What a cool place in OTR adjacent to Findlay Market. French inspired brunch menu. I had the French onion soup and a salad, while my wife had the special BLT omelette . We both were craving an espresso martini aside from our usual Bloody Mary. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. They have a full bar with many mixed drink options and decent beer lists. The server was super friendly and attentive. French Crust is usually busy on the weekends so make a reservation or get there early.

My friend and I were shopping at Findlay Market on a Wednesday in early October and popped in to see what they were serving for their Lunch Tray Special. I only knew about these lunches from following them on social media. Each week they serve a different lunch Weds.-Fri. at the bar for $19. It's enough food that we both took a bit home. The ambiance is bright, and you can't miss seeing all the of the salt and pepper shakers in the display case - what a hoot! We had chicken breast over rich mashed potatoes, a yummy quinoa salad, homeade tomato soup, and a frozen strawberry puff pastry item. Everything was delicious (although the dessert was a bit odd), and for the price, it was steal for lunch. We will be back to try more! As a bonus, while we were there, Molly Wellman was consulting with the bartender. We tried her Cincinnati Gin and she explained the history of how she chose the recipe and went into a deep dive of the history of distilling in Cincinnati. So we had a very educational lunch! Thanks Molly!

My friends and I absolutely loved French Crust! The service was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was upbeat, energetic, and the whole place was buzzing. Our server, Carissa, was lovely. We started with French press coffee. Perfect. Initially just two of us were drinking it and quickly two more cups were poured. Coffee perfection. Everything we ordered was fabulous: eggs Benedict, Skinny Benedict, FCC Tomato goat cheese, Goat quiche, and the omelette du jour. everything loved their order! We'll be back.

Came here for brunch, and boy, I was not disappointed. Order their duo salmon with cream of chicken soup, pistachio croissant and their croque madame. Was never really a fan of cream of chicken as they usually tasted like the can ones. But was craving for a soup that day, and I was glad I ordered it! Their cream of chicken has real chicken in there! There shredded chicken meat in there and you can find soft bones in there too. So they pretty much threw the whole chicken in there shimmer it till the meat fall off the bones before removing the bones. Love it! They also added barley in it, giving it that grainy texture. Never knew I'm actually a fan of barley! Their duo salmon... it's definitely a must have! Croissant sandwich with salmon, tomato and egg mayo?! What more can you ask for?! Egg mayo in Croissant!

Busy crowd on weekends, but wonderful to pop in on a trip to Findlay Market. Was able to walk in on a Sunday and enjoy the fresh croissants, coffee, omelette with fruit and the eggs Benedict. Prices are a little expensive but is great food and service. One of my favorite places to bring friends from out of town.

Absolutely loved this place. Had nice decor and friendly staff. They offered opinions and ordered the quiche Loraine and it was the bomb. The wife ordered montecristo and wow it was amazing. Definitely a great place to try and highly recommend giving it a try.

Saturday brunch reservations for 2 with one of my good friends. She had the Caesar salad and I had the flat croissant with Swiss and mushrooms, side of Caesar salad and a bowl of French onion soup. We both had the French artisanal lemonade which was tart and delicious! My only sad note was the French onion soup- it was nice and fresh.... A little too fresh without the onions caramelizing down into that sweet onion thick brown goodness. It was an onion soup with bread and cheese instead. So watery thin I thought at first the broth was oil floating to the top. Otherwise the service was excellent without the staff getting pushy when we stayed and chatted after the 3pm close time. Everyone was super gracious about it. And the atmosphere and ambiance was definitely supportive of girls brunch, date brunch or solo brunch.

Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Breakfast was so fresh and light! We were looking for a breakfast on the lighter side after a night at the Luke Bryan concert so popped into French crust and they did not disappoint. Weather was perfect for outside dining. Our Coffee was delicious and the omelette du jour was mozzarella, Arugula and tomato with a fruit bowl on the side. Great way to start our day!

