocked half the zipper. When I mentioned it to her she was just like oh well and didn't offer to discount the poor work.
