I got my 2019 Jetta tinted all around at Freeway Tint and I couldn't be happier with my experience. I thought I was gonna have to pay a tint removal fee as I always thought my car had a little bit of tint already but today I found out that was just the natural color of the glass. Because of this I got to dodge the removal fee I was originally quoted. These workers could've pretended they took off the tint that I thought existed and charged me extra but they are honest here. This review is long overdue and to be honest it happened last year around July. However due to a recent exchange with the manager Ruben - here we are. Ruben, do not publicly state you offered to refund our money and when we actually ask for it back you backpedal. Then referencing our yelp review as your interpretation the matter was settled and now stating we didn't allow you to file an insurance claim for the problem. A bit of back story.. They did the tint on my brand new 2021 car and damaged the window rubber lining by cutting it with a blade and scraping the plastic panel on my trunk lift. Ruben ultimately claims there was black tape on it from a previous tint that prevented them from laying down the film properly. This vehicle was 3 months off the lot with absolutely no tint on it. After inspection he offered to order the part and fix the problem in house. I declined and expressed my reasons why I was not comfortable with them doing the work. He insisted that they should have the opportunity to fix the problem. But, I refused and told him I was going to my dealership. He agreed and said he will figure something out. He claimed we would have been notified if they knew there was damage. In my opinion the second you have to take out a blade to try and scrape off "tape" a second look is warranted. He claimed that the lighter sections around the edge of my trunk panel was extra plastic. Wrong- my dealership ended up switching out that entire part because it was bent plastic from their wedge tool pushing against it during the tint application. Ultimately, my dealership was very helpful and understanding. They replaced everything that was damaged by Freeway Tint. Side note: We choose to go with this location because it utilized technology to precut tint film minimizing potential for application error. At the end of the day we are all human and make mistakes- that's completely understandable. However, you made promises and posted publicly that you offered options to resolve the problem just to save face but didn't have any intentions of following through. I hope the $200 was worth losing a client and future referrals. read more

Professional publicly yet on the phone was very rude. He offered to pay for damages and refund our tint cost publicly, but when we called it was a different story. We called asking for a refund for our tint and he said since we posted a review on Yelp about our experience he figured the situation was squashed. So I guess an honest review about our experience cancels out his offer of a refund for damages? This has been spread out for months and life got away from us due to COVID. I'd seen place off the freeway, and had been trying to get my windows down for sometime. I spend lots of time driving for work. I popped in early in the morning without an appointment. They explained that though an a appointment is preferable, they were willing to help. Go it done fairly quickly, and at a good price. I felt very comfortable with my car in their care, and saw first hand their professionalism with customers that came thru. By no means was my car even close to being the most expensive vehicle they were working on but felt I was treated as an equal to those customers that entrusted them with vehicles 5x more expensive than mine.