Located in the Findlay Market, the French Crust Cafe and Bistro is a great place for breakfast and brunch. Popular by many, there was a wait at the 10 am opening. Standard breakfast fare with foods like goetta, omelets, french toast & good coffee. Recommend taking a break from the market where delicious food and drinks are served.

One of my favorite food emporiums in Cincinnati. Located at Findlay Market. I was sorry to hear of Chef Jean-Robert's passing. What a major impact he had on the local food scene. Nice bistro menu, excellent environment , and ably served by Madisyn. I come here every Cincinnati visit. You should too.

We tried about one of everything. I don't like to regret not getting something lol. The snails were very tasty, flavorful. I did not enjoy chomping on a piece of shell though :) The macaroni is not like macaroni we are used to. Not the right noodles and it has mushrooms and something else in it. It was alright, big bowl of noodles. French onion soup was a bit sweeter than I like but very tasty. Burger was nothing special. Just a normal burger. The chicken was good but all the salt was sprinkled on top.

Fantastic service, great food and fun location near Findlay Market! Very small place so if it's a busy day I would make a reservation. But we went on a Friday morning and were fine.

Creamy Chicken Soup

Lovely cafe in the heart of OTR and across the street from Findlay Market. I have been here a few times and have always ordered the same thing because it HAD always been fantastic. While the establishment looked mostly the same and the wait staff was still friendly since my last visit two years ago, I noticed a decline in the quality of my food. The bowl of "Creamy Chicken Soup" was completely off the usual mark. It was very watery as if someone had added more chicken broth or water to make the pot go further. I thought that perhaps this was a new recipe and so disappointedly continued to eat the soup. The flavor was still good, it just lacked the consistency of any type of "creamy" soup as the menu name states. After paying the bill I asked the waitresses if there was a new recipe or chef since the soup seemed to be so off point from years ago. She said that she also noticed that it was watery and actually thought it was a different soup that day, but in fact, it was just a watery day. If she had noticed that the soup seemed off from the normal consistency, then she should have warned us of the change or suggested the French Onion soup instead. The Quiche seemed to be a bit overcooked. While the egg portion seemed fine, the crust was very brown indicating a pinch too long in the oven. Portion size was very big however. I just avoided the crust altogether. This was a special pre-Christmas brunch with a family member, so it was bit disappointing to have the food quality diminished from previous visits,

Pretty cafe for a relaxing brunch and the food was really good. Easy to find meals you don't typically see at a good price.

The food is outstanding across the board--from the steaks to the cheese sticks--but the real star is their bread pudding. It's absolutely worth the trip from anywhere in the tri-state area. Parking is also easy and convenient, with a garage right across the street, as well as their own lot and additional street parking. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal and an even better experience.

They have a charming patio at the back of the interior space as well. I didn't realize they have their own lot, but in case it's full, there is plenty of street parking nearby. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and kept drink refills flowing. We ordered the pretzel and beer cheese and the poutine for starters. The pretzel was huge and tasty. I didn't care for the beer cheese, probably because I was expecting a more solid cheese product. I would describe this more as a cream sauce. It didn't seem to have much cheese in it and was very 'liquidy'. Also the ramekin was only half full. If it had tasted better, I would have asked for more, but as it was not, we didn't even finish what was given. I thought it was a bit pricey at $12.95 for one large pretzel. On the other hand, the poutine was fantastic! A very unique take on the dish with a mix of cheese curds (although they reminded me more of pieces of mozzarella sticks), french fries and Andouille cream gravy. I ordered the fish tacos which consisted of Blackened Salmon, Thai Chili Sauce, Black Bean Corn Salsa, Pico de Gallo. My order came with two and they were fantastic! Since Blinkers is known for steaks, I will have to give them another try at dinner time.

After seeing my niece graduate from college, our entire family and guests, all eight of us,…read moredescended on Coppin's restaurant for brunch. Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

Going back and forth on stars for this one. Me and around 30 of my coworkers came into town for a…read moretwo day workshop and they got us a room block at this hotel. I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.
